Big rooms with good air con. Brilliant location, 2 minutes from all the bars/restaurants. Don’t be put off about bad reviews about bathrooms, mine was peeling paint in some places but it was nothing too bad!

Nothing - what I expected from a budget hotel

Blu Monkey is a boutique hotel chain that has various hotels in various locations in Southern Thailand. The premise lived up to the expectation since it has always received great review from travelers. The location of the hotel on the Phi Phi Island might require some walking from the pier and the hotel is not particularly next to the beach. However, the good thing is that the hotel is pretty secluded from the noisy and busy walking street and it is just an easy 200 m walk to the closest beach. It is also on the street which lead you the the famous Phi Phi Viewpoint. What I like that most about the hotel though is their friendly staff. The receptionist was very helpful and help us arrange a one-day trip to the nearby Maya Bay and the surrounding area. The room is quite basic with all the amenities that you need but what I like most is they give you a glass bottle which you can refill your water from the water tank outside your room. Great for the environment indeed ! Overall, I definitely recommends this hotel. The price that I pay is a bit mid-range but in my opinion, you get more that you pay.

There is a construction going on next to the hotel at the moment. Although there is no noise that irritates us, the fences erected around the construction sites block our view.

I had a fantastic stay at this hotel! The location was absolutely perfect—just a short walk to the beach and right near the heart of the village, making it easy to explore local shops, restaurants, and attractions. The room was spacious and well-appointed, with a wonderfully comfortable bed that ensured a great night’s sleep. The air conditioning was excellent, keeping the room cool and refreshing even during the warmest parts of the day. I also appreciated the thoughtful amenities, including fresh towels that were replaced daily and a convenient hairdryer. One of the most delightful aspects of this hotel was its charming monkey-themed decor. It added a playful and unique touch to the ambiance, making the stay even more enjoyable. Overall, I highly recommend this hotel for its prime location, comfortable accommodations, and charming character. I would definitely stay here again!

The rooms were great, bed comfortable and location central but outside of the noisy area. The receptionist Champoo made our stay even more special. Really looked after us. The boat trip booked through the hotel was fantastic. Slightly more expensive than booking on the beach for a private trip, but well worth it , the boat captain knew the best spots and helped us take some great pictures and videos !

Not much. Only thing would be that the shower leaks into the bathroom and would prefer a kettle in the room rather than shared areas.

I had an excellent stay at Blu Monkey! The room was nice, the A.C was great, and the staff were kind and helpful. It is also very close to the viewpoint hike. Would definitely recommend this hotel!

The only thing I didn't like was that there was a bit of an alley to get to the hotel that got pretty dark at night and didn't have many people around, so it wasn't the best walking alone (though I never had any problems). This is maybe only a consideration for female solo travellers, but everything else was awesome! If anyone could put more lighting near that area, it might help travellers feel more safe at night (but it's probably not hotel property, so may be beyond their control).

The layout of the property means some rooms are literally in reception. This means you get noise in the mornings once reception opens plus potential noise from people entering the hotel late at night. I was also right next to the street so extra street noise as well but with good earplugs it was ok

I had an amazing experience staying at this hotel. The service provided by Chompoo and Ma, Leem was exceptional. They were always smiling, welcoming, and ready to assist with any requests. Their friendliness and attention to detail made me feel right at home. The room was clean and comfortable, and the facilities were well-maintained. Overall, this hotel offers not only a beautiful environment but also outstanding service from the staff. I highly recommend this hotel and look forward to returning again!

Friendly staff, very clean and great location - very close to everything including Ezi wash, viewpoints, 8pm fire show at Slinky bar, multiple beaches in close proximity and so many great places to eat and drink! Island hoping by long boat is a must and so great to return back to Blu Monkey. Also love it that there are no cars on the island, there are lots of cute cats.

It was a bit farther to get to but it forced us the explore more of Phi Phi. One sad thing is that we ran out of time to get a tattoo from one of the many tattoo shops.

Great location for being close to everything yet be outside the noise. The rooms are also very clean and good, and the lady at the reception was very nice and helpfull.

The bathroom was a bit old, and we were told to wait for entering our rooms till check in time at 14:00 but at 15:00 they were still cleaning and we had to wait. but furthermore everthing was perfect

There's no "hang out" space other than the hotel lobby Room on the ground floor had a window that looked straight out onto a wall, so no natural light in the room Not the hotel's fault, but there's what smells like an open sewer 100m down the road which smells awful as you walk past to get to the hotel (can't smell it inside the rooms though)
