We were given a room on the top floor that opened out into a huge terrace! With 2 tables & many chairs. The view was awesome! You could see the city & the mountains! It was a comfortable room with coffee & place to hang clothes. Very comfortable room. Great location to the old town, perfect & walkable up the train station.

It’s a very hot room since it’s at the top, fortunately we had a fan & we could open a window & the doors to the terrace. I would not recommend the breakfast, it’s overpriced & literally within feet outside hotel you can find wonderful breakfasts that is reasonably priced.

perfect location in the historic Old Town, surrounded by beautifully decorated buildings and charming alleys. It’s within walking distance from the train station, making it a convenient choice for travelers. Despite being in such a central area, the surroundings were quiet, allowing for a peaceful stay. The staff was friendly and helpful, always ready to assist with any requests. We also appreciated the visitor card provided by the hotel, which offered discounts and free bus rides. The room was always very clean, which is something we truly value.

Although the area itself was quiet, it was disappointing to be woken up early in the morning by housekeeping slamming doors. The Wi-Fi signal was weak, and there was no cable TV, which was a bit inconvenient. Additionally, the mattress and pillows were not comfortable, making it difficult to get a good night’s sleep. I also think guests would appreciate a kettle and some teabags in the room for added comfort.

The staff were very friendly - both the breakfast servers and front desk staff. We were in a time pinch one night and the staff was able to arrange a restaurant reservation for us that I’m sure alone would not have been possible. Hotel Krone was within walking distance of all our needs and sightseeing. We stayed several days in Lucern and took day trips via the trains to both Bern and Zurich. I appreciate the effort they took to have a different variety of breakfast items each day. Most enjoyable was the chocolate they offer guests at the front desk!

This is a wonderful hotel in a beautiful square in central Luzern. I got a very nice welcome and the staff were magnificent. Very friendly and helpful, they really couldn't have been nicer. The room I had was well equipped and had everything I needed. The view of the old town Weinmarkt square was breathtaking, with Mount Pilatus visible on clear days. Breakfast was delightful, in a beautiful room on the ground floor. I was sad to leave this hotel, they made my stay a real pleasure and I have great memories.

The only thing I would have preferred was a slightly firmer pillow, but that's just a preference and certainly not a complaint.

I stayed here with my 2 friends for 1 night in a triple room which was cosy, spacious and clean. We managed to walk around the room comfortably even with our 3 medium sized suitcases open. Centrally located right in the Old Town with many stores and restaurants nearby. Many attractions are reachable by foot. It is only 10mins walk away from the main train station which was very convenient specially if you have early trains to catch but it can take you 20minutes or more if you need to drag your suitcases. Staff was nice. This is my second time staying in this hotel and would definitely stay here again next time I visit Luzern.

The hotel is in the heart of the old town, close to the train and bus stations. There are extra and casual restaurants, shops and a Saturday market on the beach. Transport is easy and varied. Swiss Travel Pass is a good option for multi-day trips to Switzerland. The hotel staff is friendly and the breakfast selection is quite adequate (eggs, ham, salmon, yoghurt, muesli, fruit, coffee and pastries)

The hotel is in a nice area, the offer breakfast for 19chf, they have cleaning services and even a minibar. Beds are comfortable, good pair of towels, nice tv to entertain yourself. In the first floor they have a small living with computer you can use and a microwave. 👍 They "keep luggage" but it is left out at the hotel lobby so it's better if you just go to the train station and pay for a locker. Better pay than to be sorry later in case you lose something.

The hotel staff were amiable. I arrived earlier than the check-in time, but they were flexible with my check-in. When I asked about the coffee machine in the room, they provided me with an extra capsule. The space wasn't huge, but the layout was streamlined and relaxing. I could see the cityscape of Lucerne from the window. I felt that the hotel had considered travelers' feelings in the small details, such as the bedside lamp, USB jacks, power outlet placement, and the functional hairdryer. There was a space to leave my luggage after checking out, and there were security cameras so that I could leave my luggage with peace of mind. I would use this hotel again when staying in Lucerne.

Room was comfortable size. Reception staff were friendly. A 10-15 minute walk from the train station (depending on how many tour groups you have to navigate). Lots of restaurants close by, especially along the river.

Shower was small - you have to be careful not to accidentally hit the water control or to touch the pipework on the left hand side as it is very hot. Soft European pillows drive me to distraction - makes it so hard to sleep

I very much appreciated the early check-in. I only sent a message requesting the facility to store my luggage early...but they could and did let me enter my room an hour early. It was Room 50 on the 5th floor...with roof terrace...a surprise and absolutely wonderful...for me anyway. NB The lift only goes as far as the 4th floor. Thoroughly enjoyable hotel. Good breakfasts. To walk to this hotel from the station DO NOT CROSS ANY BRIDGE untill you are practically opposite the hotel and then enter the square from the left. This will minimise cobblestone drag on your suitcase. In fact I hardly noticed it. If you cross on the main highway you will suffer!! The streets of the old town are 80% cobbles. This short riverside walk to the hotel from the train station is glorious. You get to see many of the most alluring sights before even arrriving at the hotel.
