Staff were really polite and helpful, the room was big and elegant. And the view from the balcony was really amazing

The Air conditioner was not cooling at all and it was really hot that day, we couldn’t sleep at all. They have provided us with a fan but it really didn’t do any difference. TV have no English Channels and all the signs in German language

Everything is about quality here, no fancy bling bling vibe. Beautiful location surrounded by nature, peaceful place, large rooms cleverly furnished, spotless clean, great swimming pool and gym, fresh and healthy breakfast with loads of choice. Not to mention the staff, who is amazingly nice and welcoming from the cleaners to the servers to the reception.

For me it’s not a problem at all, but it’s important to know that this hotel is linked to a kind of retirement home and as such the overwhelming majority of clients are elderly and/or disabled people. Probably not well suited for families or youngsters.

Quiet location. Big park in front of the hotel which is good for morning or evening stroll. Spacious & clean room. Comfy bed. Modern bathroom. Plenty of parking spaces. Welcome fruits!

Food was a bit salty in the restaurant.

ac does not work at all. we specifically booked a room with ac, and it was your typical, you can not adjust old fashioned hotel ac. No airflow and does not cool one bit. Also the hotel is a rehabilitation center for elderly. It felt more like a nursing home then a luxury hotel. Also the facilities are adjusted to the elderly. Dinner until 8:30 max and at 21pm reception is closed and the front door as well…. Would not recommend if you are under 70 years of age…

I did not appreciate the way staff handled my needs. I had a concerning ear pain when I arrived at the hotel and the woman working at the front desk offered to see if she could ask a nurse or doctor to come up to my room to check it out! I was impressed and amazed but nothing happened… I called later and another woman said that wouldn’t be possible that day. The next day, I asked again and the same first woman said she would send a doctor up to my room in the next ten minutes. I waited and waited. I called an hour later and she said it wasn’t possible. Was she ever going to call me to let me know? Then they said the shuttle could drop me off at a “clinic.” I said okay. Came to see it was the hospital and I ended up waiting five hours there to get help. Quite a fiasco.

Good hotel, excellent location and views. Balcony was great. Lucerne is a vibrant city, a 10 minute drive away. Recommend St Gotthard Pass and beyond, amazing scenery.

We didn’t read the small print that this hotel specialises in accommodation for over 70s.

The view was the most amazing we've had anywhere in the world.

It wasn't made clear at booking that this hotel specialises in hosting the elderly & those rehabilitating from illness; had this information been at the forefront we wouldn't have made a booking. The atmosphere wasn't conducive to a holiday & put a dampener on our visit to Switzerland that has left a lasting impression.
