Excellent location. 3 mins walk to the opera house and lake. The staff is truly wonderful, with Isabella going above and beyond to be helpful and patient. Everyone at SILK is incredibly friendly and welcoming! The room well appointed, featuring a beautiful, practical, and thoughtfully designed layout. It's impressively new and spotlessly clean, with all features and switches meticulously crafted. I especially appreciate the automatic shutters outside the window – such a thoughtful touch. The air conditioning works exceptionally well; unlike what I experienced at my previous hotel, where I found the air conditioning lacking. The bed is super comfortable too!

The hotel does not offer a fitness facility. Additionally, there is no explicit information regarding the discontinuation of room cleaning services after noon.

We were quite disappointed with our stay. The room was advertised with a king-size bed, but in reality, it was two twin beds pushed together — making it very uncomfortable for a couple. Additionally, we had booked the stay via Booking.com under the impression that breakfast was included, but upon arrival, we were informed it wasn’t. These discrepancies significantly impacted our experience and did not match the expectations set during the booking process.

Exceeding expectations. Took smallest room for 1 person and it was actually super clean and cozy, with big bed and very big bathroom with great shower. A/C works quietly. Breakfast for 32 chf seems a bit modest in quantity and expensive, but it is enough and worth it, I think, considering convenience and unlimited drinks (coffee, juices). Choosing everything a la carte would be pricier. Wish I stayed longer than just 1 night.

Excellent location for The Opera House, Christmas market , lake and art galleries … Loved that the sheets were not the ubiquitous white of most hotels … but matches the room decor… excellent breakfast choices… The room lighting system was ‘ state of the art’ All staff warm and welcoming and efficient. Excellent no paper check in and out.

For much of the year the room prices are , I am afraid, too high for me.. but, I accept the Ambassador is a ‘ quality product’

Location was excellent for walking to the old town and shopping , museums cetc. - friendly and helpful staff. i had a very good dinner in the hotel the first evening. I liked how you were able to choose your individual items for breakfast ( and it was served to you) which meant that the price remained reasonable.

My room looked onto a courtyard and it seemed where the garbage was collected early each morning - around 5.30 a.m. and this was very noisy. I had misunderstood that none of the rooms except the suites had a bath as I had originally requested. If i understood the bill correctly I was charged for the tea provided with the machine in the room - I had assumed this would be free as in most hotels.

We stayed 3 days in Zurich and loved our stay at Ambassador hotel. From the moment we stepped in and we're checked in by Roman with his nice smile and professional attitude and then all the advice we received from Isabelle, they made our stay memorable and very comfortable. The beds are very comfortable and the bathroom has eveyetjine one needs. Grown Alchemist products are amazing to use and the location is just perfect. Thanks everyone for an unforgettable stay.

This Hotel has an excellent location for exploring Zurich. Literally can walk anywhere. Beautiful Lake Zurich is a few footsteps out the door. Old Town is a quick walk up the street. If you are here in December a few Christmas markets are just around the corner. Our Room was so modern and comfortable and the staff was beyond nice. The cute little bar downstairs and the European-style breakfast is wonderful and plentiful in the morning. Our room was spacious and, we were greeted with a little anniversary surprise!

The Ambassador Hotel is a true gem and my recent stay there was nothing short of exceptional. I was treated to a level of luxury and personalized service that left me truly impressed. The bed was incredibly comfortable, providing a heavenly night's sleep after a long day of travel. The bathroom, complete with high-end toiletries, bathrobes, and slippers was so refreshing. And the contents of the free mini-fridge and room service were excellent. Isabella's professionalism and dedication to guest satisfaction left a lasting impression on me. Her willingness to go the extra mile to make my stay comfortable and enjoyable truly exemplifies the Ambassador Hotel’s commitment to providing exceptional service.

Location is very convenient. Within minutes walk you can access all sorts of public transport available in Zurich as well as easily and shortly reaching main areas of the city in foot. In addition there are plenty of restaurants and fine dinning places for those who seek a different experience in a radius of 300m, as well as a gym u can use via day passing. Cleanliness was very good. Staff was very accommodating especially that one in the Silk Restaurant area. The Chef was very polite and ready to adjust some special requirements for my meal. Had I the opportunity to go back I definitely will rebook the same hotel.

There was a mechanical problem in the first night of stay in the AC system causing a disturbance noise but they offered a room change and in terms of quietness the new room met my expectations. They might have sorted that mechanical problem in the 5th floor. I wish the menu selection in the restaurant was a bit richer.
