Room was a genuine cave.

Goreme has been massively overdeveloped. The Kelebek is now a conveyer belt of Americans, Chinese And Russians. Not very appealing. Good food and service is way better in the other Restaurants without the unattractive international patina.

The hotel itself is really beautiful with lots of smaller terraces that overlook the entire Göreme, with chimnies and everything. The rooftop terrace is perfect for star gazing at night or watching balloons at sunrise. The staff are truly wonderful, attentive, and helpful with all the information, advice and tips they gave us about our stay. They organized the Green tour sightseeing, the ATV sunset ride and the balloon ride with a very reliable company. The rooms are very clean and tidy and cleaned daily, and towels are also replaced on a daily basis. The hotel's restaurant Happena has delicuous food. Breakfast was very good, with a variety of choices. Water, coffee and tea are free for guests. The pool view is amazing and there are always enough clean towels for sunbathing. We highly recommend this hotel and would surely stay here again. Thanks, Kelebek, for a wonderful stay! 😊

The pool is not heated so the water is quite cold, but we didn't mind it much because it was super hot during the day so it was actually quite a good refreshment. Water taps in rooms seem to have wrong markings- red dots are actually for cold water, and blue for hot, at least that was the case in our room. But it's really a tiny thing, not even a problem.

The hotel was a cave hotel, so it did make use of the fairy chimney rock formations of the area. Our room was actually a cave with 3 chambers, however it did have a door and two windows. Outside every room was a sitting area which was also a place to enjoy the view and watch the morning balloons. They few right over the hotel which was very special. Although it is up on a hill, it is only a 10 minute walk down to the town.along the way are many restaurants, but we often ate at the hotel. The meals and breakfast buffet were excellent.

We found that the staff were helpful if you asked the right questions, but didn’t offer extra valuable information that a tourist or first time visitor would want to know.

Beaultiful Location, magnificent view, all receptionist (Onur, Seacer, Fateh) - so helpful, soothing spa, lavish and luxurious suite with a nice Turkish antique style interiors feeling - with awesome balcony view.

Restaurant - food was ok ok. Breakfast Spread was not wow. Staff was not so cooperative with our dietary requirements.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at the Kelebek Special Cave Hotel in Cappadocia, and I can confidently say it deserves an excellent rating! From the moment I arrived, the staff was superb—warm, attentive, and always ready to assist with a smile. They went above and beyond to make my stay comfortable and memorable, offering helpful tips for exploring the region and ensuring every detail was taken care of. The breakfast was really good, featuring a delightful spread of fresh, local ingredients that catered to all tastes. What made it even more special was enjoying it on the terrace, which provided the perfect vantage point for watching the iconic Cappadocia hot air balloons drift across the sky at sunrise. The views were breathtaking, and the hotel’s location truly enhances this once-in-a-lifetime experience. The cave room itself was a highlight—unique, cozy, and beautifully designed, blending authentic charm with modern comforts. The ambiance of the hotel, perched above Goreme, felt magical, with stunning vistas of the fairy chimneys and valleys. One area for improvement would be ensuring the swimming pool is fully operational. During my stay, it wasn’t working, which was a slight disappointment given how inviting it looked. A functioning pool would elevate the experience even further, especially after a day of exploring. Overall, Kelebek Special Cave Hotel is a gem in Cappadocia. With its superb staff, fantastic breakfast, and prime balloon-watching spot, I’d rate it a solid 5 stars and can’t wait to return!

Gorgeous property, beautiful grounds and rooms. Great views from the many terraces and from the room (we stayed in a suite). Staff very friendly and happy to help and answer questions. They do push their own tours/affiliated tours, but that is to be expected. I would recommend that the management took care to fixing the plugs in the rooms - many in ours were coming off the wall. Also, it would be advisable to store sunbeds’ cushions in areas that are not used by the guests - ie, outside the rooms. In saying that, we stayed during the low season, I expect maintenance will be carried out before the next high season. I would definitely recommend staying at this property.

The hotel is located on the uphill of Goreme overlooking the town in a quiet place. The room was spotless, big with the seating area and fireplace, the bed comfortable - had a very good sleep. The breakfast was delicious served in the Turkish style and you can have it inside or on terrace. The stuff on the reception is very professional and friendly. We went to their spa, too and I can recommend it! It was very good and the girls there was very kind. After check out we could leave our luggage on the reception and use the hotel facilities. Thank you, much appreciate! When I come back to Cappadocia, I’ll stay here for sure.

Everything was ok

Incredible location, beautiful views. Our balcony was amazing. The staff went above and beyond for us and made our experience wonderful, with so many helpful tips and special extras. The service was exceptional and the food was delicious. We particularly enjoyed the afternoon of our last day when we relaxed in the library, enjoying the views, and were kept refreshed with offers of local apple tea and snacks from the wonderful Bulewt. Everyone was so friendly and kind to us and we will definitely be returning! Our stay was absolutely perfect.

We loved our stay at Kelebek. The property is large and well maintained. Our room was beautifully designed and quite spacious. They have a couple of outdoor seating areas and a rooftop terrace from where you can enjoy the beautiful view. Highly recommend waking up early to watch the hot air balloons at sunrise. The location is good, walking distance to the town centre.

The only issue we faced was with the air conditioning. During the autumn and winter months, the AC is turned off, and instead the centralized heating system is turned on across the entire property. While the evenings were cold, the room itself wasn’t as cool as we would have liked, and so it was a bit difficult to sleep. Im not sure if this is a standard practice for all hotels in Goreme or just specific to Kelebek, but it did cause some inconvenience. That said, everything else about our stay was wonderful, and we truly loved our time at Kelebek.

Staying in a fairy chimney suite at Kelebek was a magical experience. The view of Goreme, especially at night from the terrace was enchanting. The staff was friendly and attentive, although the service did take awhile in the dining room even when it wasn't busy. The whole property is large and very unique, especially the fairy chimney suites. We especially liked the breakfast buffet which had some items that we hadn't seen elsewhere on our 4 week trip to Turkey.

The many stairs on the property could be problematic for some people, although the staff was helpful when it came to carrying luggage.
