The hotel was recently renovated and it’s just perfect. The rooms are beautifully decorated and spacious. The location is great. There is everything you need a few feet away. It’s right were the old town begins. We were very impressed by the hotel. The staff was extremely helpful. I highly recommend this hotel.

A pretty small, but comfortable room. The host was very friendly and helped us with the check-in. The check-in is btw on your own - which is comfortable.

The hotel was in a great location. 10 minute walk from the train station, 5 minutes walk to the bridge to the Old Town. Rooms were generous in size and had a bit of a fun and funkiness to them. We enjoyed a beer and some snacks downstairs in the pub one night when we couldn't be bothered going out.

The self check in was a bit complicated and we kept getting an error despite following all the instructions. We were lucky in that we were arriving as the bar was opening and thankfully the very helpful Manager helped us resolve this. But not sure what we would have done if we were staying when the bar was closed

I recently had the pleasure of staying at the Hotel Goldener Stern in Lucerne, and I can wholeheartedly recommend it to anyone visiting this beautiful city. I especially appreciated the seamless check-in process, which was entirely contactless and incredibly convenient. The location is unbeatable, right in the heart of Lucerne, making it easy to explore the city's attractions, shops, and restaurants. The Stern Bar, located in the hotel, is a lively spot with a warm atmosphere, great drinks, and friendly staff – a perfect place to relax after a day of sightseeing. Overall, the Hotel Goldener Stern offers excellent value for money, with attentive service and a welcoming vibe. I will definitely return on my next trip to Lucerne!

Our room was spacious for 2 large suitcases, and the bed was comfortable. The self check-in process was simple, lots of info is provided and a free Luzern Visitor pass with loads of discounts. The location was very convenient, less than 5 minutes to the river and an abundance of nice restaurants. The free luggage storage on the 1st floor which you can access before check in time is a big bonus.

The space either side of the bed was only just enough to stand. The shower was fairly small- however the water pressure was good. The elevator is tiny, only big enough for 1 person and a suitcase, but thankfully it’s fast.

Room is a little bit small, contactless checked-in is not easy and need solid internet connection, this could be a problem for international travellers. There is no luggage drop area in hotel.

Light spirit and fun to discover the messages all Over the Room, Nice facilities and good level of cleaning, easy process to check-in/check-out well explained Over the emails received. Good space and very good localization. Good to have some discounts on the bar also with a good environment. And thanks for the ear buffets on the Room but i believe no One uses (didn't felt the need, even with a jazz concert on the street on front of the hotel!

The Bath soap was missing, don't know if it's related but when i arrived the door was unlocked (semi Open) any others things where missing.

Our stay at Goldener Stern was wonderful. The contactless app for the main door and room made coming in easy, since you don’t have to worry about a key. I suggest doing the online check in prior to arrival if you can. The location is fantastic, a short walk or bus ride from the train station and easy to walk to main attractions. The staff are very friendly and the rooms have everything you need. We were travelling with a baby ( 9 months) and the bed was big enough for three. They provide a Luzern visitor card which includes transport all around the city, which suited our needs perfectly.
