I stayed at iWualai for two nights and really like its simplicity. After an intense period of travel, I was looking for a comfortable place to rest, and this hotel provided just that. As a solo traveler, I found the room spacious and cozy. The staff were exceptionally friendly and even remembered my name when I went for breakfast the next morning, a small detail, but one that made my stay feel more personal and welcoming. While the hotel is on the smaller side and doesn’t have a full-service restaurant beyond breakfast, they offer complimentary snacks, coffee, tea, and mineral water, which I found to be a nice touch. The breakfast selection was excellent. I had noodles with green curry, which was incredibly delicious. They also provide other options, including bread, salad, and fresh fruit. I highly recommend staying at iWualai!

We stayed at this hotel and everything was truly exceptional from start to finish. The location is fantastic, super convenient and perfect for exploring the area. Every morning we enjoyed a delicious and varied breakfast, thoughtfully prepared and absolutely top-notch. But what truly made our stay unforgettable was the staff – incredibly helpful, kind, and welcoming. A special shoutout to Elly and Mjanee( and the staff in general), who went above and beyond to make us feel at home with their warmth and professionalism. One moment we’ll never forget: my sister celebrated her birthday during our stay, and the staff surprised her with flowers, a birthday cake, and even sang her Happy Birthday all together. It was such a touching and beautiful gesture that meant the world to us. Highly recommended in every way. We will definitely be back!

The staff were very nice—definitely one of the highlights of this hotel. Breakfast was good 👍. As others have mentioned, the free unlimited water and coffee were a great touch. The location is excellent, especially if you're planning to visit Walking Street. The beds and pillows were super comfortable—we had a great night's sleep. We stayed in Room 105. I saw a previous comment saying it was too loud, but it was quiet during our stay. It probably depends on the other guests at the time. Ample parking is available, which is a big plus in the downtown area where parking can be hard to find.

Clean and spacious room, comfortable bed, extra seating in the room, very good breakfast, exceptionally friendly staff, good location, lots of beautifully arranged plants around the pool. I also loved the constant complimentary supply of drinking water in glass bottles and available snacks and tea/coffee during the day.

The pool ist very small and squeezed between the buildings with only 4 sunbeds since the space is so tiny. I could enjoy it anyway. But the cleanliness around the pool must be improved. The tiles around were very dirty on the first day of my visit and got dirtier every day. It looked like the terrace hasn’t been moped for weeks.

The room was clean and the property felt safe, which was really important for me as a solo female traveler. The staff were helpful and polite, and everything was as expected in terms of comfort and service.

One downside was the breakfast — it wasn’t very vegetarian- or halal-friendly, but I appreciated that there were some fresh fruits available, which was a nice touch. There was also a coffee machine and free drinking water, which came in handy.

Great location, especially for the Wua Lai Walking Street Saturday Night Market. Also close to the town square and many tours will pick you up from the hotel. Tucked back just a little, so it’s quiet. The breakfast was great and different everyday. Coffee was available all day. An abundance of cold water to drink and keep in the hotel fridge, plus a water filling station for water bottles. Bedding was soft, lots of pillows and a nice comforter. The staff was so kind and friendly. Laundry service was available and affordable. I loved staying here and hope to be back one day!

The location was fantastic, we were able to walk and felt very safe. The room was large and the beds were comfy and we had the addition of a balcony. The breakfast was fresh and there were lots of choices. I loved the availability of cold water from both glass bottles as well as the water cooler, much more environmentally friendly! The pool and staff were lovely. It was a fantastic place to stay.

The wifi in the rooms was a bit spotty, but by the pool it was fine.

Great price, breakfast and staff. One extra space outside the french windows is nice. Location is good, a Saturday night market is nearby but you may encounter traffic gams if you take a taxi back during peak hours. The traditional market not far away provides foods, dry indredint and nice picture sources.

It would be easier if there is a handheld shower head. Air condition was sightly smell, open the window solved. The night light is a bit bright.

I ended up spending 7 nights in this lovely hotel. The care they put into the hotel is in many details. For example, they always come up with something new at breakfast. The portion of food and choices are never excessive. It’s a nice balance. The lobby, where the breakfast is served, is facing the outdoor pool. 24-hour free coffee/tea/snacks/banana are on the big table. It in a way feels like your home kitchen, especially when you come downstairs early in the morning to make yourself a coffee. I would definitely recommend it to my friends and family who visit Chiang Mai.

very friendly clerks, nice breakfast, they change every morning for different dishes which is nice. location is great, night market, 7-11 massage around. close to Chiang mai gate.

the water in the bath room are not good, if the water temperature is ok ,the the water is too small. if the water comes out proper, then the water temperature was too high..... very difficult to use the bathroom.
