Comfortable room and good shower. Very nice quirky boutique hotel. View from window. Great location. TV in room had access to both bbc and itv!! A wee bonus for Corrie fans!! 😂 We enjoyed a very good breakfast beautifully presented and included in the room rate which is fast becoming a thing of the past in many hotels and was very much appreciated. Helpful staff both at breakfast and when we required to borrow an adaptor and a cork screw.

Female Receptionist remained far too long on a business call discussing upcoming bookings before ending to acknowledge guests waiting to book in.

I loved our room, it was beautifully decorated & spacious, the location was perfect and within walking distance of the old town, the bed was incredibly comfortable and the staff is amazing too.

Breakfast was a disaster, we have stayed for 3 nights over New Year ( very understaffed, and I felt sorry for the lady who worked alone with the place being very busy ), the selection of food was rather poor when compare to any other hotels we stayed at. I have requested a porridge for a child but was told they don't do porridge, on the next day they run out of toast. There was hardly any food.

The room size, location, and staff were all excellent. The bathroom was clean and spacious, and breakfast was a pleasant experience with a good selection. The hotel has a great overall appearance, with tasteful renovations that really enhance the space. The location is also very convenient and well situated for exploring the area.

The reception area was not clearly marked, which made initial check-in confusing. The mattress was excessively firm and uncomfortable, and the pillows were too thin to provide adequate support. The room was uncomfortably warm throughout the night, despite efforts to lower the temperature and keeping the window open. A flat sheet would have been a helpful alternative to using the blanket,

Location is fantastic. Room was spacious and really well furnished. Large windows were very useful as there was no air conditioning. Front desk were able to source fans for us on our second day. Beds were comfortable. Breakfast was really nice and included in our room rate. The scrambled eggs were made to order and delicious! Staff were really helpful and nice.

The lack of air conditioning is a real issue in Summer. This is an issue for all hotels in Zurich. That being the case, fans really should be provided as standard in every room in summer otherwise it is really hard to cool down the room and sleep.

Quaint and charming hotel right next to the Opera House. Loved the decor of the hotel rooms and the beds were super comfy. The location is perfect and within walking distance of most things in Zurich. A lovely buffet breakfast was included in our stay at the restuarant downstairs.

A nice addition would be a kettle with tea & coffee facilities. Also the lift is a bit finicky but I understand the hotel was undergoing renovations right after our stay so this might be rectified. The reception staff were lovely and very helpful.

We experienced Hotel Europe to be an utterly charming little hotel in a delightful part of Zurich 😄 We loved our tastefully renovated room, the classy restaurant on site, the excellent breakfast served each morning (one of the best hotel breakfasts we've ever had!) and the easy walkability from the hotel to the lake and the main part of town. But the aspect of the hotel that has left an even more lasting impression than all of this, was the exceptional professionalism and friendliness of the staff. Jan on reception very kindly managed to organise an early check in on the morning we arrived in, and he and his colleagues, made time for a chat and a catch up each time we arrived back at the hotel after a day out...such a lovely touch when one is jet-lagged and new to a city 😊 We will look no further than Hotel Europe if we ever are lucky enough to visit Zurich again!!

The room was very clean & comfortable with old-world charm. The staff did a fantastic job every day cleaning, putting out fresh towels, and making the bed. The registration staff, including Daniel, Allen, & and Lisa, were very helpful lining up tour tickets or lining up an eye doctor appointment that was needed. A tremendous help all around---more little things than I can mention! The restaurant & staff were also fantastic.

It would be nice to have a lighter weight coverlet option. (They did have blankets available in the wardrobe, but we did not get them out.) A small fan would also be nice. (We were on the third floor---so we were able to open the window instead.)

This is a lovely old style boutique hotel. Beautiful room. The location was perfect. You are in the center of Zurich. A great place to walk out the door and explore. We needed to get instructions on how to get to the hotel by metro because a major bike race was going on while we were there. The race was not a problem. The city seems to absorb these events and carries on. The hotel staff were lovely and breakfast was excellent.

There was a step down in our hotel room. This feature had safety lights. But if you have ambulatory issues, check with the hotel.

The reception staff were excellent, very welcoming and helpful. We received a room upgrade to a lovely room that had a small balcony and we could look down the road to the lake. The breakfast was very good. The staff made very good coffee. The buffet was well laid out. Meats and cheeses very pretty in their appearance. Fresh warm croissants and bread. On our second morning they cooked us fried eggs and an omelette. The hotel is in a great location near the Opera house and the lake. All transport options can be found close by (train, tram, bus). It was an easy stroll to the historic and town areas. I would definitely stay here again.

The location is above the expectations, the room was quite cosy and calm, a little bit dark but in a sunny day it could be a preference, very good breakfasts and very friendly and attentive staff. I would love to stay one more time but maybe I need to try another grade of the room.

In the wardrobe there were just bits of dust on the floor. There were no sockets to charge my macbook, the sockets themselves were there, but they were thin, like for charging an iPhone, to be honest, it was the first time I've seen such a thing in a hotel. And there were no sockets near the bed...The bathroom was incredibly small, I am not big at all and even for me it was not comfortable, so better check the size of the bathroom before booking if you're a physically gorgeous woman or man. The room was pretty quiet, apart from the night when someone was fighting and arguing outside for quite a while, which was again strange for this location. The pillows are horribly horribly uncomfortable(, maybe because they are old...
