We had exceptionally comfortable sleeps here. The room was spacious and decorated with unique furniture and posters which we like. Our host was really friendly and kindly offered us a larger room upon check-in. Although we had a shared bathroom, we rarely noticed anyone else using it and the shower was hot and high pressured every time we used it. We were a few blocks away from the centre of Lucern and found it easy to navigate from there to the main sights. It was also easy to arrive to the hotel by car and to find parking. Great value for money, I would recommend a stay here.

There was not any coffee available at the shared tea/coffee station, only tea, but I'm sure if we'd have asked at reception, we could have got our hands on some!

The hotel owner is incredibly friendly and helpful. He shared recommendations for must-visit places in Lucerne, such as iconic landmarks and attractions. When we asked if we could leave our luggage at the hotel after check-out and pick it up later after exploring the city, he kindly agreed. Additionally, he introduced us to Lucerne’s enchanting Christmas market, ensuring we don’t miss this festive experience. His thoughtfulness has made our stay even more enjoyable!

Although the hotel is a short distance from the main train station, it’s easily reachable by bus within 10 minutes.

After a 16 hour travel day, being greeted warmly and offered a beer was really welcome. The bar has a lovely atmosphere and the staff were all so helpful. If we hadn't been so tired we would have stayed for a couple more beers! The room was great for our needs - clean, comfy, compact and perfectly located. The shared bathroom was clean throughout our stay, though it ran out of loo roll at one point (which wasn't an issue for us as we were heading out anyway). The bar is (as is to be expected) noisy in the evening, but with the help of earplugs and an eye mask we both had a great nights sleep nevertheless. Thank you!

Excelent room, really big, clean, comfy beds. Nice shower too. Good location. Sadly we arrived on a Sunday, so the bar wasn't open. Staff was very friendly and helped us walking around.

Sharing a bathroom is not a Very nice experience.. There is a construction just by the hotel, so noise starts before 8 and electricity failed in the morning. Staff wasn't waiting for us, even though they had said before that it was ok my time of arrival. We had no internet, we got lucky we found someone to share wi-fi to call someone to come and let us check in.

Bettstatt-Neustadt is a wonderful place to stay! The location is fantastic, making it easy to explore the area. The house is cozy, fully furnished, and impeccably clean, offering a very comfortable experience. The staff are warm and welcoming, which added to the overall charm of our stay. One of the highlights was the lovely bar just under the hotel – a perfect spot to unwind and enjoy the atmosphere. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a cozy and convenient place to stay!

We were a bit caught off guard that the check in for the apartment was in a bar, and in an area of town that we didn’t initially like. But the host was very nice, and the apartment was immaculately clean. It was only about a 15 minute walk to old town, and we observed no problems with the area while we were there. It was a bit expensive for one night, but most things in the city are very pricey so we didn’t find it to be outrageous for the area.

Location: It’s near Luzern hauptbanhof. Clean: Room and everything was clean and poster at the room was cool. Noise: it was okay to open window at night and sleep. Staff: staff was nice. He kept my missing passport safe.

I tried contacting host with phone number in booking.com but I couldn’t call him. I think it automatically declined by the phone. We had a German number.

The manager (Roger) was very welcoming, accommodative, and honest. Firstly, he was flexible to let me check IN earlier than expected, cleared a parking space last minute, and also, i made a wrong booking for two, but it was only for one. Thereafter, he automatically updated me the room price was lower and reduced the invoice immediately, which showed integrity and honesty service. Highly appreciated ☺️.The room was clean and comfortable, fresh towels and bath floor towels, and it had a small fan too, which was so helpful in summer humid days. The hotel came with a bus pass too. Danke danke, Roger for your kind hospitality.

The hotel is a dorm room like one, so some floors have to share a common toilet and shower. The 1st floor shower room and toilet was clean, but the shower 🚿 pipe was flimsy and the hot water pressure was low, and it would be great to check the pipe and hot water.

The feeling that you get when you meet someone that truly cares about your experience in a new city! Roger was an exceptional host! You need to go and have a beer in the hotel bar. Roger brews it himself and it’s delish! Also, if you’re here on a Thursday evening, have the sausages! He also makes his own ketchup and it’s unlike any other that you’ve had! Such a fun experience! We loved this night!

Great location close to the train lines. We were very lucky to be able to check in early as we arrived early from our flight to Zurich. The owner was very accomodating. Overall great stay.

It was very hot during our stay, only thing we could of added was another fan but it was still a great stay
