This hotel is absolutely superb! From the moment we arrived, we were greeted by the most wonderful lady (wished I remember her name) who made us feel so welcome and was very helpful. The breakfast was exquisite, offering a delicious variety of options to start the day perfectly. The interior design is truly original, with a unique and stylish touch that adds to the charm of the place. And the rooms? Just wow—spacious, comfortable, and beautifully decorated. We got an upgrade - we were on the sixth floor and though our windows were facing the street, we didn't hear anything during the night. We only wish we could have stayed longer! The location is also fantastic—just a short walk from both the train station and the old town, making it super convenient for exploring. One highlight of our trip was dining at a restaurant recommended by the hotel. We wanted to go out for dinner, and it didn’t disappoint—on the contrary, it turned out to be an unusual and memorable experience! Thank you for making our stay so special and giving us such wonderful memories. We only wish we could have stayed longer!

My memory - wish I remembered the names of the ladies who checked us in and out. Very professional, helpful and nice. They are an asset!

Welcoming staff, memorable and modern (yet cozy) atmosphere. Nice beds, great water pressure, robes in room. Breakfast was served in a quaint but spacious area. Location was central and an easy walk from the train station. But not so central that it was crawling with people. Great stay. Would recommend and return.

Room decor (pillows and blankets) could be refreshed or cleaned a bit more often. They were a bit dusty.

Me and my partner stayed here for 2 nights to celebrate his 30th birthday, and we absolutely loved staying at this hotel! We were upgraded to a bigger room with a fantastic view which was so appreciated. The breakfast was fabulous- fresh bread, pancakes, pastries, eggs. About a 7 minute walk from train station and only a short walk from Chapel Bridge and the main sights. All staff were SO friendly and helpful, which is not always the case at hotels. There is also a free photo booth on the ground floor, which was a great touch!

If I'm being picky, we didn't like the pillows in the room as they were very thin and deflated instantly. But this is very minor- I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone staying in Lucerne.

Boutique hotel with fun decor; very friendly front-desk staff; good breakfast; great location.

We hadn't realized the hotel had no AC, and the night we spent there was fairly warm, so it wasn't super-comfortable.

Breakfast was wonderful. Amazing shower. Soundproof room

No air conditioning. Only one towel. Bring a female with long hair a second towel to dry my hair off would have been nice

Great little hotel about 8-10 min walk from Lucerne's main train station and 5-min walk to the old town. We booked the junior family suite. Very spacious, plenty of room for a king bed and a sofabed that easily slept two, and still space to walk around. Large bathroom, lots of counter space, closet space, etc. so the four of us didn't feel like we were in each other's way. The hotel also has great common areas on each floor and downstairs. Breakfast was included. Staff was friendly and helpful, whether with maps or with additional requests (e.g. for a second fan in the room during a heat wave).

The breakfast buffet was very good. There was public parking very nearby that we were able to park our car. We just left it there since the train station was a 10 minute walk away and the ferry station too. Plenty of public buses run nearby too. We had no fridge in the room, but the staff put our wine bottle in their fridge and then when we were ready opened it for us.

The only negative was the fact that they had a staff locker room next to our room that had a window facing our balcony that would shine light into our room off and on during the night even though our drapes were fully closed.

location, breakfast and excellent staff.

We were given an "upgrade" by very well intentioned staff to the tower suite. Initially it seemed quirky but OK. However compared to the suite we originally had this room had only small semi circle windows high up on the walls , so it was always dark with very little natural light , no view and no balcony. The room is curiously overcrowded with random bric a brac everywhere such as open suitcases full of books, old games, plastic stools, floor lamps , piles of more books, plastic plants etc. So it is impossible to keep clean. The rooftop area is industrial and uninviting. I think they should redesign the tower suite so that it can perhaps be for families.

The staff was incredibly helpful and genuinely friendly—they assisted us with parking, city tips, and more. The property is stunning, designed with great attention to detail. Our room was sparkling clean, with comfortable beds, a clean bathroom, and fantastic views from the balcony. The breakfast exceeded expectations: a large, tasty buffet with something for everyone.

If I had to mention a negative, the room was a bit small, and there wasn’t much storage space. Rates were also a bit on the expensive side, but understandable given the high season.

Hotel Anker was great! Very comfy room, bedding and bathroom. Breakfast was top notch and restaurant also very good. Staff were exceptional and nothing was too much trouble. Location of the hotel is perfect for Lucerne with the old town an easy 10 minute walk.

One suggestion I'd make to all hotels in Switzerland is to provide 'pillow options' for guests other than feather pillows. Some of us, especially as we get older, need extra height with pillows and the feather pillows 'sink' too easily. Some hotels did have some 'synthetic' pillows which held their shape and worked well in conjunction with the feather pillows! After all, a good night's sleep is very important when travelling.
