The hotel is on a peaceful street 10 minutes walk away from the touristy commercial centre of Goreme. Breakfast buffet starting at 8 a.m. had a good selection, and its rooftop location had really amazing views. Tea and coffee always available at the front desk; the 24-hour hotel reception staff are extremely helpful, you can rely on them; e.g. to arrange taxis, book any kind of activity, answer questions. No pool or other common facilities because this is a small hotel. Advice: make sure to plan at least 3-4 days here in case the hot air balloon launch gets rescheduled due to bad weather.

The hotel was perfect.

A bit out of the main area so a walk to the touristy streets for restaurants etc which suited us as we like a quiet time. Rooms are lovely and the stone structure is impressive. Bed was comfortable but even the requested 'soft' pillows were pretty hard. Very responsive/helpful staff.

The resultant noise from the stone walls and floors was a huge problem with footsteps echoing, with voices audible from rooms and corridors etc. Earplugs were necessary for a decent night's sleep, especially as other guests joining balloon flights were up and about before 5am...

The first thing that convinced us was all the other great reviews of this place. We read many good things of Hasan from previous guests and when we met him in person, he definitely lived up to his reputation. He was kind, warm and welcoming. He even managed to organise our room earlier than we expected and organised tours for us at competitive rates. We could also see the Hot Air Balloons from our room. The breakfast was Delicious, plus there's a coffee machine which is a big plus!! Overall Excellent!!

The only downfall is that it's not located to the centre but it's a short 5 to 7 minute walk and the area is totally safe, we walked back late hours of the night with peace of mind.

This is not the first time we have stayed overnight in Göreme. And this hotel turned out to be one of the best in terms of price/quality ratio. Small, cozy, on the outskirts, in silence, but at the same time to the center on foot no more than 7-10 minutes. Very easy and pleasant communication with Hasan! Despite the fact that the hotel is quite small, the host offers all services to tourists: the organization of airport transfers and excursions. According to reviews on this hotel, they also have a delicious breakfast, but we were leaving very early and unfortunately did not try it. The rooms are very clean, everything looks updated, good plumbing and cosmetics. We made an upgrade and were given a room with a jacuzzi) It was nice to relax in a hot bath after a long drive through snowy passes. The room was very warm! Thank you very much Hasan for taking care of guests! I highly recommend this hotel to anyone who wants to experience real Turkish hospitality and service

A truly beautiful Stone House, decorated with love. My room was peaceful, and the bed was very comfortable to sleep in. The hotel is located in a quiet area, about 12 mins walking to the center of Göreme. It has a stunning view over the Rose Valley, especially from the top terrace, where you can watch balloons at Sunrise. Breakfast is delicious with some Turkish specialties. The best was the staff at the reception & breakfast and everyone I met there was really lovely. They went above and beyond to make my stay comfortable. Also, they are happy to organize some great local trips for you. The Jeep Saffari with their best driver ever! Their hospitality is amazing. I really enjoyed my stay and I highly recommend it to everyone. If I'm back in Kapadokya, I will definitely stay there again!

Katapa Stone house was such a great find!!! As usual, we booked originally 2 nights of our 9 days stay to see if we like it. From the moment we checked in, Ibars was on top of anything we might need. There was an ussue with the shower and few minutes later he was there to fix it. We woke up at sunrise the next day we such a wonderful view of the colorful hot air balloons from the beautiful terrace. Nermin, who is always smiling, prepared a delicious spread for breakfast with new items added everyday of our stay. Serpil made sure that our room was always clean and supplied with nice toiletries, water, coffee and teas. The owner, his sweet wife and the staff made us always feel like we were guests at their home. We stayed first in a double room but later upgraded to a much bigger suit with jacuzzi tub and a fireplace. The beds and linens were of good quality. The location is perfect if you want to stay away from the very busy downtown but just a short walk will bring you the the heart of Göreme and a 3 km hike will bring you to watch the balloons flying over Love Valley. But Cappadocia offers so much more than balloon rides and staying at Katapa House was the right decision. We would love to come back!!!

The hotel's location is excellent, only a few minutes' walk to the city center, and you can see hot air balloons from the rooftop. It takes only 5 minutes to walk to the hillside to watch the hot air balloons take off, where you can enjoy breathtaking views. The staff are all very friendly and helpful, willing to accommodate our needs. They change towels daily, and there is a wide variety of breakfast options. The four ladies are fantastic, and the gentlemen are also very helpful. The price they offer for the JEEP tour is the cheapest in Cappadocia. Both me and the children really enjoyed our stay at this hotel.

Our bathroom has a little bit smell

Nice small hotel in Goreme. Nice views from the terraces. Good breakfast and friendly staff. Staff also happy to arrange excursions or transport. With a hire car it was easy to park. It was about 20 minutes walk to the centre, ATM etc. The family room was nice, kids loved the big jacuzzi.

It was a bit dark in the rooms and there was a bit of a smell with the jacuzzi, maybe it hadn't been used for a while.

This is the best location in Göreme. The Balloon show is on top of the hotel, so you can enjoy the views from the hotel's terrace. The best thing about this hotel is its location: It is away from the noise of the town and is quiet during the night. Savas is a great host, friendly, and always trying to help you.

The bed wasn't comfortable. I couldn't sleep well because it was noisy, and the mattress was a little bit hard. But the price of this hotel was good.

Great location in that it was quiet but only 15min walk into the main town. Clean room, hairdryer, towels etc, everything you could need!

Only thing that annoyed me slightly was that the rooftop terrace sofa wasn’t open all the time. One morning, they had a big party having breakfast who clearly weren’t staying at the hotel so we had to sit inside which was a bit annoying. This did not ruin our stay as everything else was top notch, a great affordable option in Goreme.
