It’s better to take the tram from Zurich HB station to reach this property. It’s about 350 meters of flat road to reach the property. If you get down at Zürich Stadelhofen station with is the closest, then it’s an arduous uphill climb to reach the property. It’s difficult with luggage.

Lovely decor, comfortable bed, excellent shower. The room was warm but we could easily open the windows. The multi function plug sockets (including British)/charging points were useful. Breakfast was great with a nice selection and replenished quickly on busy mornings. Staff very friendly and welcoming. There is a fridge in the room which will be useful in future visits to store my dairy free items.

Our safe was locked open so we couldn't use it, but this was a minor inconvenience. A selection of teas and coffee in the rooms would have been nice - there were only two tea bags, and if you choose to not have your room cleaned daily, you are quickly out of stock. One of us is mildly allergic to dairy and there are no dairy free options for breakfast (spread/milk) and presumably butter is used for cooking. No real surprise in the land of cheese and chocolate and a cow themed hotel lol.

Generally speaking it is a nice hotel for a short stay. Its not very central but within a short distance to the city centre. I liked the swiss decor of the hotel.

The breakfast was not good at all, limited selection of hot buffet, scrambled eggs- overcooked and cold, sausages and ham were not cooked enough and were cold. Also most of the time the lady serving breakfast was not there so nobody to ask or clean the table. Also the water in the shower is very weak and the shower head kept leaking all the time. Ironing board was broken and the iron was not working properly. Also a massive stain on a chair.

The hotel was a short walk from the Old Town. We had a spacious room, with a good shower. The breakfast set us up nicely for the day, and the little gym was well-provisioned, although we didn't have time to use it.

All of the pillows were really soft. I would have liked a firmer option. These may have been available had I asked, but I only remembered when I came to rest my weary head at the end of long days investigating Zurich and locations further afield.

Swiss Night is located in a quiet residential area, conveniently close to the Lake and the Kunsthaus. The room was tastefully decorated in typical Swiss style, with modern amenities including heating, warm blankets, a desk, and coffee-making facilities. We liked the whole ambience of the facility. The breakfast was delicious and there was a variety on offer. Breakfast is served in the cellar which in itself was an interesting venue.

it’s worth noting that the bar fridge remains unstocked and one can only get drinks and snacks from the reception area to take to your room. Additionally, the absence of a comfortable lounge area and a luggage storage room could be areas for improvement. The only seating in the reception area is hard wooden benches.

The decoration of the room was very pleasant, with dimmed light from the ceiling, which was particularly useful to combine the needs of us adults and our little child who was sleeping. The room was spacious and the shower very nice. The breakfast room and food options were also good. The neighbourhood is great for walking around.

I imagine design architects have their reasons, but it is not very practical to have the door shutting at you when you are sitting on the toilet ;) Maybe sliding doors next time?

The location was good. Course you the tram station and to a grocery store. Rooms were really lovely. Loved the theme. Beds were comfortable and the bathroom was clean and smart. We didn’t take the accommodation with breakfast so the kettle and minibar fridge was very useful.

I found that the staff are not very friendly. Actually we felt this way in general while in Switzerland. We had to be first to greet and smile. A simple greeting such as Good morning,How are you? Is expected in the tourism industry. However this was not the norm. Anyways this didn’t spoil our stay at the hotel as everything else was really great. There’s no harm in being the first to smile and greet.

It was just a quick stay for one night and we arrived in the evening and left in the morning but the place was super cute and nice. Really good price. The area was great, quiet, and safe. The street was really pretty. Felt very safe and secure even on the first floor. Staff was friendly. Easy to walk to lots in the city.

Only one thing was that there was some black mould in the bottom corner of the shower, otherwise very clean

Very clean and staff was very nice and everyone we encountered spoke english which was helpful. Breakfast buffet was lovely, a bit overpriced im my opinion but this is Zurich so it is to be expected.

Mini fridge could be a bit larger, could not fit much in it. And this is not a complaint on the hotel itself but one floor above us must’ve been a family with children and they were running and stomped around at all hours of the night both nights we stayed so that was quite disruptive. Walls/floors are very thin so it’s not the quietest place. Otherwise it was a wonderful stay.

- some additional soundproofing could have been helpful. Noise comes in easily from nearby busy roads - the ceiling of the rooms on the top floor is too low in some parts of the room, making it dangerous
