Big rooms, amazing location and pool.

The hotel needs a remodel everything is outdated , and needs a fresh coat of paint badly . And the windows from the outside need cleaning (we were on the top floor and the window was very dirty with bird poo on it )

Great view from 23 rd floor of Chang mai city also we got 2free cocktails each everyday at 1800hrs also 2 side dishes each at brunch after 1100 hrs if you missed your breakfast was handy , our room was spacious and plenty of room , some staff were very helpful we did get a last minute deal and was slashed 40% off the original price thank you booking.com

Breakfast area had a good selection if you was Chinese/Korean diners ,you could get a rolled omelette and a fried egg but no bacon Reception was very badly organised as the staff were very slow checking in and departure there was 1 staff on and a queue of over 20 in the queue trying to check out Also the pool was ice cold but could of been warmed a little for the time of year my partner braved it and did get her swim as I alway like a pool for

After staying in many different hotels in the area, I chose Duangtawan Hotel mostly due to the free onsite parking garage and included breakfast. The room was spacious, with a separate alcove for a desk/working area and large bathroom with both a tub and stand-up shower. The room had nice wood furniture that was in good condition, with a separate closet, refrigerator and flat screen TV. The room itself along with the bathroom was clean and well-maintained, as were the public spaces such as lobby, reception, restaurants, shops and bars . The location is excellent - just a couple of minutes walk to both the night bazaar and Anusorn market. The included breakfast exceeded my expectations - the restaurant is huge with a vast array of good buffet items as well as a few cook-to-order stations. All of the staff we encountered were very welcoming and friendly. We'll stay here again in the future.

Like many of the area hotels of this age, maintenance in some of the areas could be improved. In this case, the carpet in the hallway of our upper floor was in bad shape, but this didn't really detract from the enjoyment of our stay.

The hotel was spacious and clean with good views from the upper floors. The breakfast was excellent with lots of choice and a great egg station. Bacon was burnt to a crisp US style but when I asked they cooked it properly so it was soft. Location was a little far from the old city but close to the excellent night markets. The hotel could be seen a long way away which meant navigating to it was easy.

Check in took a long time and staff took ages to see to customers ahead of us.

The location is fantastic - walking distance to night markets. street eateries and bazaars, and China Town. The room was large and very clean. The included breakfast was simply amazing - every taste catered to and plentiful. A lot of options. Concierge staff were very helpful and pleasant to deal with. We would definitely stay here again!

Our floor, compared to others, looked a little tired and need of updates. We had advised the hotel we would be arriving between 4 & 5pm and got there at this advised timeband. Rooms weren't ready and we were asked to wait around until housekeeping advised that the rooms were available. Sign at Reception clearly stated check in time was 2pm. This was not really good enough after a travel day to get to this location. It was only at our insistence that our rooms were hurried along and we weren't greatly inconvenienced - but this was a poor start to our stay. It was clear the reception staff were under pressure and busy.

Great location near the night market and plenty of restaurants. The room was large with a great view. Breakfast was great with lots of options and the food was well done. The pool and workout room was great as well.

The bed was a little hard. The windows were very dirty but I understand since the air quality was poor outside. The door to the room was very thin. I could hear very clearly when someone in another room was taking a shower or talking inside.

Great Location! It’s just steps away from the Chiang Mai Night Bazaar. There’s a pharmacy and a 7-11 across the street. There’s also laundry services across the street. The breakfast buffet at the hotel was very good. I like that they had some different dishes every day in addition to the standard dishes. They had a fruit station, omelette station, Thai station (that had rice porridge and all the toppings, curries, Thai soups, stir fry, etc.), pancakes, bacon, miso soup, breads and pastries, juices, etc. Everything was tasty.

When I went into the hotel room, there was an opened water bottle in the fridge. I let the cleaning staff know and she replaced it right away and was apologetic. I can’t complain though… It was great value for the amenities and the location. The staff was also nice. I would definitely stay here again!!

great fitness centre. loved firm bed. cable tv not good sleep timer didn’t work. very few staff on hand and very little english spoken. but restaurant staff still the same after many years👍

the gym should be cleaned regularly i could see after my 7 days the same buts if dirt. long wait to check in when it was correct check in time. no rooms were ready at 1400☹️

Wow, it's an absolutely fabulous hotel. Love all the staff. The room on the 22 floor is so big and so comfortable. Large shower and bath tub. Daily cleaning. Great views from my room. Nightlife abounds. Lots to do inside and out. Delicious food. Particularly I had a mango smoothie every day in the downstairs bar. Hotel can get very busy. I was there during the full moon festival.

Breakfast can be a push and shove. Everyone rushing about finding a table. I was pushed off the first two. Get in early

+ Many amenities, nice big pool, quite well equipped gym + Good Price-Value + Lots of choice at breakfast, especially the omelette was nice + Big room after free upgrade + was much better than the bad rating had me fear + Did a great job hosting the conference I visited there + It seems like the stuff mentioned in negative reviews gets taken serious (to me staff was friendly, room and dishes/cutlery were clean and even cleaned in front of the customers eyes in the breakfast room)

- As mentioned everything is a little old/run down - The Western options at breakfast were bad (not that I wanted to have any) and the rest was a bit repetitive
