We love the location, our room, the food except the church bells, it's loud. Special mention to Igor Simie and Medy. They're very helpful, kind, friendly, and very accommodating. They both exceeded our expectations. Thank you very much!!

We checked out on September 26, 2024 at around 6:15 a.m. to catch our early flight. I asked nicely the staff (woman) on duty if we can have a cup of coffee and one croissant each for our breakfast. She said NO because breakfast opens at 7:30 and that she's very busy and alone at that time. She was very nasty. She turned around and went inside the kitchen. How long will it take her to provide what I'm requesting for? She was very unprofessional. We were very disappointed with her attitude. Our breakfast that morning was already paid, included with the total bill paid.

The location was wonderful: close to the old town but tucked away near a quiet plaza. The valet service was nice and the parking charge (SF28). The room was clean and spacious and well appointed. The breakfasts were spectacular but -- like most of the breakfasts in most European hotels -- very expensive (SF21/person). I would definitely recommend this hotel AND would grab a coffee and pastry at any one of the many patisseries nearby.

The only surprise was the cost of the attached restaurant. My wife and I had traditional and simple Swiss dishes -- no appetizers or desserts -- and two glasses of wine. The bill was SF170 (USD$185). While Switzerland is more expensive that many countries, this seemed excessive. (Why didn't we eat elsewhere? We didn't know the prices when we accepted the hotel's offer to book a reservation for the day we arrived.) I'm not complaining as I readily paid the price AND the food was delicious, I'm simply giving others a heads up.

Wonderful individual hotel in a great location to explore Lucerne. Friendly attentive staff and the quickest check-in and check-out procedures! Good choice of items for breakfast including gluten free bread. We visited because we were going to a concert and the amazing KKL centre was within a few minutes walk. Booking the hotel room also provided us with a code for local public transport and discount to some museums. Unlike many places we have visited, the staff followed the hotel instructions about changing the towels (so many ignore my request to leave the towels when hardly used). The bathroom was quirky and individual which was very nice and still equipped with all expected facilities. The bed was very comfortable and a kettle was provided in the room. The restaurant was very good and had local food and drink options.

It was not a problem for us, but if you have mobility issues I recommend talking to reception before booking as part of the property is very old.

When you arrive by car you need to get an access code for the car park which is just down the street. Parking to pick up the pass is on a pedestrianised area,so not easy. Our room had a view over the lake, which was very nice, The hotel is very old, so if your expecting a swish modern hotel, you are going to disappointed. Its a lovely building but it does creak quite a bit. There are elevators but we did not use them.

The occupants in the room above ours liked to walk around alot at night, The floors are creaky and the noise kept us awake for a few hours. Reception only opens at 8.00am, If you need to check out out early it could be a problem.

The hotel offers a delightful stay in the heart of the city. The location is excellent, allowing easy access to many of Lucerne’s main attractions. The room we stayed in, located in the attic, was exceptionally bright and featured a spacious terrace—perfect for relaxing. The bed was large and incredibly comfortable, and the bathroom was spacious and also uniquely decorated. The breakfast buffet was generous, with a wide selection of high-quality products. We also had the chance to dine at the hotel’s restaurant, which served excellent food and had a conveniently long kitchen service schedule.

However, being housed in a historic building, the hotel has some limitations in terms of accessibility, which may pose challenges for guests with reduced mobility or heavy luggage. The parking facility is located about a hundred meters from the hotel, making the check-in and checkout process slightly less convenient, especially in bad weather. Additionally, while the attic room was wonderfully bright during the day, the horizontal blinds did not fully block out the light at night, which could be an issue for light-sensitive sleepers.

Great location, a 10 minute walk from the station and close to the lake. Friendly staff, lovely outside area to drink and eat out. Our room was in the historic part of the hotel so full of character and charming, wooden floors meant that you could here people walking around on the floor above, but this didn’t bother us. A stand alone /c unit and a fan kept us cool at night. We ate here one evening and the food was delicious. An excellent breakfast that included scrambled/fried eggs and bacon. Would definitely stay here again, diolch yn fawr!

Absolutely delightful experience. Staff was incredible friendly, polite and welcoming. The location was perfect, across street from lake luzern, walking distance to local attractions, 2 mins walk to bus stops and 10 mins walk to Luzern main train, bus station and ferry terminal. Our room was clean, small but manageable for 2 people with 2 luggages. Love the high water pressure shower and comfortable bed. Room was nice, clean and quiet considering located next to Hofkirche St. Leodegar church and their own restaurant on the ground floor.

We stayed in an apartment next to the hotel as this gave the three of us more flexibility. The apartment itself was spacious and well equipped with lake views and small balcony. Great location with buses, shops and tourist options very nearby. Lucerne is a large, noisy city but the apartment had double glazing which was appreciated.

We had to ask for an adapter to make the kettle work. No plugs in kitchen sink or bathroom basin. Only 1 bedroom had any storage. Functional rather than charming but served its purpose.

Location was amazing (right next to the Luzernerhof bus station, the waterfront, a beautiful church and a few cafes) and it was the cutest hotel! We loved how historical it felt and how the room was decorated, which looked out over the street. The amenities were also just what we needed — a comfy bed, good areas to store luggage, and it never felt too hot or too cold! We also loved the free apples they offered at the front — a perfect small snack to take on our adventures around Luzern.

This isn’t the hotel’s fault, but floors were pretty creaky and sound travelled, so every time the guests above us walked around or talked loudly we could hear it. I had earplugs so I was able to sleep despite it, but my friend had trouble sleeping.

The Hotel Rebstock is a hidden gem tucked sideways off the main promenade at Lucerne, literally 10 minutes' walk from the Central Station. Though the exterior is very old (15th C), all the facilities inside were tip-top and everything one would expect: spacious room, huge super-comfy bed, wonderful bath, and all the usual things. Breakfast was served from a continental buffet and was quite simply superb of its type with freshly baked breads and rolls. If you wanted fried eggs and bacon, you could get it! Excellent coffee - as standard! Probably the best 'continental breakfast' I've had. We dined in the hotel restaurant one night: traditional Swiss menu and local wine. The service from the receptionist was first-class: she was exceptionally helpful in sorting out a USB charger. Excellence is normal here.

Just bear in mind that prices in Switzerland are high. (But if you think Lucerne is pricey, Zurich is insane!) Once over that hurdle, forget about it and enjoy!
