The staff were friendly, genuinely motivated and helpful beyond expectation. Within 2 days I was known at reception including by staff unknown to me and that greatly facilitates your travel timeline and experience. eg receptionists with hands out when leaving and no need to ask for my deidentified room "key" on return, (free) laundry issues resolved in my absence and coordinating cleaning staff around my unusual hours (I spent daytimes in and nights out with my son after he finished work). It all felt very personal. The location is within 5 minutes walk to Taipei Main Station, Zongshan Station (much easier to use for the metro) and Taipei Bus Station. Family Mart is over the road. Multiple restaurants and coffee shops are close (it's Taipei). Lots of retail stores are close.

There could be better sound-proofing between bathroom/toilet and the neighbouring suite and between room and corridor. I was directly opposite the elevators, so it was probably worse than for other rooms. Taiwan hotel accommodation costs are way out of proportion with general Taiwan cost of living, but in the context of that and the 3-star rating, I think this hotel goes a long way to make the stay comfortable and relaxed.

The location is great, 10 minutes walk to the Ning Xia night market. 2 minutes walk to the modern art museum. Close to many good eateries and coffee shops. Close to the train station of course. Room is spacious compared to some other hotels. The free washer+dryer+laundry detergent is great! Easy to use. Very convenient! It is not noisy at all. Prior to my trip I was worried about the noise level because I am quite sensitive to noise. I am very satisfied with the quietness in the room. The internet is satisfactory as well.

The windows are not see through. There is also no view out of the window because it is facing the air shaft. There are rooms looking out to the street. However friends have reported those rooms being to noisy and they had to change to the rooms facing the air shaft.

We chose to stay for two nights in this hotel as we wanted to be near the Taipei HSR station as we had an early morning train to catch. We truly enjoyed our stay and found this hotel to be near perfect for the following reasons: 1. Location - the hotel is just 1 block away from the Taipei HSR station (just a short 5 min walk) and MRT but it is uncovered (hence exposed to rain) and along a busy and uneven road (so expect some mild wear and tear on your suitcase wheels). 2. Cleanliness and comfort - the rooms are nice and clean and new. Shower is clean and strong with nice shower amenities. Comfortable bed with modern flat screen TV (can link wirelessly to phone). Free Wi-Fi of decent strength. 3. Convenience - just next to the hotel there is a McDonalds, KFC, CAMA coffee (excellent coffee for breakfast), 7-11, Family Mart and a 24-hr restaurant serving local Taiwanese food. 4. Amenities - there is a self-serve pantry on the ground floor where guests have free-flow of coffee, tea and snacks (biscuits in the day and instant noodles for supper). There is a microwave, toaster oven and fridge for common use. There are also washing machines and dryers for guests to use. This is so convenient and so freaking perfect! 5. Service - the service staff are friendly and genuinely make an effort to listen to what you need and actively help. We truly enjoyed our stay there and would definitely stay there again on our next trip to Taipe

The room is quite small and cramped. No space to put your clothes.

Good location. Near to Taipei Main station and bus terminal. You can take bus 1819 from Taoyuan airport to bus terminal and this hotel is only 5 mins walk from the bus terminal. It is 10 mins walk to the Zhongshan Station and shopping malls. Plenty of food options too, there is a good coffee place and good and cheap beef noodles and dumplings just across the road. This hotel has a a pantry which provides free biscuits and has nice expresso coffee machine, also free instant noodles for supper. The washing machine and dryer are free for hotel guests.

My room was outside the lift and the housekeeping store, sound proofing is very poor. I can hear the noise from the corridor, the housekeeper doing their work and pushing their trolley, people talking in the corridor.

toilet seat is warmed (important during winter); the hotel provided free laundromat (self service, washing machine and dryer); free tea and coffee beverages and free instant noodles (after 10 pm every night); and reliable hot water for showers . also assisted with booking of Michelin starred breakfast (soya milk and fried dough sticks known as you tiaos wrapped with omelette (dan bing ) and grilled dough (Shao bing ) ; staff are responsive and makes you feel welcomed; the hotel is walking distance from the HSR train station as well as the air port MRT (which is accessible from nearby Q square mall basement 1 level ); and also walking distance to Ningxia night market

Ginny and Jay provided excellent customer service to us with regards to places to visit and also our general queries. We were always treated with a smile and courtesy. Location of CityInn III is superb. Located near Taipei main station and we found out its also near zhongshan Station.

Adjoining rooms are not interconnected. So that's disappointing. They advertise as 322sq ft. It's actually 2 standard rooms. What they did was actually locate us next to each other which is the best they can do.

Just a stone throw away from Taipei Main Station. Location is perfect. Room is small but clean. They have a room where you can go and do your laundry for free. They also provide some clip noodles in that room but we didn’t need them. Room is a little small but it has all the facilities. They also provide some snack for you daily which is nice. Toilet is clean and has a bidet.

Only minor gripe is that the room doesn’t have blackout curtains. Only translucent day curtains. Not great if you’re thinking of sleeping in as the sun will shine in.

Hotel is clean and comfortable. Staff is super friendly and helpful. Location is superb. It took us just under 4 minutes (varies depending on walking speed) to get to the hotel from either Taipei Bus Station (exit Q Square) or Taipei Main Station (exit Y11). As we spent most of our time away, we didn't mind the room size (the room is compact). We travelled light so we only had 2 messenger bags and 1 small backpack, therefore, we had enough room to move about inside the room. We also got a room with windows (facing Chang'an W Rd), which was fantastic. Do take note that when Taipei is awake, you may hear sounds of cars and motorcycles. This didn't really bother us (one of us is a light sleeper) since the outside noise was not loud to the extent we couldn't sleep/continue sleeping. Overall, we really enjoyed our stay for its location, condition and hospitality. Thank you, CityInn!

Ask for a room at the backside of the hotel because windows are thin and traffic at the intersection of Chang'an W Road & Chengde Road is very noisy (day and night). Couldn't sleep without earplugs

I am very motivated to write this review after my third stay at this exceptional hotel. I think most people would have gotten a good idea from all the reviews here about the size of the rooms and the facilities provided here, so there is no need to flog the horse about it. For its price, the size of the room and the prime location to many of the happening spots in Taipei is already worth it. I mean, having free laundry and dryer service is a god-send, especially at the end of the year when it is usually rainy season. You would have no worry at all of running out of clean and dry clothes during your stay here. One thing I must mention is the impeccable service the staff at Cityinn Branch III has provided consistently. They are always willing to go the extra mile for us. When I was going out when it was raining out, one of the staff quickly alerted me to take an umbrella beside the entrance. I must particularly mention Sam, whom I am particularly appreciative of, as he has been the one showing a lot of attention to us when we were here in 2018 and 2019. Knowing that we have returned after the end of the Covid pandemic, he took effort to take good care of us. He had volunteered to help me with my laundry, and even folded them after they were done in the dryer. He had written a personal note to welcome us. He has even remembered my wife's birthday and gave her a Birthday card! All these small gestures cannot be found in just any hotel. In 2018, I wanted a recommendation for a supper spot nearby the hotel and I asked Sam. Within hesitation, he rattled off his favourite restaurant, what dishes we must try, and called a cab for us so that we would not get lost looking for the place. He handed me the hotel card with his name written on it, so that I can pass it to the cab driver to return back to the hotel. I had kept this card since, and he was surprised that I still had it! I can't wait to return to the wonderful city of Taipei, and to stay here again!
