Clean basic room. Good AC. Excellent location on a beautiful beach. Excellent beach for swimming. Good value for the money. The resort was lovely and quiet so definitely not for the partying crowd. I had a standard double room which had its own little balcony. The deluxe rooms looked nice and I might have upgraded if I were staying longer. Decent breakfast offered in the room price. Decent sized swimming pool. Staff friendly.

I was happy with the property for the money paid. Take in account that it is a 2 star resort so isn’t fancy.

We really enjoyed the location, the bungalow was right on the beach with a beautiful view, and the price was very reasonable. The restaurant offered a wide variety of affordable dishes, and the staff were very friendly and helpful.

If you don’t have children, keep in mind that there were many families with kids, and the pool area was often quite noisy. We couldn’t use the pool at all because of this. Some guests kept sunbeds reserved with their belongings for four days straight, which was very frustrating, and no one asked them to remove their things. Lastly, we found cockroaches in our room on three separate occasions, which was unpleasant.

We liked this hotel, and if we are on Samui one day again we will stay there. Although it was located a bit far from all the entertainments we liked the location as we could sleep well and not listen to the sounds of roads or music. The personal was very hospitable and supportive. Our bungalow was relatively old and small (22 m2) but clean with snow-white sheets and nice smelling towels that were regularly changed. The sand beach was in 20 meters from the entrance of our bungalow. It was clean with no stones when you come in the sea. There were always just a few people on the beach or just us, so we enjoyed the sounds of the sea. The internet connection was relatively good, even on the beach. The breakfast was good, and it was also possible to have a lunch or dinner in the hotel´s restaurant, which was not expensive at all. We also fould it very helpful to have an opportunity to rent a scooter at the hotel and travel around the island. The rental cost was just added to our final bill, so we did not need to deal with any formalities of rental companies.

The staff were amazing. Very friendly and couldn't do enough for us. Super caring when my husband became ill. The pool is fantastic and the location on Mae Nam was so quiet and private - a lovely beach. Hiring a scooter with them was easy. We stayed in one of the older bungalows which was basic but you can see they are putting in a lot of work to upgrade the facilities. We really enjoyed our time just relaxing. Restaurant on site has a large and reasonably priced menu while breakfast was adequate. Lovely massage on the beach. The bed with memory foam was so comfy

While we fully understand the need for maintenance and upgrading it was a bit annoying to try to enjoy quiet time around the pool or while having a massage while there is drilling and hammering around you. A minor irritation though as this is probably in preparation for the busier holiday period.

- Atmosphere. Very calm and relaxing atmosphere in the hotel and in the area in general. The nearby neighbourhood is like a little quiet village that we really like. Far enough from the main road (3 min by bike). - Room. We upgraded initial Deluxe bungalow (looked small) to Grand Deluxe and it was great stay. The bungalow is very spacious - very comfy bed, nice linens; desk to work on a computer, big wardrobe, large bathroom with hot well-pressure shower. Big terrace well-covered from the sun - so you can have a breakfast or work on the laptop and it will be not hot. Air con is good shape too. - Breakfast. We like the breakfast - basic but enough of everything, slightly different everyday (choice of fruits, yogurt, oatmeal, eggs, rice, sausages, veggies, toasts, pancakes, cookies). - Beach. The beach is great, lots of spaces for everyone under the palm trees. Its is a long beach - you can walk to the China Town to the right or to the pier to the left. Overall great stay - would definitely recommend to everyone who likes calm and relaxing place.

Would just advise to refresh the towels - but its minor thing.

It is a great place to stay. It is directly at the beach, with a very nice pool looking out over the beach. There were plenty of beds around the pool. Breakfast was varied and plenty. The room and bathroom was spacious and clean. The beds are comfortable and the airco quiet. We were pleasantly surprised. It is in a quiet area, but not too far walk from a main street with all amenities.

The seats in the living room are, as on the pictures, very hard and uncomfortable. We took the cushions from the outside chairs, but it was still hard. It seems not to be meant for relaxing on in the evening. The area around the pool consists, as many other reviewers noted, of a lot of concrete. It isn't bothersome, but it would make this place paradise if they would turn that into a garden area with plants and flowers. Nonetheless, I would definitely come again.

The place is excellent. Bungallows are at the beach. The swimming pool was busy, especially children enjoyed it. The breakfast buffet includes sausages and ham which are surprisingly in water, so the ham loses its flavour. I still liked the buffet which includes soup, noodles, potatoes, olives, many other vegetables, fruits and a lot of drinks. You can play table tennis for free here. You can get beach towels at the reception.

The sea was not clear. Maybe because of the rainy season. Almost nobody was in the sea. The table in the bungallow was very old and broken, but we did not mind it. This place is in a small street, so maybe it is not suitable for people who want to be close to the busy main road. We got 2 bottles of water every day, but there is no kettle in the room, so you cannot make a coffee for yourself.

I stayed at Shangrila Bungalow, located on the serene Maenam Beach, which is perfect for those seeking a peaceful and laid-back atmosphere in Koh Samui. Compared to busier areas like Chaweng or Lamai Beach, Maenam is much more relaxed. The room was small but comfortable, with a good bed, soft pillows, and a desk with a mirror. The bathroom had a hot water shower, and the deck outside had chairs and a place to hang wet clothes. Unfortunately, there were too many mosquitoes, so we didn’t spend much time on the deck, but we used plenty of mosquito repellent. The hotel restaurant had a great menu—nothing fancy but consistently good food, and the staff were wonderful. The pool, with its warm salted water, was a highlight. You could walk straight from the pool to the white sand beach, making it a perfect place to relax. We also rented a scooter directly from the hotel, which was a fantastic way to explore the island. Riding around Koh Samui is easy and stress-free, and I highly recommend it. For airport transfers, it's best to book directly with the hotel for better rates. Overall, a very relaxing stay. I would definitely come back!

I loved everything about this place! I stayed in the bungalow near the ocean ,the view was absolutely fantastic, and waking up to it every morning was just incredible. Huge thanks to the staff - everyone was so friendly and helpful. They assisted us with booking catamaran tickets and a taxi, which made everything so easy. The bungalow was clean, fully equipped.You can really feel that every detail was considered. It was 100% worth it. Can’t wait to come back!

The only thing I would suggest improving is the water pressure in the shower ,it was quite weak and a bit difficult to regulate the temperature. Other than that, everything was perfect.

We stayed in the standard bungalow and it was great. Cozy rooms, clean, nice balcony. Before arriving I requested to have a beach view and they gave us a room on the beach. It was one of my favourite places so far. The pool is nice. The restaurant serves great food and cheap drinks. The breakfast included was wonderful.

The only downside to this place was the beach being slightly dirty. We still swam in the water and it was nice but when there is windy days there seems to be more garbage along the beach.
