The location and grounds are stunning. It is very quiet, but if more action just head to Phuket for a night or 2. Simple. The beach is gorgeous very swimable, nice sand, no rocks. Highly recommend this hotel and will definitely return.

The hotel is a little old but it is very clean, the staff are friendly and very helpful, the location is excellent. As a family we enjoyed our stay at Bay Front, the breakfasts were good, and the other food and drinks at the resort were very reasonably priced. The hotel is located on a private beach and right next die to the rain forest, it is very peaceful and beautiful. We would definitely return to this hotel if we return to Khoa Lak.

The rubbish that washes up in the beach when it is a little stormy. We spent time picking up as much as we could but it is a never ending task. The hotels should club together and clean the beach and surrounding area on a regular basis.

My stay was very good. The room is very big and spacious. The equipment is a bit old, but still well maintained and very clean and tidy everything. I had 2 beds in the room and both were rather not so comfortable for me. But no problem - I got an extra topper for the mattress, so it was more comfortable. Both the staff and the cleaners were very friendly and attentive. Beautiful, well-kept and green grounds with 2 pools. Beach right outside the door. I loved staying there in the evenings and enjoying the sound of the sea before going to sleep :) The food in the hotel restaurant was amazing. And great beach bars right next door. A little outside the center, about 20 minutes walk. But the first bars and mini shops can be reached after about 10 minutes on foot. Khao Lak is a beautiful place with a very special flair. I felt very comfortable and would book again :)

Attractive resort on a beautiful beach in Koh Lak. It was extremely clean even if a little dated but still a nice Thai classical feel with pretty tropical gardens. The beachfront bungalow was spacious with a large bathroom and a stunning uninterrupted view of the beach. The location was great, quiet and relaxing but still close to other restaurants and beachfront bars and the walk into town was only 20 minutes. Service was friendly & professional. The 2 pools were nice with sea-view and there were sunloungers also facing the beach.

Where this resort is let down is the breakfast and the bar area. The breakfast was so unappealing that we hardly wanted to eat there. The oil used for the omelette & cooked food had a horrible aftertaste and the selection of pastry was scarce. There was no real coffee, only very bad filtered coffee. The bar next to the pool had no atmosphere, little decor and white plastic chairs. The margarita cocktails were quite terrible and obviously not made by a barman. We always went next door for cocktails after this. Such a shame these areas let this resort down so much as it really is a lovely place to stay.

Location in front of a beautiful beach and a short walk to the city. The resort is well integrated in the surrounding nature. Breakfast with good diversity. Quietness of our room. The bar had good cocktails and friendly staff.

The resort needs some urgent renovation, starting with the decrepit reception with hardly beaten furniture and zero information for the guests, no maps, tour offers, suggestions, nothing. Receptionists lacks some english and professional skills, you don't feel so welcome as in other places we have been. Cleanliness, only happen in the floor, we had a cobweb in the door entry for the 5 days as well as some lack of cleaning in the walls. Fridge was completely rusty and dirty. They had a nice Orchid garden, but now is abandoned. Nothing that made our stay less comfortable, but it's sad to see such a lovely resort going on negligent maintenance.

We were a group of 4 friends spending some holidays days before our dive-trip! We got upgraded, so that our rooms are next to each other and accessible - awesome! The service is friendly and helpful and the staff always comes with a smile! Also the massage area is stunning and the massages are so relaxing! We really enjoyed our stay and we will definitely come back when we plan our next dive trip!

The prices of the Restaurant are massively high.

really nice beach, location, rooms, facilities and staff. Closest Minimart/7-eleven was 1km away. The food in the restaurant was. Oils but not much to choose from, good though that there were other restaurants only meters away. The breakfast was good but the chef who made Omelettes was extremely cranky every single day. Other than him all other staff were super friendly helpful and sweet. Would definitely come back!

The breakfast choices were extremely diverse, tasty and nutritious. The staff in all areas of the resort were super friendly and helpful. The location of our room was perfect, right in the heart of it all. The resort itself is close to the main street for shopping, tattooing, massages and eating.

The bed was a little uncomfortable and the room was a little noisy at times as it backed onto a service area.

Staff was amazing; super friendly and helpful. Room was spacious and clean. Excellent breakfast options. Having 2 pools to choose from was nice as well a beach front. Ride to town centre (shopping, ATM, restaurants, etc.) was a short tuk tuk ride away or very walkable distance. Good spa services.

Sometimes difficult to get lounge chairs by the pool or beach front as guests would set out their “orange beach towels” very early in the am to “reserve” them, and would leave them vacant for a good part of the day, however the resort staff did their best to minimize this from happening.

Nice resort on the waterfront. Very quiet at this time of year but staff still helpful and attentive. It's a reasonable walk from the main area but there are other resorts along the beach if you want to try different bars and restaurants.

Not all of the resort was open but it is a quiet time of year so not unexpected. Would be wise to have your own transport if staying for a long period of time, we were fine as only stayed a few nights.
