24h reseption. Good location and very friendly staff. Free coffee and tee. Airport transfer for 6000 rup including tol was super easy to book from reseption and driver was on time. Trip took only about 30min to airport.

A bit pricy for hostel and no lock on dorm room door.

Excellent location for buses & Colombo Fort train station. Cafes, Old Dutch hosp complex nearby. Efficient, welcoming, helpful staff who understand the needs of travellers. Stayed 3x this trip. Very easy to leave luggage after checkout. Rooms have effective air condit, comfy beds with very clean fresh linen. Great place to stay for 1st time arrival in Colombo., also secure.

The shared mens toilet, bathroom and showers are a bit squeezy.. The two wash basins beside the door mean you can get hit by door when it opens. Showers need better hanging hooks inside.. but minor design issue overall.

The staff at this hotel are excellent, from the front desk to the cleaners...all friendly, offering help and advice with anything you need, asking if you need anything. Our queen room was a great size, lots of hot water, the bed and pillows comfortable. Coffee/tea is offered for free every morning and afternoon. 2 small bottles of water provided daily. We were able to put some drinks and snacks in their fridge on the main floor. There is a big lobby with lots of comfy chairs for you sit and relax. There is a roof top lobby although we opted to stay on the main floor a/c lounge. Pettah, One Galle Face Mall and park are all in walking distance. Gangaramaya Temple is a 3 km tuk tuk ride away and I recommend you don't miss it. We would highly recommend this hotel.

There were not a lot of restaurants in the immediately area. There is a bakery around the corner that is decent. The One Galle Face Mall has quite a large food court with many choices, western and Asian. Cargills around the corner has a small grocery store and liquor store.

Pros: - Superb location, near many tourist sites and near Fort Colombo Railway Station - GOOD PRICE. - Comfortable and clean lobby, rooms, and bathrooms - Each bed is comfortable to sleep in, and has its own nightlight. - Air conditioning in the room and at the lobby is superb. - Wifi seems to work fine. - Staff are all accommodating and knowledgeable about where to go and what to do. - Because I went during one of the hottest seasons, I appreciated that they sold cold water.

Cons: - A bit quiet at night outside the hostel, so take some care if you will be walking outside (unless you have some vehicle) - Dorm rooms don't have keys, although the staff reassure that nothing will happen to your things. They do have cabinets with locks (but bring your own lock). This bothered me a bit, but I didn't lose anything and, as far as I know, neither did my roommates.

We needed an accommodation near the train station for an early start and this hotel was very convenient. Walkable but we had luggage so got a tuc tuc arranged by the hotel. Staff were very good, efficient and helpful and there was tea and coffee provided at certain times in the communal area. Also within easy reach of all Columbo's attractions with transport.

We knew there was no food at the hotel but for a first night in Sri Lanka only a few restaurants locally. The hotel wasn't in the best area, the hotel warned us to be careful and always to ask for tic tic prices up front but we didn't have any problems and enjoyed being with locals rather than tourists.

Very nice, clean and spacious room. The bathroom was nice and rather new. It was very quiet. The window was indeed there but it was overlooking the corridor and a type of window well. The window was darkened and had blinds so there was no privacy issue, plus I was only staying one night so I didn't need the view anyway. The hotel is very well located in the nearby tourist attractions as well as the railway station and the seaside. The hotel is on the street leading to the presidential/gov area so it's very safe and sound even it doesn't look at first sight.

The beds could be more comfortable but it's nothing you cannot handle. Beware of scams in the nearby streets - although it's generally safe and I was mainly there during evening hours, some people may stop you, ask questions, start explaining there is a nearby event and tuktuk comes out of nowhere willing to take you there. It's not hotel's fault but it's worth to be alert on that while walking around this area.

Very pleasant hostel in superb location close to attractions of the Fort and Pettah areas. Railway and bus stations about 900m away. Modern hotel like ambience. Dormitory was excellent with very comfortable bunks each with individual light, electric socket and large locker. Towel and quilt provided. Good sized room with effective air con, Good wifi. Bathroom was clean and bright with enough showers and toilets. Hot water shower too. There was a shared kitchen but I didn't use it so can't comment on it. Nice lobby/dining area with tables to sit at. I had an evening flight and was allowed to leave luggage after checkout while I went sightseeing. The staff were very pleasant and helpful. They arranged a taxi to the airport for 6000R including the expressway toll - there in 45 mins and worth it to avoid the tuk tuk/bus/tuk tuk combination. Very good restaurant one block away (Fort Pillawoos on Chatham St)

Nothing really

Fantastic, affordable hotel that genuinely feels like a 4 star. Staff are super helpful too and the location is great but be careful of the men on the streets pretending to be the manager of this hotel. They will try to mislead you to a temple and a fake one day exhibition and then take a lot of money from you. Do Not Entertain Them.

The scammers on the street.

This was the perfect place to stay after a long flight. They were great with communicating and helped organise to book a car to pick us up from the airport. As soon as we landed they were messaging us with details for the pick up. When we arrived to the hotel at 12:30am, the staff were very welcoming and helpful. Couldn't have had a smoother and easier first night in Sri Lanka. The staff went above and beyond, even giving us some advice for travelling around the city and catching transport etc. Would definitely recommend, especially if you are after something cheap, safe and in a central location.

We stayed two nights at C1 Colombo in the 2-bedroom suite. Both bedrooms were spacious and having two bathrooms was a great plus. The lounge area was comfortable and very spacious also, and the kitchen was well appointed (although we didn't use it). C1 Colombo is well located in the Fort area, with easy access to the Dutch Hospital and Pettah markets. The staff on the front desk were friendly and helpful.

Although both bedrooms had their own air conditioners (which was great), there was no air conditioning in the lounge or kitchen areas, which made spending any time in these rooms uncomfortable. We had to wait about 45 mins for our room to become available after the designated check-in time.
