Lovely little aparthotel with lovely,kind and helpful staff. The rooms were clean, and the beds were very comfortable with two types of pillows to choose from. It's self check in after 4 pm. The rooms come with a large fridge, sink and microwave in a kitchen like area. There is also a hairdryer in the bathroom. We also adored the little touches of this place, like the small free breakfast bar and the little basket of hair ties and umbrellas for guests. Bottles of water and toilet paper are left at our door by the house maid every day, which we really appreciate.

The only downside really to Jiang Mai 81 is that there is no elevator. We were lucky to be staying on the first floor, but those who have luggage would have to track up flights of stairs. There was also a smell from the sink in the bathroom.

The room is overlooking the street so I was worried it would be noisy from motorcycles but because it's the end of the street I didn't hear anything. It was very quiet which is the most important thing for me. There's also one room per floor so that reduce noise even more. There are a few good places in the street to eat and get coffee too, it's mostly simple hostels all over the street. The staff was nice. The ac was good and the condenser is far from the bedroom so I didn't hear it. Internet speed was good. No annoying birds at 5 in the morning. Big room. Overall I'll probably take it again.

The large bed is worn out a bit and not comfortable, it's a simple springs bed. The small bed though was comfortable. There was a slight smell in the bathroom. There's no eleavator. No option to pay cash to extend for more nights. Some sunlight light comes from above the blinds. The windows make cracking noises around 9 in the morning probably from getting heated from the sun, it was a bit annoying.

I was in room 3. Room is very spacious. Although the room is facing the street and the windows aren't soundproof, because it's the end of the street I didn't hear any motorcycles. And because on every floor there's only one room, I didn't hear anything from the hallway either. The AC condenser is far from the bedroom so you don't hear it. There are several places to eat and drink on this street and there's a club also (which is far so you can't hear it) but you have to have a motorcycle because it's a bit far from everything. The AC is cooling the room very well.

The big bed was very uncomfortable and used but the small bed was good and new. There was smell in the bathroom but it didn't bother me much. At around 9-10 AM the sun is hitting the windows and because they're made out of metal they make cracking noises which woke me up on some mornings.

It's a very large apartment with plenty of space including a bedroom area, a living room area, a kitchen and even a balcony. It's modern and very clean. It's also super quiet which is great to recharge and have a peaceful night. It's conveniently located just a few steps away from the old city.

The shower heater wasn't functionning very well and therefore the water was never warm enough which spoiled a little bit the shower experience.

Very low key accommodation. Each floor is a different room so there’s very little guests actually staying here at a time. We really liked this. It was always quiet no matter the time. The street is a side street off the main road and there’s a ton of other hostels. The location is perfect for quick access to old town and the night market around the corner. The beds were comfortable and the rooms spacious. We liked it so much we extended our stay. The internet is great for remote workers there’s multiple extenders. The maid stays on property till 5:00pm and she’s very kind! She was always attentive and asking if we needed anything. Every morning you’ll find a lite breakfast bar with cereal, snacks, and coffee. We checked in late so we just picked up our keys and walked up to our room. A/C in the rooms are always welcoming to come home too. Our room had a kitchenette with a microwave. Very useful.

Great directions to the property. We were received kindly by a lady who is in the building for the day and care takes. The room was spacious and had all we needed. The beds were comfy.

The bathroom had mould and all taps were working but not fixed. The kitchen provisions (cutlery/crockery) were very sparse. The location compared to other areas in 'old' Chiang Mai is not fantastic but at walkable distance.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at Jiang Mai 81 hotel, and I couldn't be happier with my experience. From the moment I arrived, the cleaner was extremely friendly and welcoming. She went above and beyond to make sure that my room was clean and comfortable, and she always had a smile on her face. One of the things I appreciated most about my stay was the excellent communication via WhatsApp. The staff was always quick to respond to any questions or concerns I had, and they were always willing to go the extra mile to make sure that I was satisfied. The hotel itself was also top-notch. The room was spacious and well-appointed, and the amenities were top-notch. The location was also great, with many restaurants and shops nearby. Overall, my stay at Jiang Mai 81 hotel was a true pleasure, and I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a comfortable and enjoyable stay in the area. We really like the hospitality of the staff. The lady taking care of the place was always friendly, helpful and even gave our small child a gift. The room is spacious, clean and the location is amazing. Very close to the old city and many nice restaurants.

I'd like if the room had a stove or cooktop and maybe other small appliances to cook. Also, one day we had a bad smell coming from the air conditioner, but I suppose it was something outside of the building.
