The property is perfect for exploring the city. It is within walking distance (under 1hr) of basically everything and is well connected to public transport - the airport is within 35 mins if you take the Arlanda Express. The local area is packed with places to eat, drink and feels very Swedish as it is away from the main tourist area. It’s homely, comfortable and has great staff. Breakfast is simple but filling. No complaints on facilities. Even the shared bathrooms were clean!

My one complaint would be during my stay (Thurs-Sun) there was a fair bit of noise from the karaoke bar below until 2-3am. It did not affect my sleep but it was definitely noticeable just to flag for light sleepers or those not staying for leisure.

Their breakfast was amazing, and it was always possible to take a drink at whatever time. The location was sublime and the friendliness of the staff was impeccable.

The only thing I did not like was that there was no bathroom in the room itself, even tough the shared bathroom was very clean and nice.

I had a wonderful stay at Hotel Hornsgatan in Stockholm! From the moment I arrived, the staff made me feel incredibly welcome. They were not only warm and friendly, but also gave excellent tips for discovering the city—thanks to them, I experienced some true local gems I wouldn’t have found otherwise. The breakfast was delicious and a perfect start to each day. I especially appreciated the thoughtful touches like the complimentary cakes, juices, and tea available throughout the day—it made the atmosphere feel cozy and homelike. Hotel Hornsgatan is a place I would happily return to anytime, and I highly recommend it to anyone visiting Stockholm!

It is located near one of the metro station in a lively area. There are many restaurants and bars around. The room was smaller than I thought. I thought the room had a long sofa or chair on the side. The breakfast room was always open and offered cereals, drinks, milk, yoghurt, and crackers. Once I came back too late and missed dinner. The snack in the room saved me. The staff is very nice. The interior looked traditional Swedish. It was a nice place to experience.

There is a karaoke bar below Room 20 (mine). In the first night, I heard people singing karaoke until 3 am. In the following morning, the receptionist told me that the karaoke night is only on Tuesdays. However, it was every night (quieter on Wednesday). I thought I should join in my pajamas. The breakfast is quite simple. There was no warm food. I really liked the cereals, though. The glass walls of the shower closet leaked water all over the shower room. I was scared that I might slip and hit my head on the toilet. Be careful!

Fantastic value, wonderfully quirky hotel in a fantastic location. Owners were very friendly and couldn’t help enough. Breakfast was plentiful and the free drinks and cakes through the day is such a nice touch. I was a little concerned about a hotel with a shared bathroom but needn’t have been. Everything was spotless, there were always several facilities available and all other guests were courteous. An absolute bargain in Stockholm.

Only complaint was my room was right above the entrance to the bar below and some drunk people were congregated outside the door talking loudly and shouting well into the morning. The bar usually shuts early, but as this was Midsommar week they were clearly out drinking past 2am. Doubt it would be an issue 360+ days of the year!

During my recent trip to Stockholm, I had the pleasure of staying at Hotel Hornsgatan and I must say, it was a delightful experience. The hotel was immaculately clean and well-maintained. The staff were friendly, accommodating, and went out of their way to make me feel welcome. One of the best aspects of this hotel is the exceptional value for money. Additionally, the hotel's location was superb, offering easy access to public transportation and close proximity to various attractions and dining options. I would highly recommend Hotel Hornsgatan especially to solo travellers like me and to anyone looking for a comfortable and affordable stay in Stockholm. The combination of cleanliness, friendly staff, great value, and ideal location made for an all-around excellent experience. I would definitely choose to stay at this hotel again in the future.

The breakfast options could have been better.

The room was clean and spacious, shared bathrooms were always clean and I never had to queue for it. Staff were really friendly and helpful, gave me tips on where to go and what to see around the area. Coffee, tea and refreshments were available all day, I loved that there was fruit! Overall, great value for money.

It was a little noisy outside and the window was facing the main street which made want to keep the window closed at night but you can expect that in any city hotel I guess.

I really liked the area, it was cozy and quiet with plenty boutique art and jewelry shops. The building itself is interesting, it has a small inner yard. The room was comfortable and well arranged. Breakfast was sufficient, including different types of breakfast cereal. The place can be easily reached by public transportation, but if you are ready for pleasant picturesque walk, the central station can be reached on foot in 30 minutes. I would definitely stay there again if I have a chance.

Not a problem, but just a “need to know” – the reception works until 22:00 (10 PM). Your arrival can be arranged after 22:00, you just need to contact the hotel in advance.

I chose to have a room without bathroom, the room was spacious, clean and beautifully decorated with a large window, the shared bathroom was very clean. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. The breakfast was very good, and the sunny breakfast room could be used during the day for sitting to eat my own meal or having a coffee and cake which was there for guests. I had to leave early one morning and a very good takeaway bagged breakfast was there for me in the fridge when I left. I enjoyed staying in the area and walked most places, but public transport is nearby. The price was very reasonable too and I loved my two stays.

The staff is extremely nice and very helpful. We informed the hotel in advance about our early arrival, and there were absolutely no problems with early check-in as our room was already prepared. The breakfast is really good, and pastries and fruits are available for guests throughout the day. We had an early flight the last day and were absolutely happy to find breakfast packed for us in the fridge. Although the bathrooms are shared, they were always clean. Our room looked nice, old-fashioned but in a good way, with old paintings on the walls (a creepy 19th century lady stared at us at night, but we were good with it :) The location is also quite convenient. There is a subway station around the corner, and it takes around 20 min to get to the old town on foot.

The mattresses are a bit too soft.
