Stayed for 6 nights at Bender Hotel with my family and had the most amazing time. The hotel is 5 mins away from all major tourist attractions in Sultanahmet, comes with beautiful views of the Bosphorous, offers solid breakfast options, and is a very quaint, historical place to stay at. I want to specifically thank all the staff at reception who went out of their way to ensure my family's stay was perfect and my parents were accommodated well. We were offered quick, prompt assistance if we needed water or anything else in the room and were also thoughtfully provided complimentary snacks and water, since our check-out was well before the breakfast time. Thank you to everyone, wish to return again soon!

We really liked the accomodation. It was clean and comfortable. The breakfast was also fine and diverse. It is only 5 minutes away from Hagia Sophia and the Blue Mosque.

The hotel is in a rather loud street and the windows let the sound through. Since we were on the third floor, we heard the guests of the forth floor walking over us. If you are rather sensitive by sleeping, I recommend to book a room on the fourth floor.

Noisy Russians upstairs who came in late keeping us awake 3 nights in a row...not the fault of the hotel because on the 3rd night we addressed this at 4am and the night staff did their best yo sort the problem, even offered to give us a different room for the rest of the night. To compensate they gave us free airport transfer. Very pleased with this service and Hotel

We had an amazing stay at the hotel. It is located close to all the shops, to restaurants and cafes, so our daily trips were spent on enjoying our holiday rather than worrying about transport. The staff was always avaliable, and they provided help with literally anything we asked, be it simple things such as sim card usage or instructions on how to get to specific places in the city. They were very professional and all knew English fluently, and they were also very kind and funny. The standard in the hotel was great. The rooms and halls were airy, there was a daily cleaning service, so our rooms were always tidy. The breakfast was delicious with a wide variety of dishes. Fruit, nuts, sweets, bread etc, there was no shortage of choices. (Special thanks to Halit and Umut). The hotel also provided a taxi service that covered the trip from the airport to the hotel and vice versa. The taxi was large and reminiscent of a minibuss, which was much appreciated after a long plane ride. Special thanks to Ferhat, Hamzah and Aiqot (hope I spelled it correctly) who were absolutely lovely and made our stay perfect. Definitely coming back here the next time we visit Turkey.

The cachet. The interior looked like straight out from a period piece, exquisitely decorated. Small, but very comfortable and practical: queen bed, closet, TV set, suitcase stand, coffee machine. The location is perfect. The neighborhood is gorgeous. Less than 10-15 min from the Blue Mosque, Aghia Sofia and Topkapi Palace museum, several bazaars, the tramway line that goes to Galata and beyond...for an overnight stay, I saw a million things, all at walking distance. There is a small supermarket across the street that sells everything, from liquor to phone chargers. Last but not least, the staff was very diligent and attentive. Had the room prepared for me and checked me in early, gave me useful info, offered transfer to and from the airport, and just now, two days after checking out, I asked for my bill and received it within 15 min.

The hotel was very clean, tidy, and modern. The rooms were spacious and comfortable, equipped with everything we needed. We loved the stylish interior, cozy atmosphere, and the peaceful vibe – it was the perfect place to relax after a busy day exploring Istanbul. Breakfasts were delicious and generous – every morning we were greeted with fresh and varied dishes, and the staff made sure we had everything we needed. The hotel’s location is also excellent – close to the city’s main attractions, with many cafes and shops nearby. Bender Hotel combines warm hospitality, quality, and comfort. We truly recommend it to anyone visiting Istanbul. We would gladly return again!

Bed mattresses were a little too soft - personal preference. The morning prayer chants would disturb sleep at 5am, but that’s a full city thing.

I was looking for a place that offered both an authentic local experience and close proximity to the old city center to stay for couple of days with my kids —and that’s exactly what I found at Bender Hotel. The building itself has a charming, traditional feel, and the atmosphere was welcoming from the start. Ferhad and his colleagues were extremely supportive and made sure everything went smoothly during our stay. The location is also fantastic—just a 10-minute walk to many of the main sights and must-see attractions, as well as the tram station with connections to the other side of the city and ferry terminals.

Highly recommend this small hotel. This is the best location to visit Istanbul's old city. Almost all of the famous places you want to visit is walking distance around 6-10 minutes. The interior of a hotel room is very atmospheric. It retains the style of the old building while at the same time new facilities and a clean and tidy experience. The breakfast in this hotel is extremely rich and tasty. The front desk and staff were very friendly. They will take the initiative and arrange everything for you as best they can. It was a wonderful and memorable stay. If you come to Istanbul and choose Bender Hotel, I believe you will love and hotel, and city and the people.

The location was very central so excellent for getting around most of the big attractions on foot once I got in. The street is a busy tourist hot spot so lots of guys on the street trying to show you their menu and get you to have your dinner there. I had a meal and watched the football with one guy on my first night and on the second night when he saw me.going back to my hotel he asked me to come sit for a tea before I left and I had 4x chais on the house before my phone battery died and they relented and let me go back to my room. The breakfast included was good, it was laid out like a buffet and you could make yourself cereal or a sandwich etc but I was loading up on the eggs and something that seemed slightly different each day but was like some combination of onions, peppers, mushrooms, sausage and tomato that was next to the eggs and that was seeing me through until after the about 3 or 4 when I'd go looking for a durum or something.

The closest to a complaint I have is that I didn't appreciate from the map how hilly it is and the bus from the airport dropped me right down at the coast, walking up the hill with all my luggage was the least fun part of my trip but that's on me rather than them.
