Lanna hostel was really good value for money and the private room was the perfect budget friendly option for a couple. The location was great and we enjoyed that we were close to both the old city and the night bazaar. Having towels and free water provided is also always nice!

Our bathroom sink had hair in it when we arrived and the toilet hadn’t been cleaned. Our friends in the dorm room also mentioned that their beds weren’t very comfy

The place was very nice and they took good care of it. Theu offer unlimited bottled water, tea and coffee, that it's a good treat for everyone. I stayed 3 night and in the second day, they changed my towels, I had shower gel, shampoo and conditioner, things that in Thailand it's not offered usually. Thank you for a lovely stay

They had an English person to respond to messages. The staff spoke a little English. Hot water, A/C, fans, balcony with a bench, great location, just simple, no green walls. No place to hang clothes...so I kept everything tidy in my suitcase and on the table. No desk or wardrobe, but everything else was just perfect. I've stayed in a lot of budget hotels, this was the best, really. There is a communal fridge on 2nd floor and free water. The Thai staff even helped me book a bus to Chiang Rai (but don't do that...just pay at bus station).

The private room.is small and shower room tight

It's cheap and cheerful. For the price you can't complain but don't expect the luxury of the more upmarket hostels. If you're trying to save money and just want a bed with clean facilities then it's great. The staff here were warm and welcoming and the place was clean.

I stayed at The Cabin around the corner which is double the price but there's a big difference in what you get. The shared dorm is very small here, the rooms just fit the beds, so cosy is an understatement. I was only here for one night but there was no social side to this hostel which again, if you stay somewhere like The Cabin or Stamps you make many friends and have plenty of space for the night. This is no disrespect to Lanna. It is a great value for money and I would stay again.

Great location, right in the city center on a cute little street. Close to a lot of restaurants. Although we didn’t actually see any staff ( due to the time we checked in and out) they were extremely helpful through messages and made sure we were settled and got everything we needed. The bed was comfy, the bathroom was very small and everything does get quite wet but still overall good. There is a fridge you can leave food and drinks which was convenient and multiple sitting areas

I liked the location of this hostel. Clean sheets and towels. Good value for money

We stayed in a private room 401 the balcony door only locked on one side so tip go out on the balcony and lock the door that comes from the hallway so no one can enter the balcony as they can then go into your room. The staff didn’t speak good English and was hardly around hence why we didn’t report the door situation. Wifi was okay to seen some other hostel goers staying on the floor where the fridge was to work as the router was there.

The neighbourhood was lovely, it was great value for money, the place was clean, met some great people there.

We stayed for 6 days, in that time we only had the same towel we were given on check in, our room was not cleaned we had to buy our own toilet roll, we hardly seen staff to ask them for a fresh towel or to replenish toiletries. The shower was in with the toilet which was a struggle and the room smelt damp.

Every time I come to Chiang Mai Lanna Hostel is always my first choice for accommodation. Although the rooms are smaller than others , they're clean , comfortable , no bad smells, they have everything that you need, ac works well and quiet. There is also a communal seating area with free coffee and tea , a kettle plus a fridge for everyone to use on the 2nd floor. Staff are nice and lanna hostel is located in a small quiet street , but just a 1 min walk from some great bars and restaurants. I will be back there again next time I'm in CNX

Location is perfect, the staff is helpful and the room met our expectations.

The bed was a bit noisy so you hear it with every turn during the night and the room has a glass door to the hall, people can not see through it but light enters a bit. We solved this with eye covers and ear plugs so it was not a big deal for us.
