Received free room upgrade on arrival, nice view of Hagia Sophia, Blue Mosque and the sea from our balcony. Breakfast terrace has stunning views both at daylight and at night. Service at reception and during breakfast is outstanding. Housekeeping does a perfect job. If you want to have a relaxed stay at the core of the old city of istanbul, go here. We didn't even go to the spa, although we chose this hotel because it has a spa and gym available. There are so many options in Istanbul that makes it hard to chose. So - keep it simple, go for this one, because you won't regret it and you can fully focus on your stay at this wonderful city. As it is super close to the old city, still in a calm and peaceful neighborhood, you might even enjoy a late evening walk down to the sea or the Hagia Sophia, both are 5 minutes walking distance away and - this is a special hint: you can see dolphins playing in the sea in the evening. they usually don't get much further into the bosphorus, but when you walk down to the sea from the hotel, you can spot them easily when the sun goes down. with oculars you might spot them even from the balcony.

Everything is gorgeous . Wonderful breakfast and very clean everything.

Fist day when we went there my kids woke up a little bit early because of the time difference and jet lag . We had Two rooms and kids went to other room very quietly. Door made a little noise and I think it’s normal when you open the door. It was 06:20 AM in the morning. Not sure who would be interrupted that time. One of the front desk person was so rude with me because of that. He literally said “ ENOUGH “ then frowned at me and left. I don’t think as a guest I can deserve this kind of attitude. I was not happy about that at all. This is the one of bad experience I had form there. I like respect and same way I like to give respect. Even though I seen him after that but it was nice to him and I showed him my respect.

The location was great close and walking distance to the main attractions. It was clean, spacious and beds very comfortable. Staff are very friendly and happy to assist. Breakfast was tasty and plenty.

There is a sole train line behind the hotel. If you are a light sleeper ask for a room not facing this.

Staff is super helpful. Especially Mr. Nuri and Mr. Lateef. They guide you for each and every thing, like good restaurant as well budget restaurant. The guide you pros and cons of taking guide VS not taking guide. Sincere fellows with no intention to grap money from commission services. Location is good

Bathrooms toilets does not have seperate muslim shower. But I understand it is a common problem in all toilets of the country. Never the less hotel management promised to look into this matter. Hotel does not provide free shuttle service although mention in their facility. They should update it for better clearification of customers

Everything is perfect.

The breakfast was the best part of the hotel, especially as it was on the rooftop terrace, where we could enjoy the beautiful views of the Hagia Sophiya, the Blue Mosque & the stunning views of the sea. The breakfast had a lot of variety naming boiled eggs, scrambled eggs, onion rings, fries, cheese pastries, breads, a variety of cheese, salads, cereal, desserts, tea, coffee etc. The staff were very, very welcoming especially Selcouk who would always come to up to us to ask if we wanted any pictures to be taken or if we want tea or coffee. The managers Mehmet, Omer & another person whose name I unfortunately have forgotten were very kind, helpful & welcoming, any kind of issues they would handle it straight away for example booking a taxi, giving directions etc. The housekeeping was good. Our rooms were very comfortable, we had 2 rooms connected to each other, at the same time they had doors in between if we needed to close them. The 2rooms came with 2 separate bathrooms which were Hammams as well. Altogether, our stay at the Ferman was extremely pleasing, comfortable & enjoyable. Thank you Ferman Old City Hotel, will definitely recommend it to friends & family in future. Big thumbs up 👍

The staff was amazing: Nuri, Onur & Metmet at the reception cared for our every need. They were extremely polite, courteous & caring. Selcuk the waiter made sure you always had fresh tea & coffee on hand. The Chef did an excellent job with the abundant breakfast buffet. The scenery on the rooftop breakfast area was breathtaking. You had great water views as well as the High Sofia. I've bragged about the excellent service that my husband & I received from Ferman Hotel. We are 2 seniors and they were always there to help us get around. It was truly an amazing experience & I highly recommend this hotel & its staff to everyone who visits Istanbul.

The hotel is centrally located & within blocks from the Hagia Sofia, Blue Mosque, Topaki Palace, other main attractions & the tram station. However, the streets are very narrow & difficult to walk on the old cobble stones.

This hotel really exceeded our expectations! We stayed 4 nights in a room for 4 (2 adults + 2 teens), and everything was wonderful. The LOCATION was perfect, and the VIEWS from both the balcony and the rooftop terrace were absolutely unforgettable. Breakfast was fantastic, with a wide variety of cheeses, fruits, salads, cereals, desserts, tea, and coffee - all served on the rooftop with stunning views of the Hagia Sophia, the Blue Mosque, and the sea. The staff were incredibly welcoming. A special thank you to Omer, Mehmet, and the entire team for being so kind, attentive, and helpful. The room was very clean, and overall our stay was an amazing experience. If we return to Istanbul, we will definitely choose Ferman Hotel again!

We loved staying at ferman hotel , I have used this hotel three times each time I have attended Istanbul. Staff Have been amazing , with My family especially the kids . We were very happy the only thing I would say the breakfast needs to change everyday . For 9 days we had the same limited breakfast. Chips and onion rings in the morning it Is not a breakfast It’s a buffet for lunch or Dinner. Also the juices no taste to it at all . The kitchen / breakfast staff were amazing . Also the reception staff in total all staff Were amazing . Thank You

I normally dont write any reviews, but i had to . This hotel really exceeded our expectations. I stayed with my girlfriends for 4 nights .the location was great , and the area was clean and safe .A big thank you to Omer and Mehmet and entire staff .Everyone was kind , nice, and very helpful. The room was very clean, overall the stay was a great experience. Omer, thank you for all your help. i really appreciate it .if we ever come back to istanbul, we are definitely choosing Ferman hotel.
