Location. Was close to all tourist attractions. Self check in was smooth and uneventful. Room was clean and beds comfortable however would have liked an additional pillow. Shopping facilities next door and good selection of cafe's and restaurants. Good, sound accommodation option for a brief stay in Lucerne. Good breakfast offered if you nominate to include at neighbouring (sister) hotel.

Traffic noise however we chose to leave the window open for fresh air.

Hotel just as mentioned in the booking website. Self check in was simple and convenient. Centrally located, close to all tourist sites, Lucerne being a small place. No AC, although weather in August was comfortable enough to not need one. Clean and big room.( We had booked a triple room for a family of 3).

Entrance to the hotel not very well marked. It is on the main road but visitors can miss it the first time as Google maps shows a rear entrance. Self check might be inconvenient for someone who is not used to dealing with zero staff; although they have an adjacent property with staff who could help.

The location was outstanding right on the edge of the Lucerne Old Town - the grocery store was right beside the hotel & a bus stop right in front of the hotel for easy access to the train station and old town. Check-in and check-out was very easy. Our room was really comfortable & clean - we loved our stay. The breakfast was outstanding and the hotel staff were friendly and really helpful. We would for sure stay at the Ambassador on our next trip to Lucerne.

The location is great -very close to the station and the lake. Our room was spacious, the bed was comfortable and the breakfast was very good. The room is quite basic - no kettle or tea bags in there but I asked at the reception of the sister hotel and they were happy to supply me with them. They also gave us an adaptor when we realisedthe one we had didn't fit.

I personally prefer to check in with a human, not a machine,, but I guess that's how they keep the price comparatively lower than some of the ludicrously expensive hotels in Lucerne. The room was very hot as there is no air conditioning. This didn't bother me too much but you should be aware if you need air con. .

It was very quiet and discreet, with a great breakfast and really polite staff that could speak different languages! The hotel has good security, strict access and an elevator. Having only a few rooms per level, it is quiet and discreet. It is located across the street from the lion sculpture. You have acces to supermakets and shopping areas in only a few meters and also to the main historical streets. It is located at 6 to 10 minutes walk from the bridges.

It is quite expensive, but so are all the prices in this country.

Location - excellent location, short walking distance (10 mins) to Lion Monument, Luzern main train / bus station, bus stop right in front of the hotel, good restaurants, COOP & Migros like just next door. Fairly large corner room, for 3 pax. Very polite and responsive staff

Poor location of electrical wall sockets - eg located under the TV counter, none at bed side tables. ( we had to plug in the electric kettle on the floor, next to the sofa bed)

I stayed at the other hotel before, so I really booked this again for the location. But this time around, I am blown away by the staff. It was self check in, but I asked them to help my parents (I was to arrive a day later) and they did! Breakfast was also plentiful and I really do love the eggs! So perfectly boiled. They also let us keep our luggage for a day for free since we will be booking them after our overnight stay at Murren.

Everything was as expected.

The central location. The beds were very comfortable and the team came in to clean and bring fresh towels everyday. The breakfast at the restaurant next door was also very good.

The room was very hot, even with the fan on and the windows open. You get a lot of noise from the street with the windows open as there was a busy street and bus park below the room. It would have been good to have a kettle in the room. There was a great balcony but no outside furniture.

This hotel was wonderful. The ease of check in, the cleanliness of the room, when dealing with staff they were kind and courteous even when dealing with my blunder. The location was perfect! A quick ten minute walk to the train, bus or boat. One direction chapel bridge the other the old swiss house and the lion monument. Cobblestone stores at your finger tips. You could see the lake from the room! Having a fan was a huge plus. The size of the room was ideal, the hotel was very quiet. The street noise could affect some but it is a city and you only heard it if you had windows cracked or open. I would stay again if ever back in Switzerland. Exceeded our expectations!!!

The shower was a little troublesome, no matter how we tried we got water everywhere. The pillows had nothing to them and when we requested 3 more we got two. The last thing was hardly any outlets. It was a struggle to charge all our things without climbing under furniture...the night light lamp was nice but didn't do the job charging well. In the facilities, The elevator access was a little tight..we could not fit three people and luggage.If you want a hotel with staff in your building this is not for you but they are right next door!! Overall these are little things, if you nailed them it would be a perfect 10!!!

Easy and mostly hassle free (one snag below) to check in and check out. Room was spacious, clean, and comfortable, and it's in a good area to explore Lucerne from - it looks a little dated/nondescript from the outside but inside is much nicer!

The Wifi was very slow. It should also be made much clearer than the baggage lockers require a coin deposit of Francs or Euros, as many travellers just arriving won't have this and would be stuck in that scenario.
