Everything went well. My room was great, above the street but that went quiet at an acceptable time and the double glazing helped. It was 5 degrees outside but I didn't need the heating on at all. Plenty of very hot water and the bathroom was very clean. The bed was comfortable and I didn't hear other guests throughout the night. A few inconsiderate Man Utd supporters in the early hours didn't spoil things. Breakfast was fantastic. I like to sample local cuisine and this was. More than enough food and the tea/coffee were never ending. The location couldn't have been better. About 100m from the Sultan Ahmed Mosque (Blue Mosque) and the Grand Bazaar, Topkapi Pakace and Spice Bazaar are well within walking distance. The manager was very friendly and informative. Perhaps one of the most interesting things is that complimentary tea/coffee/ local biscuits are served in the afternoon/evening in a small extension which was apparently a tunnel into the mosque grounds.

Nothing as far as I was concerned. I own a property in the UK and you are never going to please everbody. Some people will complain about the smallest thing, so I look at all reviews as opposed to looking at the odd person who moans. The Novano definitely lived up to it's rating. Note a complaint at all but prepared to be invited into every restaurant within walking distance. I consented and the food was sooo nice!

Lovely staff, clean, air con worked great, bed was comfortable & was really close to the main attractions & restaurants.

We were in the first room which was closest to the entrance door, which was fine the first night. However the next two nights it was quite noisy from the closing of the doors. Maybe the staff could just emphasise to guest to close the doors quietly after 10pm as guesthouse are using the rooms and will hear the doors slam shut. That being said despite our room was facing the road outside the street was relatively quiet from street noise so that was a plus. Still would stay again, I would just maybe ask for a room upstairs or further away from the front door.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at Hotel Novano and overall, it was a delightful experience. The hotel's location was fantastic, providing easy access to various attractions and amenities in the area. The staff at Hotel Novano were incredibly friendly and accommodating, always going above and beyond to ensure a pleasant stay. The pickup and drop off at the airport allowed a stress free transport to and from the airport. I particularly enjoyed the lovely sitting area at the front of the hotel, which provided a great spot to relax and unwind. The staff was also very helpful in arranging last-minute tours, making my trip even more enjoyable. Close to Hagia Sophia and the Blue Mosque, less than 5-10 minute walk. The room was clean and well-maintained, offering a peaceful and quiet atmosphere for a good night's sleep. The breakfast spread had a variety of options to choose from, open buffet style. Overall, I was thoroughly impressed with my stay at Hotel Novano, and I wouldn't hesitate to book a room there again.

It's worth mentioning that there was some persistent salesmanship from restaurants and shops when it came to walking around the neighborhood and the even at the nearby mosques, which could be bothersome. Nevertheless, once I learned to ignore it, everything else about my stay was excellent.

The hotel is in a perfect location, just a short walk from all the main tourist attractions. We booked two rooms, both of which were spotlessly clean, with fresh towels and other essentials replenished daily. The breakfast was excellent, and they even served Turkish coffee. Cookies and tea were available all day in the lobby. The hotel staff were fantastic, welcoming and always ready to assist with anything we needed. A special thanks to them! Although the hotel is rated three stars, the overall service easily surpassed that of many higher-rated places we've stayed at.

The location is excellent. Easy walk to Aya Sofia and Blue Mosque. Next to Arasta Bazar and lots of other shops and restaurants. Breakfast was nice. Staff was friendly and cooperative. There’s a charming old city wall (Byzantine era we were told) that actually forms the backside wall of the hotel.

The bathroom was tiny - larger people may struggle in the shower cubicle. Safe in our room did not work. Our room was on fourth floor and as it’s an old building there’s no elevator - staff helped with the suitcases though. One day the water in the bathroom stopped - but was fixed in ten- fifteen minutes on informing.

We were very surprised with this small hotel in the middle of Sultanahmet (Old City) and right behind the Blue Mosque. A REAL GEM!! Walking distance to many main attractions, shops and restaurants. Fantastic and helpful staff, from the receptionists, up to the chef (preparing a delicious breakfast each morning), and up to the friendly cleaning lady. Complimentary coffee, cake and fruit available throughout the day. We would like to thank each member of the staff for making our stay something special. Conveniently located in Sultanahmet. Rooms are being cleaned every day. Free cookies, tea and fruit. Hotel staff is friendly, attentive, helpful, caring and watching out for you in every possible way (also that you won’t get scammed by taxi drivers). Also seeking solutions when a problem appears. They made me feel safe and welcomed, also helped to organise my solo trip, so didn’t have to look up everything. Been to many hotels, but such staff is a a rare gem.

Bathrooms are clean, but little worn out Closets are very small

This was my first time visiting Istanbul as a solo female traveller, and I couldn't have made a better choice than Hotel Novano. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, and the service was truly impeccable. My room was cleaned every morning, and every evening when I returned, it was spotless and inviting. The location is fantastic — just a few minutes' walk from the Aya Sofya and the Sultanahmet Mosque. Eminönü port is easily accessible via the T1 tramway, which is about a 10-minute walk from the hotel. The area feels very safe, making it perfect for solo travellers. I personally felt very welcomed and completely at ease throughout my stay. Breakfast is served until 10:30 AM and is absolutely delicious, offering a traditional Turkish spread with plenty of options. In the afternoon, the hotel also offers complimentary tea, coffee, and cakes/biscuits — a lovely treat after a day exploring the vibrant streets of Istanbul. I would like to extend a special thank you to the team at Hotel Novano, especially Omar and Turkan, for making my stay so stress-free and comfortable. Overall, I would rate this hotel 10/10 for its value, location, cleanliness, staff, and breakfast. Highly recommended!

Nothing. It was perfect.

The hotel is located in the tourist area of the city, close to the city center and major tourist attractions. The room was adequate for us (we mainly used it for sleeping), and the staff were friendly and helpful. The breakfast was delicious, but it would have been better to include more Turkish specialties. Coffee and tea were available throughout the day, along with some sweets. This was a very nice gesture towards the guests.

The room faced a wall, but it was a historic city wall, so we appreciated it. After all, we were only here to sleep.

Location of the hotel is just perfect, few minutes walking from main attractions like Hagia Sophia or Topkapi palace. Also a lot of restaurants on the same street. After 11pm it was so quiet that we were able to sleep with open window. The room was simple but comfortable and super clean and the breakfast was really tasty. Big bonus for the tea and cookies available in the afternoon next to the lobby.
