The staff were quite nice and polite, courteous and very helpful. When I need extras or things they brought them up for me. The cleaning crew were wonderful, I wasn't happy with the toilet seats, they quickly had someone sanitize it for me. The balcony was a wonderful addition. The AC worked perfectly, the room was small but very well ordained. The lighting was excellent. The bathroom and shower were really nice. I also enjoyed the breakfast, they were always willing to make custom items. The elevators worked very efficiently. The chair and table were helpful and the TV was working with limited channels.

The room was too small and could be bigger.

Excellent location in Colombo and very friendly and helpful staff. Clean and decently sized rooms with good reliable WiFi.

Location was good, 2 floors of rooms w/lift w/cafe, restaurant & bar all attached. Hotel has a long history in Colombo which I liked - it has beautiful wooden staircase and framed local photos. Note there are 2 sides & car park rooms are quieter but not as scenic as street side rooms.

Breakfast was a little lax - yes they’ll toast yr bread & yum omelettes available if you ask. Kitchen also prepares the cafe food so I guess they’re often busy??

The location of the hotel was fanastic, and the building itself was beautiful due to being from the colonial period. The waiter in the bamboo restaurant was extreme friendly and helpful throughout my stay, he is a credit to your company. I hope he goes on to become a restaurant manager.

The only annoying thing was the hoover/vacuum that room service had, it was like a jet engine, so so loud, if you needed a nap or a lie in then this wasn’t possible.

Hotel is ideally located quite close to colombo fort railway station and galle face and nearby to gangaramaya temple. The hotel is neat and clean and well maintained. The property though a heritage building, its interiors are well upgraded to provide the modern facilities. The breakfast was good, particularly the sri lankan cuisine.The staff are well behaved and helpful and provided packed breakfasts on two early morning trips.

The hot water was only warm but it was not a problem since the local weather was hot and humid.

The breakfast was nice and they custom made items. The rooms were small but very comfortable with a beautiful balcony. I liked the bathroom. They quickly cleaned things that were not up to my hygiene standards. The staff were friendly and helpful. The housekeeping crew was really great. The reception could use a little more friendliness. A bit cold there. The tea shop is great in the facility.

We only stayed here for half a night after a late night flight, the check in process at 4 am was easy and the guy at the front desk was very friendly.

We messaged the hotel a few days before our stay to confirm the late night check in and didn't receive a response. There was no issue during our arrival itself, but it would have been nice to have some peace of mind beforehand.

We loved the location, central for all the tourist sights and close to the city centre. Food in the restaurant for breakfast and afternoon buffet was excellent. Really tasty and great choice.

We were disappointed that the concierge staff were unable to provide assistance with tours of the city or help with obtaining train and taxi tickets. In all the other hotels and home stays that we stayed at over the last 6 weeks, they all offered that service.

Great hotel in the center with affordable price. I recommend it. It has also balcony. Breakfast was also good which was included with Sri Lanka fruits. I asked for earlier check in and they accepted my request. Also after check out we kept our luggage there too and in the afternoon we took it back and headed to next city.

in the morning about 10 AM they asked will you check out which in my opinion it is better not to ask cause if guest have plan to stay more he will inform in advance and even if he stayed more he will pay penalty and also hotel can ask for check out in the last time like 12 if room is already booked for next guest which will come at 14. also if there was refrigerator would be great but as I said in general hotel and staff were great.

excellent hotel. good breakfast. good wifi. very clean and friendly staff. good location plus added convenience of restaurant / bar and cafe on site.
