We just returned from an unforgettable two-week stay at the Marriott Phuket Merlin Beach Resort. This place is truly a slice of paradise, and from start to finish, everything was exceptional. We booked the all-inclusive package, and let me just say – WOW. We’ve tried several all-inclusive resorts before, but this one was on a whole different level. The food options were diverse and delicious, the drinks were top-shelf, and the service was second to none. Absolute value for money and then some! The resort itself is immaculate – everything is sparkling clean and beautifully maintained. The pools are stunning, the beach is peaceful and private, and the on-site facilities make it easy to never want to leave. But if you do want to explore, the complimentary shuttle bus to Patong is such a thoughtful and convenient touch. Now, onto the real stars of our trip – the staff. Everyone we met was friendly, attentive, and genuinely seemed to care about making our stay perfect. Some very special shout-outs: Nanoon at the Starbucks counter – You brightened our mornings with your kind smile and calm energy. Even during the busy rushes, you handled everything with such grace and professionalism. Your service was consistently top-notch! Ping Ping at the Beach Grill – Your warmth and hospitality made every meal feel special. Thank you for your attention to detail and for making us feel so welcome! At the Merchant Kitchen, Penguin, Patt, Prae, and Filmmy were simply fantastic. You all went above and beyond to ensure we were happy and comfortable. We always looked forward to seeing your friendly faces – you truly made our dining experiences memorable. A special mention to Jinte, who was just one week into her internship when we met her. Honestly, we were blown away by the level of service she provided. Professional, kind, and always eager to help – she has a bright future ahead! This resort not only met our expectations – it exceeded them in every possible way.

Excellent hotel, with everything you need, 3 pools, ice cream shop, coffee shop, multiple restaurants, private beach with activities, kids club, activities for adults. This resort has everything you need that leaving is not a necessity. Staff are incredibly friendly. A wonderful stay that we hope to return to soon.

The breakfast buffet wasn’t the best, huge selection however I found the hot breakfast foods a little tasteless/the same food each day. The buffet dinners were great with the exception of the seafood night, the seafood was definitely not fresh and quite disappointing. The beds were quite hard but not uncomfortable.

This is a superb resort, a ten minute drive from the bustling town of Patong. Everything is there, especially for families, although with two main pools, children tended to use one and adults without kids used the other. We were all inclusive which turned out to be a great option with exceptional food and quality beers and wines included in the package. The staff were truly amazing. For info, there is a laundry just off the beach charging 90 Thai baht per kilo. Clothes had no shrinkage. Sunbeds in plentiful supply at the pools and overlooking the beach. The hotel was full. We will return.

Not allowed late check out, we have to leave the rooms at 12:00 and wait 2-3 hours for the airport transport at the lobby. Selling boat tours very expensive- other similar alternatives at patong beach was around 1500THB but it was around 3500-4000 THB at the hotel.

Breakfast was great so much to choose from they have two restaurants to have breakfast one has a bit more variety than the other pools are great you have a swim up bar on one side and kids slide and activities on the other they have kids club which is good and do a variety of things from making there own pizzas to ice cream they do have a shuttle that can take you into Patong beach 10-15 minutes out depending on traffic also have their own beach can swim at or go snorkelling over the reef they do have equipment to borrow if you haven’t brought your own staff were good but some didn’t understand what you were saying

When checking in they they don’t tell you their adding a bond on top of your booking so when I checked my credit card it was $326 Australian dollars extra it would have been good to tell us as some people only have certain limits on their card ,if you don’t use it like room service or bar and food it gets refunded also a extra $87 for transaction fees 🙁

The stuff was amazing, as well as the facilities. The food was amazing all around and the pools had a good variety. The beach was amazing, we would come here again.

Something to consider is that there is just one road leading to the hotel, through patong beach, which means traffic jams most of the time during the day. Additionally, the water pressure in the shower was low. However, these did not interfere ine bit with our pleasure.

We can’t praise the Marriott Merlin Beach highly enough. Everything was perfect, from the rooms and housekeeping, to the restaurants, the pools and facilities. They thought of everything and there were so many nice unexpected little extra touches, like afternoon ice cream for the children or slices of watermelon brought to people relaxing by the pool, a surprise birthday cake and balloons delivered to our room. The kids club activities were super and all the staff were fabulous; so patient, polite, kind and thoughtful. It really was fabulous. Thank you to everyone at Marriott. And an extra thank you to Nene at Thai Pantry for how she looked after my mum and together with her colleagues made my son’s birthday special, and also to the whole team at Merchant Kitchen who were unfailingly brilliant.

There is so much to not just like, but LOVE. The resort is world class excellent, from the multiple pools, variety of restaurants, perfect ambiance and activities to cater to all groups and people. A highlight is the rum shack, facing one of the cleanest private beaches in Asia and world class restaurants within minutes walk from each other. 10/10

Disclaimer this is partly my fault for not securing our currency carefully, but we had money go missing from our room. The staff actioned this immediately and investigated thoroughly, so the follow up was prompt and efficient. But the situation dampened our spirits for part of the stay.
