The host Haim was very welcoming, and attentive to our needs. He is very responsive and helpful if you are new to the island. The staff was friendly and efficient. The standard of the property was very high. The views from the dining area overlooking the sea was fabulous and always makes for a nice inspirational start to your day. The pool area was relaxing and the private wild beach was quite interesting and unique. The location of the property was kind of perfect for us as it was in the centre of the west coast and we explored the north and south part of the island from here. It was also away from noise and had a good amount of nature around it. The resort had a well manicured garden which added to the feeling of being in the nature. Highly recommend and will surely be back.

The Golden Hill Resort was a wonderful place to stay. Incredible view from the lounge and swimming pool, it felt like paradise. The owner Haim is particularly helpful he even gives you his personal WhatsApp number on arrival so the personal service is top-notch. The menu is really lovely.. a fair bit of Middle eastern influence and some really interesting dishes you won't find anywhere else on the island. There's also a tiny little private beach which was great for a morning swim. I actually love this west side of the island going up the coast you have some amazing beach side restaurants to discover, all only 5 - 10 mins away.. I'm coming back next year for longer!..

We spent wonderful two weeks in this resort and enjoyed ourselves every day. It is hard to describe the special vibe this place has, you must experience it :-) Our bungalow was very comfortable, large bathroom. Very good cleaning service each day. The restaurant serves very good meals and provides incredible sea view... OMG, the sunsets!! Always a nice music on the background. Swimming pool is crystal clear, with lots of sunbeds. Haim, the owner, is really nice and helpful, and so are other staff members. Beware however it is not beach resort - there is a small beach accessible, but just for a quick dip, not to relax on (just a warning, we did not mind at all).

The hotel is in a very quiet place with an amazing restaurant and pool view on the sea. It is surrounded by nature. The pool faces the sun all day, and it is a good size. It is great for kids as well. The family bungalow superior is amazing! Full of drawers. It is big, and the beds are super comfortable. Lighting is perfect in the room and in the bathroom. The room comes with a balcony. The owner is super kind and welcoming and makes you feel at home.

Path to the bungalows needs improvement because it can be a bit dangerous, especially for kids and elderly. No kids' menu is available so we couldn't eat in the hotel restaurant and it is a bit too pricey.

Cute houses, especially the deluxe bungalow has a great bed. The staff is all smiles and great service, from restaurant staff to cleaners. The food in the restaurant is top level and a welcome diversity in between all the Thai food. The terrace and pool are lovely. Great atmosphere, very homely!

The bungalows that haven’t been renovated yet do really need the upgrade. Especially considering the price. The good thing is that this is being worked on and incredible service makes up for much! I’d say prices are a tad high in general, however perhaps this is normal for great locations on Koh Pangang.

Amazing Stay at Golden Hill Resort! Golden Hill Resort truly exceeded all our expectations! The location is absolutely stunning—like a slice of paradise, surrounded by lush greenery and breathtaking views. It’s the perfect place to relax and soak in the beauty of nature. The food at the resort is incredible! Every meal we had was delicious, and the prices were very reasonable, making it a fantastic value. Whether you’re craving local dishes or international favorites, their menu has something for everyone. What really made our stay special was the staff. They are so friendly, professional, and always ready to help with a smile. From check-in to check-out, their attention to detail and genuine care made us feel truly welcome. If you’re looking for a peaceful getaway with great food, excellent service, and a dreamy location, Golden Hill Resort is the place to be. Highly recommended!

The cafe, pool, and beach were incredible. The view from the hotel cafe/restaurant itself makes this place the epitome of relaxation. When I came home from whatever vacation activity I was doing, relaxing on this balcony overlooking the sea was the perfect break. The location was also great! There are a few scooter rental shops, scuba dive places, and restaurants immediately near the hotel, and almost every beach or activity was less than 15 minutes away by scooter. Also the service here is amazing! Everyone speaks great English and the owner is so personable and helpful. On the last day, the owner provided me with a free ride to the ferry terminal to go to Koh Samui.

The rooms are a bit basic, but they're comfortable and super clean. This is only a minor downside, the rest of the hotel is WONDERFUL and you totally get the value for your money.

We loved our stay at Golden Hill! The staff is incredible. They are kind, caring and attentive when we need a service. The hotel restaurant has a magnificent view and delicious dishes (You must try the Gaspacho!!). The hotel swimming pool, located below the restaurant, also boasts a breathtaking view; the perfect place to watch the sunset. The hotel also offers room service and a fast, reliable cab service. I'd like to take this opportunity to thank the team once again for making our stay even more unforgettable. A hotel to book with your eyes closed.

The Owner - Haim - made this stay a very pleasant journey. He is fully involved and you can see that he approaches this property with a lot of dedication and passion. The unique view from the pool and the restaurant are truly breathtaking, especially during sunset. The rooms are clean and well equipped for a relaxed stay. The staff is always available to help. I recommend it for people who want to relax and enjoy what the property has to offer during a brief or longer journey.

The only thing lacking is an easy access to the beach. Although there is a small private beach belonging to the hotel, it's not fully enjoyable at it's current state. Renting a scooter solves this, as you might want to explore all beaches of the island anyway.

A fantastic resort! Everything is just right here, from the very friendly, helpful and professional staff, to the cleanliness and furnishings of the bungalows (most of them are flooded with light and have a small kitchenette) and their location amidst palm trees and tropical plants. The food and drinks are excellent. The absolute highlight, however, is the terrace/reception hall, which is open on three sides and offers a spectacular view of the sea and the Mu Ko Ang Thong archipelago and is reminiscent of colonial style with its old, solid wooden furniture and tasteful wooden floorboards. You feel like you've been transported to an old pirate movie.... The pool is also sensational. You climb in, are intoxicated by the breathtaking view and feel like you're in a dream. And if you think you've seen it all when it comes to sunsets, you're in for another surprise. You get there and time stands still...

Like most of the beautiful resorts on the island, this one is a little secluded, but is still on the main road to the north (without you hearing anything from the road) and you can be in Thong Sala in 5 minutes by cab (approx. 100 baht/person), moped or car. The small beach is also beautiful and has plenty of shade, but is very small and, like everywhere else on the island, not suitable for swimming at low tide.
