The staff were super friendly and full of joy. The balcony was great with our lake room view. We enjoyed stunning sunrise and morning stars. The room was a great size, extremely clean inc shower etc. The city tax gives free buses which made travel quick and easy, although most things are walkable. We enjoyed our trip up the hill for a bit of exercise and after all that's what aids the view. The peaceful piano music was relaxing in the lobby and we also were able to use luggage storsge. We would stay here again for sure and I will recommend to others.

A lovely small hotel. Comfortable and very clean. The hotel is in a quiet location away from the centre but it’s easy to get to - I walked about 30 minutes from the station, mostly on the flat, just uphill for the last few minutes, but you can take a bus to a stop not far from the property. There is a nice view of the lake and mountains from the front rooms. I didn’t have breakfast but there is a nice breakfast room and a sitting area by reception with classical music playing. The hotel has a nice ambience and the staff are exceptionally helpful and friendly.

There was no kettle/ coffee machine in the room but just ask the staff.

This is a lovely hotel with excellent lake views at the front and a lovely reception area. Staff could not have been more helpful and thoughtful. They all spoke English so well luckily for us. The hotel is about 15-20 minutes easy walk from the Old Town, but also after paying tourist tax you get a voucher entitling you to free bus journeys around town and reduced rates for cable car rides up nearby mountains (well worth while). When we asked for a kettle and some cups for our room this was quickly provided for us.

Everything was lovely. The only thing which would improve the rooms would for rooms to have kettle and drinks facilities already provided ( but they will provide if asked).

This is a gorgeous old hotel overlooking Lake Luzern - very grand. We arrived early (11 am) and asked to leave our luggage; as it happened, our room was already ready and the concierge checked us in early for no extra cost. The room was spacious and tasteful with a comfortable bed and space to store luggage and hang clothes. As advertised, there was a great view over the lake - unfortunately for us, we stayed on a grey misty day so couldn't make the most of it but would be absolutely stunning on a clear day. It was quick and easy to walk into the central city from the hotel (although be aware there is a hill to walk up to get back to the hotel!)

The price of the breakfast buffet felt exorbitant - 25 CHF per person. It was a very good breakfast, but for that price you could find something equal elsewhere. Other hotels we stayed in around Switzerland offered breakfast for around 10 CHF (which is usually worth it for the convenience) so when asked on check-in if we wanted the breakfast, we said yes without enquiring beforehand about the price (our mistake) - the extra 50 CHF between the two of us was a bit of a shock!

I highly recommend this hotel. I really enjoyed my stay here , the room the view everything was great. The stuff are super friendly. I was hesitating a bit to book because many people were complaining about climbing the stairs to reach the hotel but I found out that you can use a slope instead of the stairs if you are using GPs to get there by bus get out one station before what GPS shows. As I discovered the gps only shows the route where you can only climb the stairs to reach the hotel. However if you get out one station before there is a route where you can use slope ( I know no one wants to use stairs if they are carrying heavy luggage ) I would definitely stay here again if i ever come back highly recommended.

No access to the balcony

The hotel is lovely although it sits on top of a hill so we had to walk up a cobblestoned street, then up a few stairs into the entrance. It was close to town though and the bus stopped just at the bottom of said hill. I walk with a cane, but managed to make the climb for the two days we were there. Lucerne is lovely, the hotel is in a lovely old building and the staff was very helpful and friendly. We bought breakfast on the second day. It was very good and reasonably priced. And there was a lift in the building, something we found lacking in other places we stayed. I highly recommend. It was a great value.

The climb up the hill

Absolutely incredible view of Lake Lucerne. The staff were wonderful - so friendly and thoughtful, even leaving me a thoughtful treat on my birthday. The location was perfect for us - a 15 minute walk or few minute bus ride to Luzern Main Station, and a 10 minute walk to the town. The beds were also really comfortable!

It was worth it for us so wasn’t an issue, but just for people to be aware it is a steep hill or stairs to get to the hotel. Wouldn’t have the view without the treck though so it really didn’t bother us!

Location and view was absolutely magical, we were just transiting through Luzern and just needed a place to stay for a night but this hotel far surpassed our expectations. It snowed the day before and the lake/mountain view was 😍😍 The hotel was very clear and friendly and helpful with communication and recommended buses to minimise navigating snowy paths with our suitcases. Reception also lent us a Swiss adapter (with deposit) after we realised it was different from Euro adapter. The hotel also provided luggage storage facilities for a short period after check out. Little touches were nice too within the room like water, Kambly biscuits and tissue packets provided

Not the most convenient to get to if you’re less mobile, we had to walk up a long flight of stairs to get to the top of the hill where the hotel was situated. There was another slope up but it was a bit of a loop. But otherwise a relatively short walk from the bus stop! Besides the view and the little touches, the room facilities itself was average. Bed was 2 single mattresses put together and I ended up falling between the mattresses during the night. Pillows were also very soft/not much support but really I’m just nitpicking now

This was our favourite destination and hotel on our Euro trip. Arad was absolutely amazing. He was informative and so helpful. He made the trip so much more enjoyable by providing us with his favourite places to visit and he gave us exact directions and busses to take so we never got lost. The hotel also provided a complimentary bus pass so we didnt have to pay for the bus. The breakfast was so good. The room was comfortable and the view was beautiful. Please stay here if you get the opportunity. You will not regret it.

Nothing. Absolute perfection.

The view from our balcony was breathtaking. Beautiful Lake Lucerne with spectacular Mountain Views. Room was very comfortable and clean. Staff friendly and helpful. 15 minute walk to main shopping area and train station. Tree lined waterfront walkways by the lake with wonderful restaurants and bars. A day trip to Lauterbrunnen valley is a must. The trains are so quick and on time. A lot of beautiful historic buildings.

Nothing we didn’t like. There is a 5 minute walk up a slightly steep road to hotel so if you have a lot of luggage would recommend getting a taxi.
