Stayed at RF Hotel again after seven years and it was a right decision made. It’s just a few minutes away from Zhongxiao Dunhua station and you can reach Taipei Dome on foot in 15 minutes. Many food options around this shopping district. One of the best things about its central location is Uber eats deliveries were incredibly fast. I tried ordering from a nearby famous eatery and the food was in my hands 10 minutes later. Drinks from another district were delivered within 15-20 minutes even at peak hour. The staff at the counter on the 8th was friendly during checkout and so was the uncle in charge of handling luggage storage. I’m looking forward to staying here again.

On the first day (1 Dec), I saw a lipstick stain on one of the cups and was a little taken aback. However, from the 2nd till the 6th, I saw the same housekeeper every day and she did a good job cleaning the room. In fact, her friendly disposition made the stay very pleasant. So it’s likely that it’s a genuine oversight on the first day or it could have been another housekeeper on duty on the first Sunday. All in all, I would say cleanliness is well maintained here.

This is the second time I use the RF Hotel as my base in Taipei. What I really like about it is the friendliness of the staff and their flexibility. There is a big lounge beside the reception area that can be used for relaxing or working, with complementary drinks and snacks. There is a real studenty feel about the place which I like. The rooms are very clean and the bed very big and comfortable. Finally the location is excellent within 5 minutes walk to the MRT Station, blue line, from which you can reach any part of the city very quickly. Furthermore, you have a lot of amenities and shops just round the corner so the location is really perfect from that point of view!!

The only criticism I would give if any is the fact that the corridors leading to the rooms need upgrading. The carpets are badly stained and this could put some guests off which is a shame because this is a great hotel with very good value for money, very friendly staff and excellent location!!!

This is my second to stay in this hotel, the location is very good and lots of restaurants nearby, staff are friendly and polite, this is one of my choice to book again.

The sound isolation inside the room is not perfect but acceptable. However they need to pay more attention to the cleaning service as I found some used cotton sticks and toilet paper from my toilet room 🧐

Lounge area and bedroom itself were really comfortable. There's an open wardrobe for you to hang clothes which had been worn for the day and they provided two towels with the room despite just one person being on the booking, which I liked since it meant I could refresh my towel without my room being entered. They left bottles of water outside each day since I had the "do not disturb" setting on. There's also tea and coffee provided in the lobby area, along with amenity disposables for guests to take (razors, shower caps) which I thought was really lovely.

I booked a mini room and the shower faced the sink area directly, which meant the water would splash onto the cupboard and into the corners of the bathroom tiles since it was an open area. The tiles would take a while to dry afterwards. Could benefit with a squeegee for use afterwards. Staff were accommodating, although the language barrier was a bit evident. English-speaking wasn't so prevalent.

The hotel location was excellent, at walking distance from 2 subway stations of the Bannan Line; besides, the hotel area is very safe and full of restaurants, malls, stores, and convenience stores which is very convenient. The staff was terrific, very kind and helpful going out of their way to aid me in whatever was needed such as providing power plug adaptors. As for the communal room, it was pretty comfortable, a perfect place for working and relaxing. The rooms were clean and comfortable.

It was difficult to find the hotel entrance, which is located on a side alley from the main road, there was no clear indication on how to access the hotel. Receiving an email with instructions and pictures after the booking confirmation would solve this problem. All power plugs in the hotel were with the local standard, which is not convenient, but the staff had plenty of adaptor when solicited.

The rooms were clean when we arrived, it was also cleaned everyday, thank you very much RF for doing that. The location was excellent, convenience stores, restaurants and food outlets nearby. A good walk to the MRT station. Very hospitable and good staff. The lobby was an excellent place to rest, chill out and eat your take aways.

There isn't anything I did not like.

Location is great if you're up for a shopping trip. Otherwise there are MRT and bus stations nearby. In the little streets around are a lot of little restaurants and shops too. The staff is very friendly and most seem to speak English too. The room cleaners and the guys at the entrance are just great. There's a lounge/dining room with water and a microwave. Very comfortable space. The room itself is very comfortable. The duvet is a fluffy cloud which is the best I ever had.

The lamps next to the bed were hanging so low, I hit my head several times.

I was very skeptical because of the comments I read. The room was clean and very organized, 7th floor has free snacks and drinks. Location near to supermarkets, restaurants, mrt, buses, coffee shops, bakeries, etc.

Unfortunately, the first floor can be very smelly when you are waiting for the elevator.

Location is excellent. There are lots of restaurants and convenience stores nearby. You can easily find a place for breakfast or night snacks. There is even a supermarket in a 5-minutes walk. The surrounding area is quiet. There is no daily room service but you can always ask for it if you need one. There is also self serviced laundry in the building and laundry shop nearby. There is also a bank downstairs you can have currency exchange. 5-mins walk to nearby railway station. Sink is outside bathroom which is super convenient. We can wash hands and brush teeth anytime.

Lots of mosquitoes. We complaint and the staff arranged some cleanup and spray and I think the problem is much improved afterwards. The Wi-Fi is a bit slow. The water tap and toilet flush are noisy especially at night when it’s so quiet.
