Nice room, big comfortable bed, great views from the room. I had planned on staying here for longer but opted for another place closer to a yoga studio, and after the fact I should of booked here for the three nights,

The poor and its surroundings, they needed to be cleaned up an restored, very tired looking. Also the water in the pool wouldn't make you want to go for a swim no matter how hot the day is, the pool water is the first thing that needs to be sorted. Apart from that all good. You would need your own transport to stay here comfortably

I liked the resort, the room, and the price! Ice-coffees are so good! It's just nice to be around such a nice resort for a low price. The location is good too, you can be in the centre in 10 mins by scooter. I liked the energy too of the locals managing it.

There needs to be more investment in the maintenance (pools were dirty, air con in the room is noisy). I heard that his resort was very nice in the past but the covid crisis affected them, which is okay and explains the price. It does however feel old, but it gives it a vibe too! You feel inspired because it is a quiet place with not a lot of guests.

The food at Tharatip was tasty, staff were clear with communication, my balcony view of the mountains and sea was lovely, it was mostly a peaceful neighbourhood, and only 10 mins scooter ride from Sri Thanu. They also left it in my hands to say if Iwanted the room cleaned, which suited me well.

A flywire door out to the balcony and soap by the basin would've been nice but to be honest it didn't end up detracting from my pleasurable stay.

The room itself was large and came with decent facilities like a bar fridge, soaps and towels, water etc. My room had a good view of the sea. Staff were very helpful on the occasion I asked for the wifi to be reset or my room cleaned. I didn't have any issues. It's a rather relaxed place. There is a restaurant overlooking the sea too which is rather nice but unfortunately I didn't try any of the food or drinks there. There were a few families that seemed to be having a good time. They offer motorbike rentals but I already had one so I didn't use theirs. (I think they also do car rental but not sure) Overall: rooms were clean and tidy, decent facilities, location is a 5 minute motorbike ride away from the main city/town. Also laundry facilites which was convenient.

The pools were a little neglected but not unserviceable. I had a swim or two. The beachfront view can be a bit deceptive because when the tide recedes it's a muddy beach which isn't really great to swim in or look at. However, when the tide is in it is a rather good view with the little pier off in the distance. Also I had a padlock instead of a normal door lock which was a bit odd but I couldn't really care less about it but I think some people might find that unsafe as you could open the door a little bit even if the padlock was locked.

Great pool, great view from pool and restaurant, nice clean rooms and balcony. Restaurant is cheap with decent food. And most of all great people. The manager has a good sense of humor and if you treat her with respect she will make you feel at home. We met some really nice people there staying for longer periods. Nice location between Srithanu and Thongsala and 5-10 min on scooter from a nice strip with beach bars and good restaurants.

Beds are a bit hard. The beach is not among the best on the island but if you have a scooter it’s no problem.

Lovely big spaces - I got to wake up to the sea in the morning. The place maybe needs a little tlc but it’s still a great place to stay away from the business and noise of the rest of the island. Best suited if you’re happy to rent a scooter as it is a fair walk to the nearest shops and cafes and restaurants. Staff were friendly and the amenities all worked well for me!

The staff were attentive and caring, they went out of their way to help you with information, bookings and taxis. The food was good, resort was clean, pools were fantastic. Very laid back attitude. Easy to hire a moped making access to the rest of the island simple.

I liked it all, nothing to report here.

The reception is really helpful. The staff is super friendly. You feel welcome. They have amazing smoothies in their restaurant. There is a lot of trees and nature in the resort.

No electric kettle in the room. Personally I think that more Thai food options (especially breakfast) in the restaurant would be nice.

The view from our balcony was really beautiful, especially during the sunset. The reception was also really helpful, when we had questions regarding the open accessible laundry machines. There are multiple pools to stay cool during the day, for those who like variety.

Our room had a cabinet under the sink where the previous tenants left multiple water bottles that resulted in a bad smell. After mentioning this before room service, this was cleaned up. Also the room is built from wood, which, due to its age, resulted in multiple gaps to outside. No major problem, but this leads to bad sound isolation, which might bother some people.

The staff was great. They went above and beyond to accommodate all of our needs. The views from upstairs was miraculous. 😍The pool, restaurant and having a taxi available at a moment's notice was a blessing.
