The pool and the outdoor area of the hotel are very cute. I always look for places that give you the option to sit outside and you don't feel like you're in a glass prison. Very nice staff. It is close to the beach. Also, it is close to the bars, if you're into that. It's not my thing personally, but they are right there. In addition, it is absolutely quiet in the hotel. I also tried the restaurant in the hotel and it was really good for decent money.

The wifi wasn't good but that seems to be a problem in most Thai hotels. The shower was a little too old for my liking. It also got broken after a few days, but they were great and fixed. I would still recommend this hotel to you

Basaya is one of the Pattaya's classics: constructed around a huge garden with a large swimming pool, it is a peaceful haven in the area which is yet busy (numerous restaurants, cafes, bars...). The "New Standard" rooms were recently renovated and feature a fridge, large flat screen TV with international programs, large working desk, A.C. working properly all the time. Wifi was planned to be accessible from individual rooms.

-- Contrary to what booking.com claims (and contrary to the previous practice of Basaya in 2017, 18, 19), the hotel does NOT accept American Express cards. -- Although the wifi signal is detectable inside the room, the laptop connection to Internet is unstable and works only sporadically; and, if so, then with rather a narrow bandwidth. The problem seems to be known to the management but categorized as "unsolved mysteries". If you get desperate you can use the Internet cafe Ja Jaa Net, the same street as Basaya, approx. 600 m to the East (i.e. away from the sea). -- Conclusion: In spite of the weak points just mentioned I will come, in future, to Basaya again.

Booked on booking but was on 3rd floor and far walk up and over. Paid extra to get a room on ground floor. Very nice. Staff are very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was great as well..hard workers..all of them! Pool is huge and lovely.

Didnt really like that some people would put towels on limited sunbeds and not attend them..All day and for days in a row..never saw them..Why, when others could use them? Kind of rediculous imo. Not hotels fault but maybe a policy..if you dont use your beds for 4 hours..towels removed.

Excellent location, right in front of the beach. The reception staff provided us with the room an hour prior since we had been waiting for over 4 hours. The other working staff were also very helpful. The pool is situated right in front of the rooms and is open for a long time. The room was very spacious, with all amenities provided timely, and food, and cleaning were amazing as well.

The rooms could use a bit more lighting as after evening it tends to get a bit dark inside the rooms.

Very calm place, based right in front of the walking street. Best location ever imagined. The hotel is overall old, but everything works, the pool is clean, the sunbeds are fine and there are lots of them.

Was eaten by mosquitoes. Please think of mosquito net on the windows.

Nice and quiet. Great pool for me, but to deep for none swimmers. Staff friendly. And it's a great place to stay if you want to bring you dog 🐕... they have a separate pool for the dog and dog walking . Very relaxing place and close to amenities bars restaurants and massage... I would definitely stay here again

Had quite a few mosquitoes in my room. So did my neighbour. I will recommend they spray the rooms before the hotel let customers stay. Maybe the flora and greenery outside need spraying to. Other than a few mosquitoes I've no complaints

Breakfast is poor. Most of the customers were old people, so if you are a young couple - consider this.
