I liked that the bed was very cozy, the room had good heating, housekeeping was maintained up to date, and the personal was very friendly and quickly responded to our requests via booking and also provided information when needed. The area is very central in the historical center of Istanbul so you can very easily reach out everywhere.

The room was very small and the little outdated in the sense that you could see it's a little worn out. Also my friends’s room had thick curtains and we think it retained a lot of dust leading to an allergy reaction from the dust inside, we don't know for sure. Maybe it would be a good idea to put thinner curtains.

We were referred to this hotel once, and now it’s one of our favorite places to stay in the historical district in Istanbul. The authentic interior and perfect location, close to our favorite places in the old city, make us want to come back to this hotel again and again. It’s a pleasure to meet the same staff working there for years. Their smiles and hospitality at any level, along with their accommodation of our needs, make us feel welcome. The gorgeous view from the rooftop to the sea on one side and the majestic Hagia Sophia on the other side looks lovely at any time of day or night. The breakfast buffet includes local, homemade lemonades and omelets with veggies, which became our favorite morning dish. The hotel charges for the delicious Turkish coffee, but it’s worth it. We stayed in different rooms, and this year, we found the hidden gem – spacious, comfortable, and cozy at the same time. We were enjoying the unique, gentle aroma of the bath towels, the bathroom rose sachet, and the open wooden windows bringing the cries of seagulls and a divine imam chanting.

I stayed at this hotel 5 nights together with my 24-year-old son. The location was absolutely perfect for exploring the old city centre and the riverfront, and very easy to get to other parts of the city by tram or metro. The breakfast was huge. And the hotel staff was the kindest and most helpful staff we have ever met at a hotel. Just one example: We got cheated by the taxi driver on our way from the airport, and the hotel staff helped us with finding the driver and contacting the tourist police so we actually got our money back. All the staff knew who we were, and they were keen to follow up on all plans and arrangements that we made. They were sooo nice. It really felt like home.

We have absolutely no complaints about this hotel

The staff are very attentive. The location of the property was great! The interior decor was also homely and traditional, which we liked very much.

We noticed that some of the towels and linen could have been improved. We had booked a family suite only to learn that it was located on the 2nd floor with no access via the lift. We then opted for a ground floor suite instead that perhaps wasn't as appealing as the other. There was also construction works taking place opposite the hotel – a little heads up from the hotel would have been much appreciated especially as construction started around 7am!

Beautifully-maintained building with original charm and character right next to many of Istanbul’s biggest tourist sights. The staff were all exceptionally friendly and were kind enough to let my husband and I check in (very) early and even upgraded our room. We loved the comfortable bedding and enjoyed the delicious breakfast so much! We would highly recommend this hotel to any travelers to Istanbul!

Some fixtures in the room (the air conditioner, the bathroom vent) could be updated but these didn’t impact our stay and we would still be happy to return!

The staff is EXCELLENT. The hotel is neat & clean. They allowed us to leave their luggage there for a while after check-in, as we had the rest of the day in Istanbul and were able to collect them at the end of the day. Breakfast on the terrace was good. Location is EXCELLENT , so close to the old town.

We were on the first floor, accessible by stairs only, which we hadn’t realised beforehand. Lugging up suitcases at our age & after a broken foot suffered earlier in the year , is getting difficult.

Hotel Sari Konak is in a great location, reasonable prices, comfortable beds and a very clean hotel. I would highly recommend this hotel. Our room was large, with a large closet, big spacious bathroom with dual sinks and the AC worked great. Our room was one level above the street level with restaurants all around the hotel and across the street, however with windows closed it was quiet. The rooftop terrace was excellent and we enjoyed our daily breakfast up there each morning. The staff were excellent, incredibly helpful and friendly. The hotel location is ideal as it is only a quick 5-minute walk to the Hagia Sophia and the Blue Mosque. Couple more minutes of walk to the tram and most of the must-see sights of Sultanahmet. No need to rent a car, we just used the tram to get to all our locations, including, Grand Bazaar, Egyptian/Spice Market, Galata bridge, Istiklal, Galata tower area and also Dolmabahçe Palace. Just down the street there is a Cheap Market 24/7 convenience store that was extremely helpful when you need to get bottled water, snacks, and other last-minute items for your room.

The property is located in the historical heart of the city, near tourist spots, places to eat out, city transport lines. The property has retained its authenticity and has some great added features, like a rooftop breakfast area with views to the sea, the basement lounge, the elevator. The hotel is clean, cosy. The staff is accommodating. Breakfast selection was sufficient for me.

I think bathroom fittings (taps and shower taps) could do with an upgrade. Perhaps it would be worth investing in a coffee machine in the breakfast area.

Great location. Very friendly and helpful staff from helping with bags, recommending sites and restaurants and arranging car services etc. Breakfast was very expansive and tasty. Was bit to cool during our visit to use the patio or roof terrace but they looked wonderful for warmer weather. Nice linen and towels and daily room service. The family suite worked very well for our family of 4 (2 parents and 2 college age ladies). A very nice bargain.

Bathroom was a bit tired and need some updating. The furnishings - other than the beds - met our needs but were a bit dated and probably due for a refresh. But not much to dislike at Sari Konak.

The hotel is in a very central location a few minutes walk from the two big Mosques. The rooms were extremely comfortable with big wide beds and well a very well appointed. The air conditioning was excellent and quiet. There is a lift to the third floor and easy stairs up to the roof terrace. Breakfast is served on this very pretty roof terrace and it’s also a great place to go too to watch the sunsetting behind the blue mosque and the boats out at Sea. The Terrace has very comfortable seating on it and is a welcome refuge from the hustle and bustle of the city.. the staff of extremely helpful and accommodating and will easily order taxis etc. There is also a lovely basement room looking onto a small enclosed terrace. There are plenty of good places to eat within a very short distance from the hotel, including some lovely rooftop terrace Restaurants.
