We liked that the accommodations were as they appeared in photos. The location is outstanding and we were able to leave our bags before check in so we could walk around for a few hours without them. I thought the price was pretty good compared to other listings. I loved looking out our window into the square below. One day brides and grooms seemed to be celebrating their weddings all day one after another. Another day, there were people with a karaoke machine singing and being silly. There is a Brasserie below in the building but we did not eat there.

As far as short comings, there was a small elevator that brought us up almost to the top level 5 so it could be tricky for families with several kids or people who can navigate some stairs. We had to ask for extra toilet paper but I messaged through the booking.com app and someone brought it over right away.

Good location. Central to Luzern. Close to the river. A short walk to railway station and ferry. Rooms have different "themes" so makes it different and unique experience.

Directions from the station could be better. It tells you to cross the river and then turn left keeping the river to your left. Would suggest, don't cross the river, follow the road keeping the river on your right, walk past the old tourist attraction bridge, 20 meters further there is a footbridge across the river, cross the river, go up the steps immediately in front and the hotel is one your left. Much easier as smooth pavements and no cobbles to pull your suitcase over.

Convenient to walk around the city..and close to train station..

We did not realize that there was an elevator until the next day after we had lugged luggage up 7 flights of stairs...

Good location, near Chapel Bridge, Good value , clean.

The lobby is not at the hotel, you have to walk to check-in and check-out from another hotel, walk about 2 minutes. And with the hotel located in the old town area The floor on the way to the hotel is brick. It's very difficult to drag luggage.

The location was fantastic, nestled right in the heart of the city center and the charming old town. Positioned alongside the river and in close proximity to various restaurants, the Magic Hotel offered a prime spot for exploration. Although check-in took place at a separate building, conveniently located just 400 meters away, this was effectively communicated to us via email before our arrival. To our delight, we were upgraded to the honeymoon room – a spacious haven with breathtaking views of the river.

Decoration is old-fashioned, but the room was very clean and comfortable.

The room (Egyptian Room) is directly under the roof with magnificent views over the old town. It is decorated with cartoonish Egyptian paintings and has a TV that you can tilt around the corner to watch TV in bed. It has a mini bar and a coffee machine. The location couldn't be any better and, although the hotel is opposite the town hall clock-tower, it is quiet and we slept really well. This room as well as one other room are not accessible for guests with walking difficulties as the lift stops one level below so make sure you ask the question when you book. Check-in and check-out was easy, everyone is friendly and helpful. The breakfast is in the Altstadt Hotel Krone (a very short walk away) and has literally everything you can wish for (even gluten-free bread and decaf coffee). We used the valet parking service which worked fantastic.

Everything was fine.

We stayed in the honeymoon suite, that is huge and spotlessly clean. The view of the master bedroom was fabulous - that was the highlight of this hotel, as I thought). The location is unbeatable. Contrary to my expectation, the room was really quiet after about 10pm (we stayed in a weekday); it was also cool at night ( we needed not to use the electric fans even; given we live in a subtropical city); street sounds heard in morning but not disturbing (I am a light sleeper). This room accepted my teenage children (age 12 and 11). The annex building is installed with a lift.

Needed to check-in the main hotel. But it is close to the annex, (about 2-minute walk). There is no real kitchen in the apartment; but we didn't need one indeed.

Spacious room with a nice spa bath. We could open the windows for some fresh air. No aircon but fans provided.

It was a pain having to check in at a different hotel but we knew that we had to do that so can’t really complain. A lack of bath towels was rectified immediately upon contact. TV remote didn’t work and we couldn’t turn the tv off manually so we had to pull the plug from the wall. Not major issues but a bit of an annoyance.

No AC, could not open windows as an event was being setup in the court making lots of noise from 05:00. No reception and side pathway main entrance not well indicated.

The location was good, access was not acceptable with stairs to access elevator and more stairs to access room. Also reality if far from pictures posted of outside of hotel

Great location only minutes from the river and the Chapel Bridge. Good size room and bathroom. Beautifully hot shower! Easy check from the Krone Hotel around the corner.

These didn’t really affect us but others could find annoying. The TV although large doesn’t have an areal not sure what’s its use is? The pillows are very soft and not fussed on the 2 separate single quilts.
