The room was clean and just like it was described on the website. I was in the "single" room, which was literally just large enough to hold the twin bed and space to shuffle around it. Great for a solo traveler, not sure how two people would make this work. Breakfast was really nice and available for many hours. This location is literally across the street from the T subway train, which gets you downtown in 10 minutes. The hotel is also a short (<5 minute) walk from countless shops, coffee places, and restaurants. Staff was super friendly and helpful. Isaac particularly. Desk staff all spoke English fluently and friendly. Guests from all over Europe and North America.

The room didn't have AC (but I think this is standard for Stockholm). There was a big window in the room that I could open to ventilate it. The bathroom is small but functional; the shower does get water all over the bathroom, but again this might be typical for the area.

We were given a warm welcome by the guy in reception ( Isaak?..) informing us that breakfast could be enjoyed until 11 am every morning instead of 10am, which was very much appreciated! He also told us about the lovely wievpoint we could visit to watch the sunset in the evenings, this is within walking distance from the hotel and one not to be missed ! The younger members of our family were then also informed about some music venues going on in the area that we were not aware of. This meant that they could out of chance get to see one of their favourite bands. For this they are eternally greatful. Thank you for your personal approach, it made our holiday extra special. We also really enjoyed the breakfast.

There is not much storage space in the bathroom., but the makeup mirrors are brilliant. A bit of a walk in to the old town, but the tube station is really close by. You can use the Katarina elevator ( hiss ) if walking in to town as a extra feture during your the walk.

We booked a 4-night stay at the Hellstens Glashus hotel, and it was ideal for a short city break. Great location opposite the underground train station, surrounded by lovely bars and restaurants, and less than 10 minutes walk from the best sunset viewing point over Stockholm. The breakfast selection was lovely, with free tea and coffee available in reception for guests and a cosy bar downstairs if you don’t want to venture too far for a drink. The room was small but cosy, clean and warm (which is essential in February!), and the area was very quiet. The reception staff were also very friendly and gave us a lot of advice on the underground train network and good places to eat. Would definitely recommend staying here for your next visit to Stockholm.

We had an absolutely wonderful stay at Hellstens Glashus Hotel! From the moment we arrived we were greeted by friendly and accommodating staff who made us feel right at home. Special thanks to Isaac, Jonathan and Veronica at the reception. They were exceptionally helpful and insured that our check in process was smooth and efficient. Their warm hospitality and attentiveness made our experience even more enjoyable.We also had the pleasure of visiting the hotel bar were Bashar provided fantastic service. He was not only professional but also really made the atmosphere at the bar inviting and relaxed. The drinks were great and his friendly demeanor added ti the overall experience. the hotel itself is charming, comfortable and located in a convenient spot. I highly recommend this hotel for anyone who visiting the area and will definitely will be returning.

Everything was perfect

Quirky and eccentric boutique hotel in a great location of Stockholm Södermalm. Good size room (double superior) with a lovely high ceiling (4 metres) and a beautiful big balcony, huge window grids from floor to ceiling welcoming lots of natural light. Very quiet and peaceful, overlooking the back yard. You will get a great rest here, the bed is so comfy. Nice bathroom, power shower. Spotless clean. Temperature was perfect, an extra heater unit was in the room, most appreciated as it was freezing cold and -7 Celsius outside. Friendly and welcoming staff. Be sure to have a drink in the bar/restaurant/lobby; the setting is unique, and the flooring is very different, so cool, there are comfy chairs & sofas to sit in, and lots of candles, I loved it! The metro station is only 1 minute walk away. Loved the location. Tea & coffee aren’t in the room, but it’s available 24/7 in the lobby. If Hellstens Glashus is available on your dates; book it, don’t hesitate! This is a hidden gem in Stockholm! Perfect stay for a solo traveller!

A kettle would be nice:)

The location is amazing and the staff are wonderful. They had a great selection of food for breakfast. The hotel is simple and very effective for a short city break. The staff were also friendly and quick to reply about any questions.

The rooms are missing some minor details that would make this hotel amazing. There was no storage to put our clothes. So we had to keep our clothes in our suitcase or on a stool and this made it feel very messy. Also in the bathroom there is not a lot of space to store our toiletries. If they had 2 shelves or a small wardrobe it would have been much more comfortable. Also there is no tea and coffee in the room. They had free tea and coffee in the lobby but most hotels have it in the room and I did miss this. Just minor details but it would have made it more comfortable for our 5 day stay.

I have been here at least 15 times. The hotel is always quiet, cosy and comfortable, and breakfast is excellent. The beds are very comfortable. The location is excellent for my personal needs and the hotel is right opposite the metro station.

The bathrooms are a bit small, especially for 2 people, but adequate. Like most hotels in Stockholm ( in my experience), there is no wardrobe, just a few hangers near the door. The rooms are normally too hot for my liking and I have to sleep with the windows open, even in winter, which can be a problem if the room looks onto the street, as there is inevitable noise, especially at the weekends, when the bar across the road is busy.

This was an interesting characterful property with very pleasant and helpful staff. The breakfast was great and the room was comfortable. The hotel was very conveniently situated close to the metro, and was in a pleasant area with a great variety of eating places, bakeries etc. Thank you Isaac on reception for your excellent restaurant recommendation.

Nothing negative to say

From the first moment we arrived the staff were very friendly. The room was clean, excellent and tastefully decorated. The bathroom was a good size. The metro station was so close and it's a straight line through to the central station. There are lots of shops, bars and restaurants around this area too. Walking to the main attractions is possible if you are feeling active, and you get great views crossing the bridge over to the old town. The hotel has a bar and restaurant. We didn't use it but breakfast was superb!

Some storage space would be helpful. There was no wardrobe or drawer space but there are hangers on what appeared to be a coat stand. The bathroom floor got very wet as the shower screen was very small so we needed to put towels on the floor but by no means did any of this spoil our stay. It got quite noisy around the area on the weekend as the weather was good but with the windows closed there was no noise.

The hotel was very easy to find an get back to after a day of exploring Stockholm, but it did take ~40min of walking from the train station to get there. The area around the hotel felt really safe, even around 23:00 o'clock - can't say anything about late at night as I never went out at that time.

The main criticisms I have are 1) Stockholm is huge, so everything outside of the neighborhood is going to take a while to get too (such as the Vasa museum, most restaurants, etc.) and 2) the view from my window wasn't great, just the neighboring building.
