Loved our stay here!! Everyone was very kind and helpful. The rooms were simple and sensible (eg, a desk for each person) but with everything we could want/need. Incredibly clean! The rooms sit on top of a top tier culinary school, which explains a lot of the way things work at the hotel. The bus stop was right by the hotel and comes every ~15 minutes. Stay included free public transport in zone 10 which is basically all of Lucerne, so travel was super easy.(and free!). Every night we'd walk home from downtown Lucerne down by the lake to the hotel and it was just magical! Would recommend this place to anyone since very economical and totally delightful!

We were there during a heat wave in July, so it was a little warm without AC. They provided a fan, though, so nbd.

Location is perfect. There is a beautiful beach which right in front of hotel. Location wise it has very good connectivity to luzern train station.

After 5:00 in the evening you can't use the elevator I don't know what is the logic behind it. Staff asked us to use stairs. No one will be present after five o'clock. In our case it was was not an issue, only couple. But it may be challenging for those who are older or those who have babies. Hotels for service breakfast but that's paid breakfast. Breakfast cost for person is 19 Frank/person.

It was clean and ready when we got there. The bus stop was just out front and took you to the center of the city. They gave us a bus pass when we checked in to the room. Across the street was a beautiful and peaceful park to sit and relax.

The front closed early and you had to go around the side to get back in. No one was at the desk after a certain time.

The hotel is like 5 minutes away from the city center by bus and the bus stop is just a few steps from the hotel. It is infront of the lake, there are food & bars that is open until midnight. The hotel is simple, they have electric fan that you can use when the weather is hot. It is also nice that they have parking which they charge at a reasonable price so you can leave your car and take the bus to go to the city.

The bed is not comfortable.

No amenities like a microwave, refrigerator, etc for food. The hotel was nice to provide heated water from restaurant for tea etc. at not charge

The staff are excellent and always very helpful and friendly. I didn't try the breakfast on this visit, but in the past it has been varied and excellent. The room is basic, but very clean and the bed extremely comfortable. The hotel is situated on the opposite side of the main road that goes along the lake. It is within flat comfortable walking distance of the centre of Luzern. There is also a bus service (24) that passes by the hotel if you don't want to walk. A ticket for Zone 1 is provided by the hotel.

For me there was no negative point - unless of course people are looking for a restaurant for an evening meal. The restaurant closes at 5pm.

The hotel is an excellent hotel. It is great value for money with good comfortable basic facilities. This time I didn't eat in the restaurant, but I know that the experience is will worth while. Many people go there just for Sunday brunch. It is within walking distanace of the lake and to the centre of Luzern. If one isn't able to walk that far, the tram stops just outside the hotel and is included in the city 'guestcard'.

With a location right on Lake Luzern, with magnificent mountains greeting you every morning, you cannot go wrong. Although a bit outside town, there is a free bus every 15 mins, and you can also take a pleasant 45 min walk to town along the lakeshore. The Museum of Transportation (a must-see) is less than 10 mins walk from the hotel, and you can catch the boat to Mt. Rigi from the Lido dock nearby. The hotel doubles as a culinary/bakery school and you can sample a wide variety of delicious, freshly-baked breads, cheeses and home-made jams every morning, for 20 CHF. Lastly, the price we paid was very reasonable.

The rooms are probably meant to accommodate students in the school, so they have a bit of a dormitory feel to them: small and sparingly equipped. There is no coffee machine or water pot in the room and coffee in the restaurant is not free. Being Switzerland there is no AC, and during our July visit it felt a bit stuffy at night, although the provided electric fan helped. Some investment in better mattresses, pillows, sheets and towels would make the rooms look and feel much better. Lastly, the school administrator seemed to double as the hotel receptionist and, while very friendly, was not as accessible to guests as one may have liked.

Even if the hotel is a bit outside of Lucerne there is a system of bus offer for guests staying in hotels recognized by the city. So that we could go downtown very easily (bus is stopping very close to the hotel). For some rooms the view can be amazing!

It’s not the most charming hotel but very comfortable and convenient
