We booked three rooms, and the hotel staff was very attentive to our requests — two of the rooms were placed next to each other, and the third had a view, just as we asked. Thank you for that! The location is excellent — just a 10-minute walk to Gamla Stan and very close to public transport.. Breakfast was rich and varied, offering plenty of options for everyone. We had a lovely stay and would definitely recommend this hotel!

The standard double room is quite small, and room cleaning is only upon request (otherwise, only the trash is taken out).

Our recent stay at Scandic Sjöfartshotellet in Stockholm, Sweden was a delightful experience. We were grateful for the hotel's easy accessibility by public transport and enjoyed the views of the water and Gröna Lund's Amusement Park from our window. The friendly staff and delicious breakfast made our visit feel welcoming and comfortable. We also appreciated the underground parking, although it required reservation in advance. Overall, we highly recommend Scandic Sjöfartshotellet for anyone looking for a memorable stay in Stockholm!

Personally I love this hotel. It is in an excellent location. While some of the other Scandic hotels are grander, this one is excellent value for money. The rooms are small but clean and super comfy. The staff are professional and lovely. The breakfast is outstanding. It is quiet but if you want to be in Sodermalm you can't beat this location. It is close to the Slussen transport hub, with buses all over the city and two metro stops from the station, a short walk to Sodermalm main street shops and bars and just across the bridge to Gamla Stan. Close to the Slussen boat stop to city stops and to Vaxholm.

My family and myself loved our five night stay here. The location is ideal, very close to Slussen station for metro, bus and boat connections, and a brief walk to Gamla Stan (Old Town). Our room was well sized (for three of us) and very comfortable. The breakfast was of a high standard and offered a decent selection. The staff were polite and friendly. The view from the rooftop bar is a bonus. I would definitely stay here again in the future.

Breakfast time was occasionally busy, depending on which time slot you pre-booked each morning. Nothing major but there was an occasional family having to wait for a table to become available.

The location very close to the metro and had a bus stop outside. Easy walk to Gamla Stan over the bridge. Very clean and the staff were very friendly. The breakfast had lots of choice and was delicious. Would definitely stay here again.

The room didn’t have a wardrobe just some hooks and clothes hangers. This was ok for me as I was a solo traveler. Appreciated the luggage storage after I checked out but when I went to collect it I had to climb over other bags as it was full.

We had a roof-top room with a balcony and sea-view, which was just beautiful. The room was ample for our needs, which had to fit all our motorbike luggage and riding gear. Roof-top bar was great and staff were very friendly and helpful with suggestions. Breakfast was excellent and plentiful. You had to book your time slot, though this was not heavily enforced. Parking was expensive, but glad to have it available as parking in the area is limited. Convenient to walk to Old Town and any public transport.

Being on the highest level without air conditioning, the room got quite hot with no ventilation if you didn’t have the window open and it wasn’t even the peak of Summer. Noisy if you did. The bed was average, but pillows lacked any substance. Little to no bench space in bathroom. They did not clean our room when request had been made at check-in. Towels were provided from Reception when notified, though.

Breakfast was delicious. It was the same everyday but we didn't mind because it was a good selection. Our kids loved our room because there's a bunk bed. Location is walking distance to Gamla Stan, train station, and the port. We also used the gym every morning, which was icing on the cake. Overall, we would book and stay here again when we're in Stockholm.

We had to book the breakfast time slot, not much of a hassle really but I just hope we can eat whenever we want to without waiting for our slot. Overall, not a trouble. We either ate at 7am or 8am.

Breakfast was wonderful, view from our room and rooftop bar was spectacular. Prices were fair, sauna was fabulous. No complaints! We were able to walk everywhere or take metro. Really close to ferry and Gamalstan. Front desk was very helpful with maps and directions.

Coffee maker didn't have cappuccino option. Coffee was decent and milk options available but I love my cappuccino in the mornings.

First trip abroad for our 3 year old. Hotel was so lovely and easy to use. Breakfast was the best tbh and made our little boys day each day. So much choice and so healthy! Staff were super friendly and great with kids. Lots of space to sit and relax evening and stuff to buy should You need it. Room was good for a few days, could do with being a bit bigger for a family but other than that we had no complaints.

The breakfast was really good, you shouldn't forget to book a table though. the room was really spacious and clean, we were super happy with it even though it was a windowless room. the room is not underground btw,only that the hotel is up against a cliff (?) so on one side of the building, naturally, there re no windows.There were curtains on the wall to imitate a window with a led light, which was cute. it was chilly when we first got to the room but there was a temperature adjustable air con so the rest of the stay was warm and cozy. The metro is super close and Gamla Stan is within walking distance.

The air in the room was super dry bcs of the heater and a complimentary pair of slippers wouldn't be too shabby either. The area around the hotel is currently under construction (for the expansion of the metro station) and it was not nice to learn about it AFTER the booking that "there could be noises and shakes". Thankfully we didnt have any of that during our stay.
