"Chaweng" and "upmarket boutique hotel" aren't two concepts that go together naturally. But that's exactly what the Library is - a small, classy beachfront boutique hotel with large rooms and outstanding outdoor areas, located in central Chaweng.

Each room is a suite, containing a large bedroom plus a separate lounge area. The downside of the lounge areas is that they are configured part-indoor part-outdoor, meaning that they're not air-conditioned. The bedrooms are air-conditioned whereas the separate lounges aren't, which isn't ideal in a climate as hot and humid as Samui's.

Loud Israelis around the pool area .They are rude to the employees and other customer as if they owned the place with screaming children they have bad manners.

Nothing major. At night we heard the sound of other party locations. Saturday and sunday some (6) elderly guests were inconsiderate about other guests by reserving the sunbeds with their towels and bags despite not being around. This, however, has nothing to do with the hotel but the rudeness of the guests. Maybe a policy could prevent such behavior?

I love this place. It is my happy place. I always leave, wanting to stay more! This was my 3rd time there, and I hope to be there for my fourth really soon. The food is amazing! The staff are always awesome. Stay in the hidden rooms if you can! The staff are so friendly and helpful! They go out of their way to make you feel special. Ask them, and they will look after you with whatever you need! It's right on the beach, too, and the beach beds are the best on the island. The red pool is a landmark now. The food is Micheline star quality in my opinion. and I have been to several star resturants

I believe there were a few flys and moths in my room due to the drought on the island, but I think it is not the hotel's fault. Some beach clubs are nearby now, so occasionally, you hear some bass at night. The air conditioning is still loud and needs to be serviced. I was a little surprised that more wasn't done for my loyalty as a guest. They left a nice note, but that was it, seeing it was my third stay at the resort, and I always stay there, and it is an expensive place. I could have been rewarded just a little for my loyalty, but it is what it is. I am not the one to cause trouble or hassle people, but that could have been improved, and it wouldn't stop me from staying again and again. The place is paradise.

restaurant sometimes very slow. on the "quite" pool there are always guests that are super loud. there is hotel employees there but no one tells them to be more quite

We absolutely loved our stay from the first second on. The check in was really professional and fast. When we arrived the room was very clean and well prepared for us. I loved the design of the room. The breakfast was really good, I am a total breakfast person so during all our stay I tried so many delicious options. We also tried the restaurant for lunch and dinner and really liked it. The beach area was amazing, always clean and they have very comfy sun beds. And the final and absolutely best part of the stay was the stuff of the hotel. The stuff was so kind, respectful and helpful, they always called us by our names and took care of us so well. especially I will never forget Miss Tik, she is just such a good and positive person that totally loves her job, I really hope to meet her again in my life. we were really sad when our time was over. they are renovating some of the rooms right now, we didn’t hear any noise to be honest, all of that was handled really professional and it’s nice to see that after the Covid crises the hotel finally can continue with its work. My boyfriend and me definitely don’t understand the criticism of some other guests ( I mean everyone is different sure) but they are really doing everything to improve and we should not forget that the past 3 years were quite hard for the hotel industry. we really can’t wait to come back! thank you for everything.

Excellent location, good amenities, beautiful design

Shower water temperature intermittently cold and very hot. Noisy sound of dripping water from air conditioner in room. Renovation and maintenance required.

- The breakfast was absolutely the best – freshly prepared food served right on the terrace next to the beach. - The staff were extremely friendly and attentive, and the hotel itself felt very welcoming. - The room service was amazing, with everything perfectly cleaned and tidied up each day.

- Some of the buildings could use renovation from the outside, as I noticed a bit of rust on the metal parts and some faded facade paint. However, overall the entire property is very well maintained, tidy, and clean.

Amazing design concept, especially the red pool, and overall aesthetics of minimalism. The beach front with comfortable sunbeds and friendly staff. Overall small details that make you feel this place is special.

It definitely needs some makeup renewal, condition of the environment is pretty “tired”. The food is amazing on the looks but can’t state the same of the taste. And the last tip for the Content Team: it was a personal disappointment that a place called “The Library” doesn’t have a book-crossing initiative or an opportunity to buy-out the books.

Everything. Since the moment you arrive they receive you with a pretty nice vibe and they offer you a sorbet, soda and a cold towel to refresh. The room was so beautiful, it was big, clean and really comfortable. The pools and the beach beds are really great. And the view is so relaxing. The food in the restaurant was delicious too. The staff is really welcoming and gentle.

The only thing I didn’t like was that the pool was way too cold. It was little bit cloudy and windy so I barely stay there for more than 10 min.
