To begin with, there was some confusion regarding our room. It turned out that the one we had actually booked had been allocated (for reasons that were understandable, and which were carefully explained to us) to other guests, and we were therefore offered an upgrade. Unfortunately, the lovely room in the old mansion that we were given instead did not have air-conditioning (unlike the room originally booked). In view of the heat wave, we could therefore not accept it. One of the hotel's managers, Ms. Tanja Schneider, therefore scrambled to find a solution and finally set up for us an enormous, air-conditioned "Pavilion" suite, with its own verandah and terrace, and an idyllic view of the stream. We were offered complimentary drinks in the charming garden of the mansion while we waited, and treated with great courtesy. The professionalism of Ms. Schneider and her colleagues therefore turned a potentially embarrassing situation for the hotel into a public relations success.

The initial complications were the consequence of decisions that had been made with the best possible intentions, and all was well that ended well, thanks to the staff's efforts and efficiency.

Definitely a five star stay- comfortable rooms, great bar with a terrace to enjoy summer evenings, friendly and attentive service. Quite enjoyed the wellness centre with a properly hot Finnish sauna, warm and cold showers. Special compliments to the chef for excellent dinner in a hotel restaurant.

Two minor observations to the hotel management: temperature in a steam room was a little low when you’re seated. By contrast, the zimmer itself was a little hot and we couldn’t open the second small window as it didn’t have a mosquito net.

We loved the design of the hotel, the amenities in the SPA as well as the delicious food for dinner and breakfast. I particularly appreciated that all ingredients are locally sourced. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The location was close to beautiful nature spots that are worth a visit.

I would have liked some music on the background in the restaurant as well as some warmer and slightly darker lightning to make the atmosphere more cozy.

The location and park is fantastic! Nice breakfast with good variety of food. Spa is great as well!

You need to go outside to get to the spa (but it is minor walk, you can live with that), however kids are not allowed- which was upsetting for teens. Room cleaning start really early, especially if you like to enjoy long weekend sleeps, and sound isolation is not there.

Hotel was a standout on our six-week European road trip. Exceptional hygiene, incredibly friendly staff, and outstanding food-locally sourced breakfast and dinner were phenomenal. A delightful find by chance, perfect for our family of four, with great reception and top-notch management. We'll definitely return! Anything

Very friendly and welcoming staff. Very clean and healthy environment. Connected to the natural environment and peaceful nature. An excellent location and a great stay for family and couples. Very limited options and limited availability for extended stay. Try to make sure to reserve early because it is hard to extend your stay.

Excellent breakfast. Very nice interior, I especially liked the library. Nice yard. I also enjoyed the wellness area. The gym is small but has high quality Technogym equipment.

There is nothing in this hotel I didn't like. There is not much going on in Konolfingen. But the hotel is well located for hiking/biking in Emmental or for a visit of Bern or Thun.

Very nice Hotel, a good mix between history and a modern facility. Nice spa (for free!), the dinner had at the retsaurant has been excellent, whorthy of Michelin's stars. The personnel has been very kind and helpful

The hotel garden was wonderful

The hotel area lacks of services and most of the shops close very early. Make sure you have everything you need before sunset.

The location was excellent, beautiful and serene. Well kept garden and lots of places to explore within the vicinity.
