The name says it all - charming. The hotel is built with many fine details that give a very cozy atmosphere. The hotel is quite old and has probably been renovated several times, but the original atmosphere has been preserved. The location is perfect for sightseeing in Taipei as it is very close to the red line of the subway, which gives access to many attractions, and near Taipei 101, Taipei's famous landmark. The staff at the hotel is simply fantastic. They do everything they can to ensure that guests have a good experience. Sometimes there are free snacks and drinks and one day we were surprised with a free evening meal with wine. Taipei Charming City Hotel really gives value for money.

Really nice place, large rooms, comfortable bed, quiet (rooms are from 6th floor up), efficient A/C, kettle, fridge, big bathroom and very fast WiFi, there was separate router for my room. Helpful staff. Well located, next to Red Line MRT station and walking distance to Taipei 101 building.

Some parts could be renovated, mainly corridor and elevators, room was in better shape. Breakfast was large, with reasonable selection of food, but some ready-made sandwiches were not up to my taste.

This is an average small hotel but it is comfortable and we’ve got all our needs. Breakfast is not lavish but enough to start your day and it is complimentary anyway. We love the coffee machine and the kids loves the free snacks that is available 24 hours. What’s also great in this hotel are the staffs that are so helpful. Especially the young gentleman at the reception (sorry, I forgot his name) He is always smiling and goes above and beyond. He is definitely an asset to the hotel. Location is also superb! Will definitely recommend!

The room was incredibly beautiful. I really didn’t expect to enter in such a great and big room with a wonderful view of Taipei. The staff at the reception was very kind and I really had no problems. You can also seat in the hall and have a free coffee/drink plus a few snacks. Position is great and just two minutes far from Xinyi Ahne station. Also Taipei 101 is really close. I would definitely come back!! Thanks!

The only negative thing was that during shower the water wasn’t draining correctly, so a puddle formed.

We had a wonderful experience at this hotel. The staff were friendly and welcoming throughout our stay. The room was very comfortable, and the bathroom was spotless and well-maintained. Breakfast was a highlight each morning, with a good variety of fresh options that changed daily. I also really appreciated the complimentary snacks and beverages—it was a thoughtful touch that made the stay even more enjoyable. Highly recommended!

Amazing location and easy to find. The lifts were a little small for a pushchair and luggage but it was ok. The room was a good size, the receptionist was nice. There was renovations happening in the reception area which wasn’t shared and I was concerned about noise but I couldn’t hear a thing in my room! The bed was comfy but the lights were a little tricky to figure out - they were controlled by a console that I wasn’t told about so had to call reception and ask about it and the console wasn’t too responsive. Otherwise, the hotel was good and the location really was fantastic!

Loved the free snacks and drinks available. Breakfast was even packaged if you wanted to take it with you. Only 5 mins walk from MRT station and easy connection to the train to/from the Airport. Twin Rooms were a good size and comfortable for 2 people.

The staff were very accommodating and the rooms were always maintained. We especially liked the location of the hotel to the tourist spots in Taipei City, which made the trip hassle-free.

Everything was always kept clean but the toilet seemed to have a strong odor. But it was bearable though we hope it gets fixed soon!

Location is just Perfect. A big variety of restaurants around the hotel, public transportation next to the hotel.

The hotel itself is a bit old fashioned, but in the end it’s ok. If something is not working, the staff is helping anytime.

The friendly staff, decent breakfast, availability of snacks, coffee & water from hotel pantry throughout the stay, wonderful location -nearby the metro station, and walking distance to most places including 101 Taipei
