The staff were exceptional - very attentive and helpful. James was especially helpful if we had any questions. The room was very good and the bed was the expected very firm mattress - we like this type. There was a full-sized fridge, kettle, coffee, efficient air conditioner, body wash and shampoo provided. Extra pillows were available upon request. We requested rooms close together as our Granddaughter had her own room booked. The hotel were very kind and upgraded her (as they had availability) so she could be next door to us. The pool area was kept clean and tidy, we enjoyed a few bottles of Chang outside in the late afternoon after a hot day sightseeing. We sat inside the dining area early one evening but were bitten quite a few times by large black striped mosquitoes. We used local DEET deterrent after that. The location of the hotel was very convenient for Tha Pae Gate, Chinatown and river. Just outside of the old city wall. If we go back to Chiang Mai, we would be happy to stay here again.

Nothing to seriously dislike but We did have some drain smell from the shower drain. This was sorted out very quickly. There wasn't a great view from the balcony of our room. The place across the street was gutted for refurbishment so it was understandably untidy and a building site. However, there was no noise disturbance and the workmen were very friendly.

We loved everything about this property! We arrived late at night and was greeted by the lovely James at reception who talked us through everything about the hotel, he was so welcoming and made us feel at home straight away! His English was also great! We were also upgraded and had a beautiful room with a balcony which was lovely after our long day of travel. The hotel itself has a family charm about it and feels very relaxed. The pool area is lovely and was great to relax around after a long day walking around in the heat. All the staff are very attentive and serve you drinks around the pool which was a lovely touch.

There’s nothing we didn’t like about this property, we will be staying here next time we come to chiang mai!

The staff are extremely lovely - friendly and helpful. We stayed in 2 adjoining rooms, the rooms each had a small balcony over looking the pool. The rooms were spotlessly clean and were a good size. The hotel has a nice peaceful atmosphere but is also in a location close to the market streets - either a 20 ish minute walk or you can get there in 3 minutes by getting a moped taxi or hire your own moped, which is very easy to do and the reception staff give you directions where you can hire one. The hotel felt safe and secure

The pool was very chilly but we were there early summer so perhaps it warms up

We had a wonderful stay at Chiangmai Boutique Lodge. Staff were extremely friendly, as soon as we arrived they gave us a map and discussed the policies of the lodge and the area of Chiangmai with us. They were extremely accommodating, taking luggage up to our room once it was ready and cleaning our room at times preferable to us. The location was very handy and easy to navigate, especially as Chiangmai is a very walkable city. We also used the laundry service which was reasonably priced and very efficient. The aircon and shower both worked very well and the bed was comfortable - staff will change pillows if needed We had a fantastic stay here - thank you!

Wonderful staff who helped us boom an excursion to see elephants, raft, and go to the sticky waterfalls. The receptionist also gave us a map and explained all of the things to do. The breakfast was convenient and delicious as well. It was also easy to walk to the main parts of the city. They also helped us book a taxi to the airport, and when I forgot my credit card in the taxi they reached out to me via what’s app to let me know. At that point it was too late for me to get it so they cut it up for me and sent me a picture. Such great customer service. I travel a lot and give it my highest recommendation. It

Our room was perfect for our stay with a little baby,in that the bed was in a separate room from the living space so we could put him to bed and stay up. Clean and spacious. The hotel staff are super friendly and professional.

The hotel flooded. This had never happened before and it was the worst flooding chiang mai had ever seen. We were reassured on multiple occasions by the hotel before coming that it had never flooded and we should still come. Despite this, the staff were so helpful and got us and our baby and luggage out promptly and safely. I would go back to this hotel in future if I was in chiang mai in a different season!

The lodge is our go-to place in Chiang Mai . It is ideally located , being a 10 minute walk from the Thai Phae Gate and near to lots of great restaurants, a laundry, and 7 Eleven. The staff are brilliant, always friendly and helpful. We have stayed several times, and the standards have been maintained over the years. The pool is clean, and there are plenty of sunbeds. We look forward to our next stay.

Staff at the hotel were wonderful. Everyone was extremely kind and helpful. A special 'thank you' goes to James whose friendliness and great advice is exceptional. I'd also like to mention that as a gay couple we were treated with utmost respect by all staff. The hotel is quite beautifully designed and our room was spacious, pretty and comfortable. The pool area is a lovely place to relax and cool down after a day's sightseeing or a late night out.

We liked almost everything, only the pillows are quite thick and very hard which was a little uncomfortable. Didn't keep us from sleeping though. And it would be nice if breakfast had an additional rice-based choice like fried rice or porridge.

The staf was very helpful and welcoming. The minute I stepped in I felt welcome. The room was spacious and the beds were comfortable. The hotel has a good location, close to old city and chinatown so we mostly walked everywhere. We had breakfast only once, it was good value, plenty and well thought with multiple options.

The room, the furniture, the bathroom and the design was old and it was becoming obvious that the room at least needs a new paint job. The wifi was not good, at least from the room so I had to use my mobile but this is a minor inconvenience for me.

The people that work there all make it exceptional. Out of all the hotels we stayed at in thailand we felt the most welcome here. It’s close to the old city and is on a quiet street. The breakfast is also very affordable and made with love.

The hotel is clean, convenient and friendly. But it is an older style building and interior - If they would refurbish and renovate it would be a 4-5 star hotel with the service the provide. However, that’s also why it is affordable right now. So a bit of a catch 22.
