Our stay at Begonville Mansion Old City Hotel in Istanbul was absolutely wonderful from start to finish. The hotel itself is charming, clean, and located in the heart of Sultanahmet – perfect for exploring the historic city. But what truly made our experience unforgettable was the incredible staff. A heartfelt thank you to Ilayda and Aziz at the reception, who welcomed us with such warmth and professionalism. They were always ready to help with a smile, answering all our questions and making sure everything was perfect during our stay. We also want to sincerely thank Mahya at the restaurant, who took amazing care of us every morning during breakfast. She was so attentive, friendly, and thoughtful – always ensuring we had everything we needed to start the day right. Her service felt personal and genuine, and she made us feel like valued guests every single day. Thanks to the wonderful team and the cozy atmosphere, this hotel felt more like a home than just a place to stay. We highly recommend Begonville Mansion to anyone visiting Istanbul – and we’ll definitely be coming back

Began with the an excellent welcome by the Staff, presenting a Juice & Tea. Moved to the Reception office, and was very smooth & rapid CHECKIN. Been alloted ROOM 502, which was extra clean & comfy. Superb relaxing BED and lovely spacious RESTROOM. Stayed for 3 nights, BREAKFAST included which was huge / delicious / fresh with unlimited TEA. Finally at CHECKOUT, which was again very fast, requested to leave the luggage for couple of days, coz need to catch the flight for the other city, Hence again, with a great smile they accepted the request. I would finish with, the whole STAFF, along with the OWNERS itself all all were more then kind. I would recommend this place for each & every traveler, whether family, friends of COUPLE. Definitely would stay at the same MANSION without any doubts. Thank you the TEAM of BEGONVILLE MANSION for all your love & hospitality. Appreciated.

I am writing my sincere review of the hotel and the staff of the Begonville Mansion Oldcity hotel. The street on which the hotel is located is very atmospheric, it is really close to all the main attractions of Istanbul, everything is within walking distance. I consider this point very important for those who are in Istanbul for the first time. Those who come here with children, there are two wonderful playgrounds next to the hotel. The hotel building is beautiful, such a classic Turkish house. In the evening, the lanterns on the street glow very beautifully, the atmosphere of a fairy tale. The room we lived in is very clean. Towels were changed every day. The room has air conditioning, so no heat is scary. The room is small, but very atmospheric. The bathroom is also clean. The breakfasts are classic Turkish. Very tasty and super fresh, and the portions they give are more than sufficient. I personally liked that the breakfast is fixed, you don't have to think about what to choose for breakfast, they have already thought of everything for you. Turkish coffee is a special love. And the most important thing is the staff, everyone smiled every day and was happy to help. It's like old friends you've known for a long time and came to visit them. I want to thank the people who work in the restaurant, unfortunately I don't know your names, but you will remain in my heart. Thank you again for the surprise on my birthday, it was really unexpected and especially nice 🤍 Whoever is planning a trip to Istanbul and doesn't know where to stay, I sincerely recommend this hotel, I'm 100% sure that you will like it. My family is happy with everything! (P.S. the sounds of the azan coming from the mosques make this place even more atmospheric)

Everything is perfect !

We had an enjoyable stay in what felt more like separate apartments than a traditional hotel. The room was amazing—neat, clean, and very comfortable. While room service was not available, the setup was still convenient for a short stay. A big plus was the café Begonville right next door, which offered a great spot for breakfast and coffee. The staff were friendly and helpful, with a special mention to Aziz, who went out of his way to assist us with all our questions and made us feel welcome. Overall, a good stay—comfortable accommodations with kind and responsive service.

Nothing as such but room service option would have been cherry on the top ;). Breakfast options could also be expanded as quite less for vegetarians.:/

A Perfect Stay in Istanbul! Our experience at this accommodation was absolutely wonderful! The room was spacious, very warm, and impeccably clean. Every detail was carefully maintained, making our stay incredibly comfortable. The breakfast was exceptional—plentiful, delicious, and with a great variety of options. The service was flawless, with staff always attentive and professional. Everyone was extremely kind and went above and beyond to assist us, even helping with printing our boarding passes for the flight. We couldn’t have asked for a better experience, and we will definitely return! Everything was simply perfect. Highly recommended!

When we booked the place we were bit worried that the place wouldn't be as the pictures but to be honest it was better than the pictures. Big roooms, nice design, tasty turkish breakfast, nice staff, comfy beds too. I dont think you can easily find a hotel with breakfast at that rate in Istanbul. Rooms are cleaned regularly. Location was also great just 10 minutes walk to Sultanahmet Square and major sightseeing. Alot of shops, restaurant, supermarket around too.

Great customer service and fantastic location! 7min walk to Blue Mosque, 10min to Hagia Sophia and 20 to Grand Bazar. It was clean, and we had our towels changed every day. Included breakfast was fresh and slightly changed every morning. We were not able to finish the whole portion even once. I would highly recommend this place to anyone who doesn't want to spend loads but still wants to stay within walkable distance to most of the main attractions of Istambul. We' be definitely back soon! 😊

Check-in was a smooth process, and you felt very welcome. The room was spacious, clean and we could hear no noise from the street. Breakfast was nice and served at the table. The hotel is located on a quiet street, with lots of restaurants nearby, as well as supermarket and shops. It is close to the mosques, just a bit uphill walk though. It was very relaxing to come back to a clean, quiet room after a long day of sightseeing. We checked out before breakfast on the last day, but they made us sandwiches and drinks to take with. Very great service from all people working on-site.

The room was cute, comfortable, clean (housekeeping comes daily) and exactly as pictured. The hotel and restaurant staff were very responsive and kind. They even drove us over to the bus stop to catch the airport bus. Super nice of them! :) The location is good. It's about a 9 min walk to the tram station (uphill, but not bad) And 12 ish to the main square with the top attractions. Breakfast was good and filling with speedy and friendly service! It was our first time in Istanbul and we very much enjoyed our stay.

We stayed at Begonville on a girls trip and had a great experience. We got upgraded to a bigger room free of charge, which we really appreciated, it was very comfortable. The hosts offered a welcome drink of tea and coffee and got heaps of recommendations for our trip. We pretty much walked everywhere in Sultanahmet, it’s more than manageable. We enjoyed the breakfast very much, it was the same every morning, but it has a good variety of different foods and was more than enough to start the day for us. You can see on the picture what we got for two with one of us being vegetarian. They have multiples buildings in the street and their cafe/restaurant where we had breakfast and got 10% off for any other visit. We were able to leave our luggage in their office space after check out until leaving for our flight. Would definitely stay again, it’s great value for your money.
