We enjoyed our stay at farmers Villas and the Manageress was very friendly and helpful. She responds to email, and arranged a Taxi to meet us at the airport, Peter the taxi driver was honest and didn't try to rip us off. Thank it was 500 baht from airport to hotel. We used huim a lot during our stay to visit various markets and beaches. The hotel is actually a collection of spacious cute one and two bedroom Villas. They have comfy beds and air conditioning and a private bathroom/shower. The hotel actually has two different swimming Pools,(medium and large sized). Hotel offers good laundry service. Villas are quiet as they are all set well back from the (busy) main road that runs past the entrance. Its about a 15 min flat walk to the nearest Beach (Mae Nam beach) which has the Ferry boat pier, and several bars and restaurants. Our favourite beach bar was the Hua Kati bar which is 300m up the beach (turn right as you hit the beach front). It has a relaxed Palm trees+Hammock vibe. Farmers Villas doesn't have a bar or restaurant, but there's a lovely little "locals" restaurant 150 m from the entrance (turn right as you hit the main road). Don't know it's name but it has little thatched booths outside, so easy to spot. Excellent Thai breakfast of Pork+ Rice and soup for only 80 baht each. It's opposite the Maenam Grand Hostel. Otherwise the road leading to the beach (turn left just past 7/11 supermarket), has lots of bars and restaurants . Our favourite if you like Thai food was Pooms for supper. There's also a Pizzeria and an upmarket European restaurant (Cali's) on that road. There's a small night market on Saturday evenings on the beach front next to the Wat Na Phra temple. Good cheap food from stalls, but not much to buy. If you want presents and souvenirs try the Fishermans Village night market on Friday evenings, with lots of food and drinks available too. It's about 500 baht taxi fare to get there.

the Hotel was very good overall , and a reasonable price for the quality of accommodation. MaeNam town doesn't have a lot to offer, but as it's half way round the Island it makes a good base to visit other areas.

The location was very good, easy to reach restaurants and not far from.the Beach. Very quiet and beautiful view. The premier private pool and large swimming pool were great. The staff were very helpful and did so much to make sure the WiFi worked and moved us to a better Villa as the WiFi was not great for the first few days.

Farmers Villa did not have restaurant or breakfast as advertised on booking .com. This as disappointing as I made sure breakfast was included when paying.

What a beautiful jewel for little money. The bungalows are grouped around a beautiful lotus pont. The air conditioning is above the bed and therefore perfectly placed. Never bothersome or uncomfortable from the draught. Everything is very clean and of course cleaned every day. Large bathroom with everything you need. In general, the room is very spacious, as is the wardrobe. Two bottles of fresh water every day, bathrobe, pool towels, bath towels, fridge, tea / coffee maker. The highlith is the private balcony overlooking the Pont and the surrounding area. It is very quiet, yet close to the main road. From the resort it is easy to explore the island. With the scooter, which can also be organised through the hotel. There is also a small communal kitchen that can be used and a communal dining area. Plates, cutlery, pans, plates, spices etc. are available. It is also great that a small, beautiful beach can be reached on foot in 15 minutes, as well as various local restaurants and bars. I am a frequent traveller and run a boutique hotel in Sri Lanka. I can recommend Farmers Villa to any budget traveller. Not suitable for backpackers on a very small budget and party people who are loud and prefer to go out every night. If Koh Samui, I would choose Farmers again.

I LOVED this place!! The lady that runs the place is a fantastic host, her son is super helpful and all the staff were wonderful. The villa I rented was beautiful with its own little pool and a gorgeous view. The whole team couldn't do enough for me and I felt really cared for and looked after. The bed was super comfy, the water nice and hot and the bathroom really spacious. The location was great, it was quiet and off the road and yet close enough to restaurants and only 5 minutes from the beach. I would highly recommend!

It's a large site so dependent on which cabin you have it could be a long walk to the car park, just as a consideration for other travellers. Other than that nothing to report.

First I felt isolated, which changed very quickly to enjoy the calm place. The front bungalows have the big pond with a small pool where I stayed and in the back are the rice fields with the big pool. LAK is the owner and if you have something ask her and all is good! Her son is limited responsive via WhatsApp. the stuff is very friendly. Just steps away you find many small places to eat, supermarkets and 5 minutes walk, you enter to the street with many bars and restaurants, as massages and scooters to rent. A car or scooter comes handy. REMARK: the breakfast, bar, fitness, massages are currently not open / offered (Feb / Mar 2025)

The villas are so quiet and peaceful, set in the environment of a working farm location, it is fascinating to see the daily work on the rice beds. The villa was extremely spacious, very comfortable and clean. The host, kay, was so personable and helpful, even with our silly requests during the stay. The property is an easy reach from the pier serving ferries coming from koh tao, 20 minute walk or 300 baht taxi. And a 20 minute taxi to the western piers serving the national park and ferries to the mainland. The pool is lush, best and biggest pool we've seen at a place to stay this trip.. There is a little village between the villas location and the beach to the north, enjoy meals at Yoi restaurant, luna's restaurant and definitely visit the hua kati cafe on the beach for a fantastic relaxed evening meal. 7-11 across the road and many more shops if you're prepared to walk 15 minutes. Most tours will pick up from here, you just need to specify the location to the tour operator. If there's anything that seems difficult, the owner will help. I hope we can come back. :)

At first I was worried about mosquitos but there are many beautiful dragon flies and I think they eat all the mosquitoes because we didn't see many.

Location was quiet, beautiful pool area and villas were spacious. Beds were so comfortable and so were the pillows (much needed after backpacking!) room was cleaned every single day without fail. Facilities were also amazing. Staff would always go out there way to help you and the owner was so lovely I didn’t catch her name but she sorted us out an extra night for a really great price.

Was slightly dated and could do with a lick of paint here and there and hot water wasn’t consistent but that’s all.

I had a perfect stay here! The room was super clean and beautifully maintained, and the pool was just as lovely—spotless and relaxing. What really stood out was the thoughtful gesture from the hotel staff: they surprised us by decorating the bed with flowers and a "Happy Birthday" message for my parent. It made the experience extra special. We were really, really happy with our stay. Thank you so much!

Nothing it was perfect. Maybe just that there wasn't a restaurant on the property.

I stayed in a Lotus Villa in March 2025 and it was a nice and peaceful experience. The staff is very friendly and dedicated to maintaining the place as clean as possible. You can hear birds and lizards, day and night. Although it's quite close to the road, the traffic noise is barely noticeable. There are a couple of local restaurants and a 7/11 nearby, but not many activities in the area, making it perfect for a peaceful getaway.

Not many activities in the area.

The room, lotus pond (with all the wildlife), the balcony. It’s on a main road so is well connected but it’s also quite hidden so it is quiet and private. Staff are friendly and helpful. Vegan restaurant called Two Sisters is about 17 minute walk away and is delicious. The beach is only a short walk from the restaurant. Opposite Two Sisters is an Indian restaurant called Babu which has lovely vegan options too.

No hangers in the wardrobe and when we requested some we weren’t given any. There’s a section in the bathroom where plants are supposed to be but ours didn’t have any plants, it only had soil and bits of rubbish.
