One one of the most beautiful hotel views I’ve seen. Access to the lake with multiple seating options , easy access to other areas of lake and Lucerne via free bus service from the hotel.

Thought it’s beautiful and grand , the way the hotel is run is more like a bed and breakfast. Some staff are very helpful while others are not as enthusiastic , especially at the breakfast. The entire hotel to me smells like dust and I feel like coughing whenever I enter the hotel. It’s either dusty or something with the material they’re using is triggering that. They also charge you 5 Swiss francs if you order it lol services, that is insane to me , I have never seen a hotel charge you extra for delivering food to the room. Even the room service is very minimal and hands off, if you don’t request them to clean they will barely do much.

No enough complementary water, No Iron and No privacy in the bathroom but they bring mobile partition BUT the most important notice is that when I checked in they insist to have a deposit of 549CHF as a guarantee for any extra and it’s refundable if not used and when I checked out they refund only 500 CHF and they said the 49 CHF is a government tax which they don’t told me from the beginning at the time of checked in and told them my notice that they should be clear with the client Moreover When they sent my bill I couldn’t see the 49 CHF as apart from the Tax list despite the staff was nice but the ambiguity is there.

Overall one of the best and easiest hotel experiences. As soon as we checked in we were upgraded to a different room then midway through our stay we asked to be transferred to a different room with a bathtub and without hesitation the staff easily helped us switch rooms. Both of the rooms we stayed were very clean and everything worked perfect. But the rooms were cold but when asked was provided another heater for the room.(we stayed in December) We enjoyed the bus ticket we received upon checking in to use all the busses for free during our stay. The staff took the time to explain exactly how the bus system worked resulted in us not getting lost once. We also revived a discount at the Pilatus lift. The pool table is something we haven’t had in a hotel before. Before we went to the pool hall we ordered drinks at the bar and the bartender brought them straight to us at the pool table. We also eat at the restaurant once and to our surprise it wasn’t that expensive. A very simple menu but executed perfectly. Parking was easy as the hotel has its own parking area but expensive. This could be something included with the price of a room.

Cold room but fixed with portable heater. Parking was pricey. This last one isn’t the hotels fault but it was foggy the entire time we were there and couldn’t even see across the lake. Sadly making our room with a view pointless for the extra money.

The view was unbeatable and the room was very comfortable. The staff were helpful and friendly. We liked that it was just a short bus ride into town with the stop right outside the hotel which made it very convenient. There is also a water taxi (but larger) that you can take into town. We did that one evening and really enjoyed the views. We enjoyed the complimentary water activities such as paddle boarding, kayaking and pedal boating. We spent a lot of time swimming in the lake too. There isn’t really a beach so the inner tubes they provided made it easy to hop in and float around. I did not have a chance to use the spa so I can’t speak to that. The food is expensive but that is true of every place in Lucerne and Switzerland in general. We would definitely stay here again.

It would have been nice to have a small on-site shop for things like sunscreen but the ride to town was quick and easy.

The room offered a stunning view of the lake and mountains. Although the location was a bit far from the city center, the convenience of having a bus station right in front of the hotel made it easy to get around. The breakfast was excellent, and the staff working during breakfast hours were incredibly friendly and accommodating. The bar and bartenders were also exceptional. Additionally, there was a delightful Christmas event during our weekend stay, which added to the overall enjoyment of our visit. It's worth noting that Mrs. Mar, the hotel manager, was highly professional and efficient, ensuring that our stay was smooth and enjoyable throughout.

Unfortunately, we encountered some difficulties with the reception staff when seeking assistance with our two-year-old son's food. While some staff members were helpful, overall, we found the level of support in this area to be lacking. We believe that the hotel could benefit from improving their reception staff's ability to handle such concerns, especially when it comes to accommodating the needs of young children.

We liked the ambience and decor of the lounge, restaurants, bar, rooms and the billiards room. The view from our room was outstanding ! We also liked the hospitality and courteousness of all the staff ! Food at the beach club restaurant and pub was delicious although being Asian ( Indians ) the menu was a bit restrictive as it would have been nicer to have more dishes with chicken . Nevertheless we enjoyed the fondue, breakfast buffet and most of the Ala cartel’ menu that we had at the restaurants and pub.

Menu options were a bit restrictive for us as we don’t eat pork and beef in main course and prefer poultry ( chicken ) for which there weren’t many options ! About the room, we found the mattresses to be uncomfortable and all of us got body ache.

The resort itself is lovely, really spacious and comfortable rooms. Staff very helpful, polite and kind and modern and tasteful amenities. Really good to get travel passes for the duration of the stay and great regular bus connections outside the hotel. Nice spa and lounge areas with incredible views!

As we stayed in winter it seemed advertised activities such as bike hire wasn't available which was ashame, based on that the cost is still high but I think is indicative of the country/area in high costs.

It should have their own shuttle service for clients that check in and out . It’s most inconvenient to lag your bags from the hotel to the bus stop then again to the train station

We had an exceptional stay at Hermitage. The location on the lake, looking out and seeing Pilatus, is superb. The rooms are large, modern and very comfortable, and the common areas (especially the bar area) were a great place for us to relax. There is a bus stop right out the front of the hotel to get you into Lucerne within 15mins, plus on-site parking. Our experience with the staff really made this stay for us though - there were friendly, attentive and we felt very well looked after! We would very happily stay here again!

Beautiful location, lovely big rooms and very clean and comfortable. The staff in the bar lounge area were fantastic. Very friendly and polite and great service.

We booked a garden view standard room and two lake view deluxe rooms for our stay with our family. The only difference was what floor the rooms were on, (exactly the same view)and the bathroom in the deluxe room was for a disabled person. When we asked for a room with an ordinary bathroom we were told they didn’t have any available. The reception staff were rude and unhelpful.
