Location is off the main road, so the hotel is in a quiet lane. Room is very clean and comfortable. Hotel is quite convenient and Keells supermarket is within walking distance. Strong wifi.

One has to go up to the 6th floor to the bar to check-in. However, the bar did not serve any food. There did not appear to be too many eateries nearby, so you would have to take a Tuk Tuk somewhere else for dinner. You have to request for the hair-dryer as it is not provided in the room.

Very beautiful hotel and a nice pool

Second time we stayed here on way to airport. Receptionist was much more approachable and helpful this time. Arranged our transport and a good breakfast for an early departure. Rooms were clean with good facilities.

We checked in at midnight, and the check-in process was smooth. It was very helpful to have someone at reception available 24 hours. The receptionist who checked us in, Geeth, was very kind and helpful – he even arranged food for us at that late hour. The manager and the steward were also very polite and welcoming. The room was good and the mattress was especially comfortable – we had a good night’s sleep Overall, the room prices are very reasonable, and the beds are really comfortable. A few small things in the room and hotel could use some updates, but apart from that, our stay was pleasant. Thank you!

One concern we had was with the smoking area on the 6th floor. At times, there were too many staff members gathered there, making it a bit uncomfortable. I sometimes had to go downstairs to smoke because of the crowd. Also, outside the Room, staff were laughing and shouting, which was quite disturbing – especially as we had just arrived and needed to rest. on the second day, we requested water from a housekeeping boy, but he didn’t seem to understand us and acted like he didn’t care. Thankfully, once we contacted reception, the issue was resolved quickly.

I had a wonderful stay at this hotel. The entire place was spotless and very well maintained, which immediately made me feel comfortable. The manager was excellent and always ready to help, and the staff in general were polite, attentive, and welcoming. What truly made my experience special, however, was the kindness of Geeth. He went above and beyond to organize a trip for me, which gave me the chance to discover a beautiful side of Sri Lanka that I will never forget. His thoughtfulness and dedication made my stay not just enjoyable, but truly memorable. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting the area – not only for its cleanliness and professionalism, but also for the genuine hospitality.

We recently stayed at City Hotel Colombo 02 and booked one Standard Room and one Family Room. The rooms were clean, comfortable, and very reasonably priced for the facilities offered. I accidentally overpaid at check-in, and before I even realized it, he returned the extra amount. I’ve traveled to many countries, but this level of honesty and service truly stood out. I am a Buddhist monk and had a peaceful stay at City Hotel Colombo 02. We checked in around 1:00 AM, very tired and hungry, and at that time no restaurants were open. Geeth at the reception was extremely kind—he went out of his way to prepare everything so we could make noodles. I truly appreciate his hospitality. The hotel reception is located on the 6th floor, with a beautiful view of Lotus Tower. The location is very convenient, the mattress was comfortable, and hot water was available 24 hours, which was a great plus. The price is also very reasonable. Thank you again to the team for the warm welcome and excellent service.

It was central to work

I had a wonderful experience staying at this hotel. Upon arrival, we faced an unfortunate situation where our wallet and passports were left behind in the taxi. Despite not having any payment ready, the hotel staff were incredibly understanding and allowed us to check in without any issues. They saw that we were women traveling with a child and kindly made an exception, which we truly appreciated. The room itself had a beautiful view of the Lotus Tower, which was a pleasant surprise. The location of the hotel was also perfect, as taxis and autos were easily available in the area, making it convenient to explore the city. It was also within walking distance to many well-rated restaurants and popular sightseeing spots in Colombo, which made our stay even more enjoyable. Overall, I highly recommend this hotel for its excellent service, convenient location, and stunning views.
