Reception staff. Rude and not very helpful duty manager. Pushing to charge your credit card without asking your needs and not following on your requests. We booked a room threw booking.com however we did not like our room, and tried to change it. Duty Manager tried to upsell for more expensive room and put an extra charge for the breakfast, when it was clearly mentioned in our booking confirmation Breakfast is included. A bit dissaapointing especialy in such a great Hotel. Houskeeping never cleaned or bother to clean our room in 48 hours :(

Breakfast was great. Room view is amazing. It's very silent neighborhood. Staff are really friendly and helpful. Will definitely book again.

Im impressed. Till till this time it's my favorite hotel. I would to come back again. This hotel has a wonderful spa where you can find everything you need or you want even a solarium. Hot pool outside, everything you like. Service cleaning two times a day. İn the evening cleaning they left you some chocolate. İt so sweet. Location is perfect.. The Bahnhofstrasse and the center is about 3km. The hotel has His own Station is Dolder Station. So you can go to the city by train or shuttle. The meal is so gurme and tasty. The Dolder Grand isn't a 5 star hotel. In fact, I'm not sure it's a hotel at all. It's more of an experience. It's clearly not 5 stars when you compare it to many other 5 star hotels. It's 6 or even 7. Dolder Grand team goes above and beyond in making every guest feel special. We enjoyed our stay at TDG immensely and are definitely coming back.

Pillows clearly can be more comfortable, we struggled with them. Somehow when you ask room service for a bowl of grapes it can cost EUR50, hence if it's important to you make sure you know the price before making custom requests. The upside is that they will execute your request with perfection.

This is a beautifully designed hotel featuring very modernly furnished rooms with exceptionally comfortable beds. We particularly enjoyed the great balcony that overlooked the lake. The indoor pool was a lovely amenity, although a touch cool for spring swimming. The outdoor jacuzzi, however, was excellent. Breakfast was a definite highlight, offering a wide and impressive variety of both cold and hot dishes, including some interesting special menu items. We also had a great dinner experience at the Saltz restaurant. A special mention must go to the concierge, who was incredibly helpful in securing tickets for the chocolate museum tour for us, even after we found it fully booked online.

The only downside to this otherwise exceptional hotel is that it is on the pricier side.

WOW. Over the past year I have been to 10 five star hotels at least, and they were nothing compared to the Dolder. The Dolder Grand is something else, something above five start, something truly unique that I wished I had experienced earlier. My suite was absolutely gorgeous, with a stunning view over the lake of Zurich. Everything in the room was clean, tidy, luxurious. The SPA was one of the best I have ever tried, beautiful and calm indoor pool, with an outdoor jacuzzi overlooking Zurich. The staff and the concierge were all super helpful, super kind and really made me feel special and welcomed during my entire stay. Finally I want to make a special mention for the food....the Saltz Restaurant was extremely good but what has totally surprised me was the breakfast. HANDS DOWN THE BEST BREAKFAST ON PLANET EARTH. Super happy of my stay, as I visit Zurich few times a year, I will make sure to stay at Dolder next time I come in few months. See you soon:)

Positive: spa, very friendly staff, room set-up, restaurant. Our toddler loves it very much.

Could have room to improve: (1) the kids' room is only a standard hotel room that was transformed, which means the space was really limited. Compared to other 5-star hotels, there could be a dedicated high-ceiling kids room with more functions. (2) The hotel lobby bar was REALLY crowded in the afternoon and it was difficult to get a table even as a hotel guest (as it is not possible to reserved). Probably one of the restaurants can be opened as an addition for hotel guests?

Everything in the hotel was perfect. From the reception staff to the gym, everything is 5 star level

The location for solo travelers who go to Zurich for the 1st time is a bit far. Prepare yourself to pay at least 30 euros every way you go from central zurich to the hotel. If this is not a problem for you, enjoy! Besides the distance, i Would definitely come back to the hotel!
