Everything was exceptional. Loved our stay there !

One of the main pool was closed for renovations. Which was understandable. It should have reflected on the price

We stayed at the ITC hotel in Colombo for 7 nights in early March this year. This hotel far exceeded our expectations. The food was great as was our Tower room. A bonus was the complimentary drinks and snacks we received during the Luxury Hours between 5.30pm and 7.30pm each day, as well as the complimentary laundry of 4 pieces of clothing each day. But best of all was the service we received from each and every member of staff. It's difficult therefore to single out particular people for praise, as they were all excellent, but a few whose names I managed to remember and who went the extra mile are Dinethuma from Customer Relations on the front desk. She spent a lot of time getting to know us and kept in regular touch with us during our stay to make sure we were ok. Others who went the extra mile in terms of their smiles, welcome and general helpfulness were: Kanjana and Andrew from the Indian Pavilion restaurant, Mark from maintenance and Kavindu who served us from the bar on the 29th floor where live music is played every evening. The pool guys were also super helpful and welcoming. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the ITC and will be returning next year.

There wasn't anything to dislike.

The staff, the location, the hotel, the facilities, the experience everything in this property is a 10/10. Special mention about the restaurant Indian Pavilion, the staff there was exception - the breakfast spread insanely wide and delicious. ITC Ratnadipa is not a hotel, it is a feeling. A feeling of warmth and joy, a feeling of family taking care of family. Thank you and will see you soon again.

one suggestion - the bathrooms have a sheer roll down blind which is transparent - which is not ideal if you are travelling with friends. That privacy curtain should be OPAQUE. Do consider the same. Thanks.

- Superb hospitality and service - Laundry was priced reasonably and done on time - Infinity pool was the highlight - Buffet dinner and breakfast were great. Kudos to the chef for catering to my nut allergy - Room had everything I needed, which included a touch pad to control all the lights and air condition - Everything appears to still be brand new considering that the hotel opened up this year - Location right across from the beach and sunset view from the pool

- Still some parts of the building under construction including the sky pool - Hard wood floor in room was too noisy when walking - Balcony door might not be sealed tight since I heard subtle noises from the street below as if the door or window was slightly cracked open

Room size was amazing, view was amazing, staff are friendly and very accommodating, in room dining and breakfast is delicious, pool was awesome, there are many spots within the building for our insta photos, lobby is amazing, room service was awesome and the ipad to control the entire room from aircon, tv, lights and drapes was a 5 star touch.

Hotel still new so they will improve over time, overall stay was amazing. Just a few things to consider; Turn off that light in the balcony, we wanted to wake up to the view / sunrise but couldnt as we had to close the drapes at night because there is a light constantly on in the balcony which we had no control over. Was also frustrating there was an issue with the the TV network all channels kept freezing and blacking out every 5 - 6 min. The water from the shower was leaking into the toilet space, floor towel was always wet in the toilet due to this

The Location was excellent . Staff fantastic. Rooms were fabulous - I was in Tower room with Ocean view -I could see Galle Face with exceptional brilliant views from 22nd floor , while on the other side I could see Beira Lake and Cinnamon Life . This was particularly brilliant on New Year's eve when there was unbelievable fire works and drone show on Galle Face and Fire Works from Cinnamon Life over Beira lake. The Cleaning staff are brilliant and they even sometimes clean the rooms twice.Avartana Restaurant was Exceptional even though the 13 course meal i wanted my friends to enjoy took nearly 4 hours to complete. Aktar, Arshad, Dumindu, Nadeera, Divyan and Karthigai who work at Avartana served us well. I walked past Mrs Nita Ambani one morning after Breakfast and was in shock, at seeing her at ITC. Indian Ocean Pavillion [restaurant] and Peshawari Restaurant were good too. Had Buffet Lunch at Indian Ocean pavillion as well as Breakfast on most days. The Best part of ITC Ratnadipa is the Amazing Ahasa Bar on 29th Floor. The Spectacular Ocean views and the beautiful interior of Ahasa Bar was spectacular.....

They have still not fully worked out the main entrance with confusing Entrances at Ground and Level 1. You can't enter at Ground , but can exit at Ground level. I feel they need to get this sorted properly. Breakfast was chaotic. There was 400-500 people having Breakfast at same time, but the staff numbers were short. So you ask for Salt and Pepper and it may take 20 minutes before you see it , similiarly Butter took a fair while to come.

1. Location and the views of the beach and the city 2. The Breakfast is very inclusive, plenty of options for vegetarians, Indians, Chinese, Middle Eastern folks 3. The sense of resposnbile luxury - the overall UI/UX of every small detail. E.g. the emergency alert in the bathrooms 4. The artwork on the walls and the confluence of Indian and Sri Lankan sensibilities in every aspect of the property 5. The Luxury hours is a classic ITC touch, allowed us to wind down and summarize the day as a family 6. We've stayed at both the properties, ITC Ratnadeepa beats Shangri-La hands down

1. Some parts of the room did get slightly dusty, possibly due to ongoing construction in the residential tower...but it did not come in the way of the overall experience

I had an exceptional experience during my stay! Mark, the personal trainer, was incredibly professional and tailored my workouts perfectly to my needs. Ashan from room service was always prompt and attentive, making sure I had everything I needed for a comfortable stay. Divanjalee and Sachinie did an amazing job with my manicure and facial treatment; I left feeling completely refreshed and pampered. Great Location . Nice view of the sea . Good facilities. Multiple restaurant options. Friendly and helpful staff. Spacious and comfortable rooms . Luxury hour was splendid with short eats and fine drinks .

Check in process could be more crisp or would’ve been better if were made to sit through the process instead of having had to stand the whole time . The hand soap kept in the bathroom seemed used (although I’m sure it wasn’t , it’s probably recycled or something). Rooms were clean but the balcony could’ve been cleaner .
