The hotel is in a peaceful neighborhood, and the rooms are clean and spacy. The owners and the staff are really helpful and thoughtful. We had to arrive really late, and because of holidays we had to leave at a time when the reception was not able to handle our tourist tax payment. On both occasions, they were really helpful and respectful. The location is also right in the middle of many places one might want to visit in a Switzerland tour. About equal distance from Zurich, and Lauterbrunnen. Lucern itself is a prime location, and the Hotel has exceeded my expectations considering the amount I have paid. A price/performance winner for sure. If I come to Switzerland again, I will not search for a hotel, I know where to stay :)

If you are looking for some action to happen around the venue, this might not be the place for you, but if you are looking for privacy and peace, this is the place.

Good confortable room. All amenities like coffee maker, fridge, soaps etc were provided. Clean room. All fixtures excellent. Was easy to get there from train. Just walk across to the bus stop and catch a bus which stops few steps near the hotel. The name of the stop is Felmis Hotel so its easy for all. Good breakfast. Organic eggs as boiled or scrambled. Various kinds of cheese. Nuts, Coffee. Non-veg spread was in ample quantity, For the Indian vegetarians there are various kinds of breads, butter, fruits, cereals etc. The hosts are very friendly and i recall Patrick waiting for me to arrive at 10 pm to personally hand over the keys. Here the reception closes at 8pm or so and they give u a code in case u arrive late. They offer pre-checkin details in their website to be filled in. Opt for the breakfast package always.

The bathroom lock & key can be changed to an easier one. The present one is a but tricky and difficult to open if someone goes inside and locks it. From India point of view to the indians: There is no room service. There is a restaurant downstairs where you can order food but they dont serve indian foods. I really dont have any thing i dont like. Felmis is a hotel i would love to come back again and again.

A small and pleasant hotel located in a pastoral village called: Horw, adjacent to Lucerne, less than fifteen minutes drive away. For those who do not have a car, there is a bus stop right in front of the hotel entrance that goes to Lucerne's main station and is free for hotel guests. For car owners, the hotel offers free parking. The hotel staff is very nice and helpful, the rooms are relatively small, but well equipped, clean and comfortable. The shower and bathroom are spacious, and the beds in the room are comfortable. The breakfast is very good and varied. All in all, this is a very good value for the price.

The reception is only open until 20:00, and if you arrive later you need to inform the hotel in advance to receive a code that will allow you to take the key out of a box located at the entrance of the hotel. The hotel does not have a pool, spa, or gym.

We were in Room 14 on the first floor. It is a corner room at the front of the hotel with a large balcony at the side. We didn't hear any road noise. The room was clean & spacious with a large, comfy bed, 2 comfy chairs + table. The shower was powerful. There was a safe + a fridge. We didn't use the coffee machine as it was pods. Air con worked very well. Breakfast was buffet style & all fresh. Staff were very friendly & quick to refill any items. We ate in the restaurant on 2 evenings. The food was very good, fresh + homemade. Restaurant staff on the first occasion were friendly & attentive. Plenty of parking across the road but bus stop is directly across the road and No. 21 goes to Lucerne every 30 minutes.

During our second visit to the restaurant there was a party of people whom the Manager obviously knew + was very attentive to. He would attend to other tables as well but this appeared very tokenistic - he came to our table twice + asked if we needed anything after our dinner? We asked for more drinks but he never brought them. We gave up asking in the end + decided to go elsewhere.

Spotless room, comfortable bed, staff that went above and beyond, in-room fridge, wonderful included hotel breakfast (great selections), and delicious onsite restaurant with great food and service. Plus the FREE bus tickets to downtown Lucerne and back.

If I had to nitpick, the bedrooms and main hotel spaces were very overheated. We tried turning down the thermostat in our room, but to no avail. Kept waking up in a pile of sweat. Only thing that helped was keeping the windows open. They would also run out of croissants before 9 am every day. They were obviously a popular items and Felmis should have responded by ordering more croissants. We were twice disappointed during our three day stay.

Phenomenal hotel! The main draw here was the room with AC (proper wall unit) and a killer breakfast. Both delivered. We arrived in Luzern a bit early but needed to drop our bags. The front desk was more than happy to help us get checked in and said they would take our bags to our room. However, just a few minutes later they informed us our room was ready to go. So we were super happy to get settled in. After a good nights sleep due to the nice Air Conditioner, the included breakfast was one of the best we had overall in Switzerland. Everything you can imagine was available...cooked eggs and bacon, sliced meat, local cheese, veggies, several yogurts, lots of bread choices, self-service (great) coffee, desserts. They even had prosecco to make a mimosa (should you want to start your day out right!). The main compromise of the hotel is that you must take a bus to get between central Luzern and the hotel. Bus 21 drops right at the hotel. You can get it going either direction for about the same amount of time (requires a transfer in 1 direction). So it arrives about every 15 min. You will want to budget 20-30 min per trip depending on wait time. Additionally, the bus can take you to the S4/S5 train nearby to get to the start of Mt Pilatus. The bus runs late in the evening and fairly early in the morning. Some people may find this to be too much waiting around but we felt that this hotel is worth it, compared to the hot, noisy, just-as-expensive, no breakfast alternatives in the city. If you had a car, this hotel would an incredibly fantastic choice for the region.

The day we checked out, there was a broke down car on the bus route and we had to wait about 40 min to get one to go to Luzern main station. I doubt this is common but it does highlight that the bus experience is key to the hotel experience. Obviously the hotel had no involvement or connection with this.

The atmosphere of the hotel was just really chill and relaxing. The service we received was exceptional. We interacted with numerous staff including Patrick and Monica who made our stay a memorable one. Even though the hotel isn’t located in the center of Lucerne, the city bus picks you up right in front of the hotel near the tennis club. Transportation was super convenient and only took 10 minutes each way. Breakfast was absolutely worth it. We absolutely loved eating breakfast there. The price for breakfast was affordable and there’s a good amount of options for anyone - definitely better than eating somewhere in the city. It was also nice to come back at the end of the day to the bar to grab a few beers and some snacks. If you need to do any laundry, they do have a washer and dryer on site to make life a little more convenient for travelers.

Hotel Felmis was a nice surprise on our trip alongside the Lucerna lake. The rooms have been recently renovated, they look clean and comfortable. There is also air conditioning in the room, a small fridge, a bottle of water and a coffee machine. Breakfast was tasty with plenty of choice. There are plenty of parking spots in front of the hotel - and a close location of the lake plus bus stop in front makes this place truly worth recommended. Absolutely we will be returning! Thank you

Our room was super comfortable and spacious, it had AC that we could control ourselves. Nice shower, and beautiful area! Friendly staff and great breakfast! We were only there for one night but I would recommend!

Location was a little harder to get to from Lucerne than we thought, but it turned out to be fine! You can rent a scooter from the hotel and get to the water/ more restaurants pretty quickly! Although we expected to be more central to Lucerne, it was actually kind of nice for the end of our trip around Switzerland when we were craving a bit of quiet.

Clean hotel with comfortable room. Plenty of free parking for hotel guests in other side of road. Location is about 20 min bus ride away from central Luzern, bus goes every half hour and runs until midnight. Bus stop just next to hotel. Hotel provides Luzern visitor card for guests so bus is free to use. Hotel breakfast good. Hotel staff was very helpful and with their instructions it was easy to do Mount Pilatus golden roumd trip.

Location is not in very central location but this was not a problem for us.
