Location. Was close to all tourist attractions. Self check in was smooth and uneventful. Room was clean and beds comfortable however would have liked an additional pillow. Shopping facilities next door and good selection of cafe's and restaurants. Good, sound accommodation option for a brief stay in Lucerne. Good breakfast offered if you nominate to include at neighbouring (sister) hotel.

Traffic noise however we chose to leave the window open for fresh air.

Easy Checkin process and best part was the bus station which was right at the exit of the building and also very close to the main Lucerne train and ferry station. Coop was hardly 100m distance and there were so many bakery shops and restaurabts right in front of the property. Rooms was good and spacious. Though there was noone at the reception because it's a Self checkin hotel but process was really simple. During our 3 day stay, rooms were cleaned daily and towels were replaced. We booked without breakfast but Coffee and tea was complimentary at their 2nd floor cafeteria. There was oven to heat up the food at 2nd floor restaurant. We arrived early and luggage was stored at Hotel prix right next to the apartment without any additional cost.

Everything was great! Self checkin was seamless. Great location (5 mins bus ride from train station). 1 minute from lion monument. Rooms were spacious and clean. The towels were replaced everyday (which is rare nowadays). The room service was super fast. Many people have mentioned in the review that hotel does not have an AC. We were at the hotel when the temp touched 25-30 degrees. Just switch on the table fan given by hotel. The room would cool down in 10 mins.

Pillows. I don’t know what they were but they were not pillows :) . I would humbly request the hotel to replace the pillows with proper ones as many people have complained about it. We are not too fussy about it so I have rated 10 despite that.

Hotel just as mentioned in the booking website. Self check in was simple and convenient. Centrally located, close to all tourist sites, Lucerne being a small place. No AC, although weather in August was comfortable enough to not need one. Clean and big room.( We had booked a triple room for a family of 3).

Entrance to the hotel not very well marked. It is on the main road but visitors can miss it the first time as Google maps shows a rear entrance. Self check might be inconvenient for someone who is not used to dealing with zero staff; although they have an adjacent property with staff who could help.

Absolutely brilliant to have left luggage lockers so we could begin our exploration of Lucerne immediately instead of having to lug our bags around or wait until check in time.( returnable CH or 2 Euro coin needed ) Very, close and a short, easy walk to the station. Central to everything. Very helpful receptionists So nice to be able to get tea and coffee and cold water all free plus a microwave all day long in the breakfast room Would absolutely definitely return. Take your bathers, swimming in the lake is a beyond wonderful experience ❤️

The location was outstanding right on the edge of the Lucerne Old Town - the grocery store was right beside the hotel & a bus stop right in front of the hotel for easy access to the train station and old town. Check-in and check-out was very easy. Our room was really comfortable & clean - we loved our stay. The breakfast was outstanding and the hotel staff were friendly and really helpful. We would for sure stay at the Ambassador on our next trip to Lucerne.

The location is great -very close to the station and the lake. Our room was spacious, the bed was comfortable and the breakfast was very good. The room is quite basic - no kettle or tea bags in there but I asked at the reception of the sister hotel and they were happy to supply me with them. They also gave us an adaptor when we realisedthe one we had didn't fit.

I personally prefer to check in with a human, not a machine,, but I guess that's how they keep the price comparatively lower than some of the ludicrously expensive hotels in Lucerne. The room was very hot as there is no air conditioning. This didn't bother me too much but you should be aware if you need air con. .

It was very quiet and discreet, with a great breakfast and really polite staff that could speak different languages! The hotel has good security, strict access and an elevator. Having only a few rooms per level, it is quiet and discreet. It is located across the street from the lion sculpture. You have acces to supermakets and shopping areas in only a few meters and also to the main historical streets. It is located at 6 to 10 minutes walk from the bridges.

It is quite expensive, but so are all the prices in this country.

Location - excellent location, short walking distance (10 mins) to Lion Monument, Luzern main train / bus station, bus stop right in front of the hotel, good restaurants, COOP & Migros like just next door. Fairly large corner room, for 3 pax. Very polite and responsive staff

Poor location of electrical wall sockets - eg located under the TV counter, none at bed side tables. ( we had to plug in the electric kettle on the floor, next to the sofa bed)

They think so many things for us. For example, early check-in or late check-out luggage lockers are there. There is no receptionist but it was easy to complete check-in. The breakfast team was kind and helpful. Also, they send my visitors card as QR and give so many useful info with an e-mail.

It was a little bit hot. The bath tube was high and risky. The light was insufficent and the room was dark.
