Great location and extremely pleasant staff. The hotel is beautiful, clean and very romantic. Our rooms were cleaned every day, a special thanks to our cleaner Tea. The breakfast was better than usual for Turkey and the tables were always clean, a wonderful interior and a special thanks to our sweet chef Zarife and the waiter at the breakfast table Aziz. The reception staff were all extremely pleasant and helpful, thanks also to the porter Muhammed and Recdet - big thanks. I also highly recommend going to the roof terrace restaurant which has beautiful views and great flavors and service. A special thanks to the Manager, a charming lady named Dilek - you were able to fulfill all our wishes.

Location was wonderful walking distance to a lot of attractions and the T1 train. staff was very nice and responsive .

The beds and pillows were a bit firm and not very comfortable. While the restaurant on the 3rd floor offers a fantastic view, breakfast is actually served on the lowest floor, which can be a little misleading based on the photos. The room felt small—I had booked a superior room but initially thought it was a basic one. Fortunately, the staff kindly showed me other room types, and I realized I did receive the correct category (the others were even smaller). So again, the photos might set higher expectations than reality. That said, the staff were incredibly helpful and responsive—especially Nejdet—which made a big difference. Overall, I was happy with the stay and would consider booking again if I return to Istanbul.

The thing I most liked is the staff and the location. The staff are very friendly and always happy to help. The property is centred next ( walkable distance) to most popular attractions like the blue mosque, hagia Sophia and Topkapi palace. There is nothing that I disliked, the only thing I could say as a drawback is the breakfast menu is complete English breakfast. I am a UK resident, obviously I am eating English breakfast every day and when I came here it was the same. I wanted to try something Turkish ( maybe this feels only for me) otherwise I highly recommend it to everyone who is going to come to Istanbul.

My boyfriend and I had an awesome stay at Avicena Hotel! The location is perfect—literally a stone’s throw from all the major sites in Istanbul. For the price, it’s hands down one of the best budget hotels we’ve stayed in. Our room was cozy, clean, functional, and comfortable—basically everything we needed to crash after a full day of walking and eating (mostly eating). The breakfast was great, and the staff? Wow. Nejdet and Ibrahim at the front desk were so friendly and helpful, they really made our short stay. They went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed and even gave great recommendations for things to do around the city. We’ll definitely be staying here again next time we’re in Istanbul. No question about it. Highly recommend this gem to anyone looking for a cozy, affordable spot with amazing service :)

Baris and crew were very helpful. We were a group of 7 and were completely accommodated. We loved that our rooms were in the mazes off the main hotel. The garden area is breezy and lovely. All ACs worked well and hard - hugely important after a wonderful, hot day exploring Istanbul. Excellent location. Everything is walking distance with great restaurants and bars nearby. Avicenna has a lovely rooftop bar, as well. Great place for an afternoon happy hour. Thanks, Baris and team!

Excellent location, grand bazar and blue mosque is just a few minutes walk away. Staff was great, the breakfast was nice, the room was clean, toilet and bathroom were in good condition.

Our flight was delayed and we reached the hotel around 1AM only to find out the AC was not working. The staff tried to help but weren't successful in resolving the issue. It was however fixed the next day. Apart from that everything was great.

The staff were very accommodating and waited for us to arrive for our late checking which was over 2hours late with open arms. Very friendly and helpful. The hotel is in a beautiful location which we absolutely adore. The rooms and restaurant were just as expected and we were very happy with our stay, for our first experience and visit to Istanbul you have exceeded our expectations. We will be back! Thank you.

Best feature of the hotel is its a great location with a very short walk to the main sights Blue Mosque etc. The room is adequate but would benefit from updating. Breakfast was ample and to a good standard. The reception and staff were very helpful and polite.

The bathroom like the room would benefit from updating. The bath is good to have but for showering its a big step over the side for access especially for more elderly guests.

Traditional style building with character and charm. Ideally located within yards of Ag Sophia and Blue Mosque making it very convenient to visit main sites.. Clean and comfortable beds. Breakfast served in lovely basement restaurant with courtyard garden seating area Staff helpful friendly and polite. Good value for money, worthwhile upgrading to superior room if staying more than a night.

Wouldn't reccomend if you have mobility issues as steep marble spiral steps to second and third floors so if this is an issue be sure to book ground floor courtyard area room.
